Best productivity app
TeuxDeux has been a game changer in helping me keep track of tasks and has increased my productivity! Love it!
So buggy
I thought this would be a good app to use. I started adding a few items and they are not even being accurately stored! One month subscription totally wasted. Cannot even perform the most basic function reliably. Logging off!!
Almost perfect
Coming from a cluttered TickTick, this was a nice clean app to use. The intentional choice of no alerts works for my current life, ability to focus, and the fact I have to constantly re-triage what I can get done. I’m a shift worker, so time blocking and typical tools don’t quite fit my workdays, and simplicity with consistency to knock things out is what works. My one gripe is that the mobile version and web version cannot do enough similar things. With ADHD I value consistency when inboxing or expanding on new tasks. The fact I can’t edit a note on the mobile version or change colors on the line is a bit frustrating, and it tempts me to deviate to other apps. I could use a notepad but then I have to remember to transfer information later, and it adds work on the back end. I do not have a desk job, I’m constantly on my feet and the go in healthcare, and while I value taking time or having routine to sit down with the web version, it’s not always feasible. I would love to see an app for iPad or the Apple watch (or android counterparts) as being able to dictate into the watch on the go has saved me from super forgetful moments or times when I cannot have my phone out at work, but I could compromise if the mobile app was just a bit more aligned with the web version.

I did 2 stars cause you notice ot bcz i have very important update for you. When we create task any day of calander and when we open calander view so there should be a colorful (what color we selected for task) dot appere so we can understand this date have tasks please add it
Wish it was better
This is the best to do list maker I have found. But it has quirks I hate. Since it’s the only one I like I stick with it. The items I check off will randomly just pop back up even with the latest version installed. I will check something off and it just appears again. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of a checklist. The little guy that floats down with the umbrella is cute, but wish it had other options for this.
Stands the test of time
To do apps have come and gone. I’ve tried them all. TeuxDeux remains. Have been a paid user for over a decade. Simplicity is what you need, and TD gives that to you. If your are a list maker, TD gives you the tools to tickle that part of your brain while prioritizing individual tasks across them all.
Total ignore Communications
Their communication skills leave a lot to be desired. I have made a query/request and received the automated bog-standard response This said a response within “a few hours”. DAYS later I am still waiting. This has left me in quandary. Your product is the best I have seen. So do I stay? Your (as I say above), response time is rubbish and has ruined the experience. Decision’s made - as communications are the backbone of any organisation including mine, ‘bye.
iPad version
Good and easy app. I would love to see it available for iPad. True you can use it on the web but there are glitches and it doesn’t look as good at in native iphone ver.
Issues with IPad and with Help support
iPad version does not offer a drag and move and when contacting help or support for this app, they say they will respond in a few hours, but have left numerous emails and have yet to receive a response after 4 days
Mobile phone Ability
Absolute need to be able to drag/drop/change to a different day within the app. I use my cell phone over my laptop 99.99% of the time - should be able to use the app the same as the laptop. Makes it nearly useless on the phone.
Good Stuff
Simple, elegant, reliable. After years of experimenting, tweaking, and ultimately collapsing under the weight of complexity of other solutions, I came back to this deceptively powerful tool.
No response from customer service
I have now emailed customer service three times about a payment issue yet no one has come back to me. This is not acceptable. Can you please get in touch with me.
My go-to app
I love the simplicity of this app. The week layout on the desktop is great for planning since I can see several days at a time and can move tasks around easily. On iOS I wish they would bring back the Timeline. I asked for it a long time ago and was promised it would return but it never did.
Wish there was one app that could do it all
This is an ok app but I’d like to be able to have a “masterlist” of to-dos which I could view in categories of prioritisation (eg. Eisenhower matrix-style urgent, important or work/personal) so that I could drag from that list into specific day.
Good.Wish it had more features.
So far it’s working for an easy place to gather all my lost. It does not have a print feature which I could use as a daily printable. Also I cannot figure out how to reappear a task every 4th week. Good app but could use some improvement.
Great and fun task list
I’ve been using TeuxDeux for about 3/4 years now and it’s slowly become my go-to task list for my daily life while also helping plan or list other things in my life (long term goals, grocery shopping list, movies I want to watch, etc.). The annual price is also very fair.
Terrible customer service
Avoid. There’s SO much better out there. Now it’s free on iPhone, so guess who became the product? US!

Need an iPad optimised app
Simply put, need an iPad optimised app. Paying customer expects this.
Great premise, falls short for primarily mobile users
I really, really wanted this app to work for me. It has everything I want and none of the bells and whistles or gimmicky features that other todo list / productivity apps try and cram in, which ends up making something that ought to be simple… a task in itself to enter info in. But, although TeuxDeux is great in its simplicity, aesthetic, and premise… it falls short because some actions and features are only operable via the website / on a computer. For me, the point of having a task manager app is that it’s always on hand and can be used on the go. When I need to add notes, checklists (even just separate lines), etc on a separate device to that which my to do list lives on? it’s adding extra steps. I may as well carry a paper planner :( If all features were usable on mobile (and if I could somehow colour code tasks that belong to different # Subheadings), TeuxDeux would be my Perfect Solution. Superior to other ‘simple’ apps, way more manageable than apps like TickTick that overcrowd their app’s purpose. Could also do with having more options with the widgets — currently can only display ‘Today’ on my home screen. It’s a good app! Just… too fiddly for users like me.
Shortcuts support!
Would love to see iPhone Shortcuts support for this app so I could ask Siri to add to-dos on the go! Beautifully simple app that is deceptively deep, effective and well designed.
If it’s not broken don’t try to fix it….
This used to be the best app on earth and made my life 100% easier to arrange / organize. After the new update nothing works correctly anymore though. Can’t add items without it failing 1/2 the time and I can’t even rearrange/move my items on my to do list without them disappearing. Have emailed support multiple times but they don’t seem interested in fixing it; really wish people wouldn’t try to change/fix things that aren’t broken…. Oh well. Looks like I’ll have to finally change to another app that has better developers who care about their customers.
Dec 2023 massive IOS improvement
I love the changes on iPhone, they’re so much more intuitive and time saving. As a long time Reminders user the way to edit an item now aligns rather than having to swipe. It always felt cumbersome, so much appreciated change. I also like the new checkbox on the left which doesn’t detract from the app’s graphic simplicity. PS thanks to YT’s Dawn / The Minimal Mom for the TD introduction!

I wish you would let us get notifications cause I can’t get them and put them in the sidebar of my iPhone
Clean but missing quality of life features
Overall I really enjoy this app and will likely continue to use it. However it’s very disappointing that for a paid app all I get is a phone app. I do most of my productive work on my iPad or Mac to purposefully distance myself from my phone. But there’s no native app for either of those. The Mac has a better solution with chromes ability to make a website into a desktop app but the iPad app not having the same pretty display as the website is frustrating to say the least. There’s also no SSO and it’s not set up for me to use my password manager to enter my password either. Which would all be fine if it weren’t for the price of the subscription. I’ll stick it out and I hope to see these change in the future.

Loving it so far, couple of niggles
TD is a discovery today via a YouTuber, and I think it has the potential to be life changing, particularly once I’ve got to grips with the small challenges. I’ve immediately decanted my entire brain into it, to instantly feel calmer. Love the different lists, just trying to figure out how to compress a day’s to dos with the daily activities somehow differentiated. Otherwise excited to see where it leads me!
Good but not motivating 100%
This app requires to have technology around you every single day such as phone, computer and email with Internet only. I feel trapped and I get annoyed when message pops up asking me to connect data or wifi. It doesn't make sense when I have to pay when the trial ends. It is just to-do list and checklist and calendar, that's it. It's organized but not really helpful.
still promising
Still a promising tool but a long way to go hasn’t been updated for eight months so definitely looking for a major update. The web browser seems very good but the app could do with a lot of work. off-line still feels clunky.
Simple yet amazing tool!
I am a mom & entrepreneur-teacher. I had a hard time keeping my tasks together in one place. I have Asana but use it sparingly for long-term planning. This app when used effectively is extremely and surprisingly POWERFUL. Don’t let its simplicity fool you. I think Asana will be backseat to this one. Am a fan and would recommend.
Breaks functionality
This app has always been rubbish but I put up with it because it worked similar to the Web app. The new version fixes some bugs but very annoyingly BREAKS EXISTING FUNCTIONALITY. For something that wants to be a daily use app this is a cardinal sin. I have emailed and sent tweets requesting a fix. I even asked for a timeline for one so can manage my expectations. The authors decide they're not going to fix it. An attitude that reminds me of authors who throw something up of little value and just don't care for customers. So anyway zero stars and my money goes to Todoist now.
Super Streamlined To-Do + GTD App
Great app for all things tasks! If I could suggest one improvement @Q4 2023: please add the functionality of being able to go deeper with each individual task item, so we can add a bit of detail within/underneath a task 🙏🏽?!
Disappointed
Excuse me? I paid for the app almost 2 years ago and now you want me to pay more for service? Thanks. You just made purging my iPhone of apps that muck easier. I enjoy the app I paid for, but to keep myself organized, I'll find another solution.
Not available offline!
I thought i would retry this app after giving up on it years ago. Still no offline functionality in 2024! It just baffles me. I don’t know a single other todo app I’ve tried that requires me to be online for basic functionality. It’s such a simple app. Offline use wouldn’t be difficult to implement. Devs please consider it.
Really big help with organizing tasks
With TeuxDeux, I’m able to capture tasks and then organize them into different lists based on dates they are due , weeks or months in general, or projects I create. I can then see everything through the web browser on 1 screen and move tasks between dates and lists. The mobile app is very good too. I hope they are maintaining it and do additional development. It’s really good!
It's a Pay-for App...
...but they fail to tell you this upfront. App looks good & simple-enough; until you try to use it but need an account (which they tell you) but, turns out, the trial is free then it's subscription-based. For what? A to-do app which offers...what exactly? If it's great, I'll pay but not before I can try it without that obligation. So, being forthright is something the team should focus on first 'cuz there's little else being offered.

Really want to use this app, but...
This app has massive potential, & is EXACTLY what I want in a time management system. However I have had consistent issues with the iPhone app not syncing. I have had to reinstall the app several times but the problems remain and i am now frustrated enough to give up on it. I know updates are being worked on but until then I have to find something else. Sad!

Not working
UPDATE: If the app doesn't work for you, open the website in Safari and save a link to your home screen. Use this "web app" version instead of the App Store app. ### Upgraded my phone to the 6s and the app stopped working. Like another reviewer mentioned, I can't add new items and check things off. Used to work on my iPhone 5.
Great but missing some essential features
No iPad app or 2 factor authentication support make paying for this slightly frustrating (for web support).
Too Bad
Sadly the new version is very bugged. Tasks keep multiplying or disappearing. Usabilty was better in the last app as well. Very disappointed and will definitely not pay for a subscription.

Disappointment
Read a review calling it "slick". Not even close. The app was littered with HTML not rendering properly, the links and videos didn't work, nor did most of the commands you are supposed to be able to use. The first instruction was to "hover" over an item. It's an iPhone app! iPhones have touchscreens. At least a double tap made that command work, however not even their example italicised and bold items were, well, italicised or bold. Waste of my time.

Couple of things that would be nice. - Ability to display date as DD/MM - Default to caps lock on for each new item - My someday items are not coming through, sync bug?
Good but could be better
So the core functionality and overall aesthetic are fantastic. My only issue is that it really has trouble syncing mobile tasks with the desktop version. It’s only one thing but it’s such a major and simple thing that I’m surprised it happens so consistently. If this got fixed it would be 5 stars, no question.
