What people like
- Better than most local news apps
- Works well on iPad
- Great for staying updated locally
What they complain about
- App crashes or won't open
- Ads are annoying and intrusive
- News stories update very slowly
Terrible remake
What a crazy change.Have been a reader for 75 years.Put it back
Where
Increased price, new layout, can’t find obits etc … very horrible change
New Update 7.0.1
What the description of the 7.0.1 app update didn’t say is you no longer can read the London Free Press free of charge. I guess if they had of put that in the description no one would have updated their app. I know I’m disappointed now that I did!
Better before
I am a digital subscriber. I liked the a app before it was changed a few months ago. It is disappointing. I was expecting more articles since I am more likely to peruse the app than edition of paper. Only one or two local articles 👎
Great for a local news app
While I agree with most other users, that it needs to be more visually appealing and updated more frequently, this app is a giant quality leap forward for the paper. Looks pretty good, free from bugs and native to the ipad. Also leaps better than most local news sites and apps in Canada. So I’m giving 5 stars I hope more people will use it and as people do it gets even better. Thanks!
Slow app
This app will crash my phone 50% of the time. It’s too big and messy and bulky. Need a streamlined simper app
What Happened?
Why can I no longer expand the pages like before on my iPad? Since my iPad updated it will no longer expand to readable text. The text is too small for me to read. Please update the app.
iOS 13
Since the update to iOS 13 I am not able to use the app. It is frozen on stories from last week. Looking forward to bug fixes!
App doesn’t open
Hi, up to a week ago I was enjoying this app with the up to date articles. Than it just stopped opening. Tried deleting and reinstalling it but still won’t open. Please fix this problem. Thanks
Now with a pay wall
Sorry, not paying the e-Freeps.
Weekends only
Only been working on the weekends
Bad
After reading the London free press for most of my life I think I’m done. So long local news
Update
This app needs an update or something!! Was working perfectly fine a few weeks ago but now you can’t click on anything or even scroll down. Have tried to delete/reinstall and same thing so pls update!!!!
Sorry I don’t feel like I should have to create an account.
New changes are terrible.
Glitches
Pages seem to freeze, won’t load, and when they do load the pages struggle to keep up to your scrolling from all the advertisements. Guess that’s why it’s free, right?
Issue with obits
Obits not loading properly
Rating drops
This version of the app has been decent and reliable for the most part. HOWEVER!!! The recent video ads for Hyundai or Mazda popping up from nowhere and filling the screen are NOT the way to satisfy your advertising requirements! Especially when the ads open on every article and the “Close” button only responds on the fourth click. Massively annoying.
Big city
App takes several minutes to update new news stories. Post media can’t afford a decent app developer
Won't load current stories
I enjoy staying caught up on news in the area, this app is wonderful, when it works. However, I have to delete the app regularly and reload it because the news won't refresh. It was 3 days behind today and wouldn't update. Please fix it.
Horrible working app
I find this app to be extremely frustrating. It rarely works properly, adds pop up way too much and impossible to get rid of adds. I’ve tried contacting them. You get little help if any response st all. Lately it hasn’t been working. I’m deleting for good.
Annoying ads video
Hey, please take away the annoying ad video that plays automatically when you open the app. It's extremely annoying and makes me want to get rid of your app.
Newest version just opens and closes immediately
Will not stay open to use, since downloading newest version haven’t been able to open the app.
This app crashes a lot
With the new “bug fix” the app won’t even open. It crashes on loading.
