Drucken als auch Scannen funktioniert einwandfrei mit meinem > 10 Jahre alten Brother MFC! Sehr komfortabel, dass ich nicht mehr den Umweg über den PC machen muss.
The worst printer and app…ever
Brother printers and they’re set up apps are the worst. After an hour. My printer is still not set up. Not even AI can help set up this terrible platform. Buy an HP or ANYTHING ELSE!!!!
Hi. How to fix this?
Not a huge issue but it keeps setting default to 2-sided copies, which is almost never a preference. I’ve changed it in app and on the printer but it resets whenever I plug it in again. I have an older Laser model which has come in clutch many times over the years, the HL-L2380DW.
Outdated app….it just opens browser windows.
This app essentially useless and totally outdated — it doesn’t seem to do much of anything itself. Instead, after linking my printer to it, whenever I tried requesting a feature (e.g., checking the printer status, print history, toner remaining, etc.) the app doesn’t do anything itself….it just opens a browser window within the app and tries to do what I asked the app to do via the browser window (but 99 times out of 100, the browser window won’t actually connect to my printer!). If I wanted to check my printer via a series of browsers windows, I wouldn’t need a dedicated printer app from the manufacturer. Come on Brother - it’s 2026, yet this app seems like it’s 15-20 years old in terms of its design and functionality. It should be scrapped completely and replaced with a modern version (BTW, yes, Brother does have modern apps that work fine with SOME printers, but not all of them…. when I used one of the other modern apps with my 2 printers, only one of my printers (the B&W model) was compatible with the other app (even though that printer is many years older than my color printer). My color printer would not work with the modern app, and that other app told me that I needed to download and use this horrible app instead. How dumb.
Stopped working? Here’s a fix
This app worked for years on my Apple devices with my DCP-L2550DW. It recently stopped working. I recorded a PCAP file and saw the printer was not responding to SNMP v1. It turns out the printer configuration switched to full SNMP v3 (which IMHO v3 is anything but “simple”) The fix: By configuring the printer to allow v1 and v2 read access for SNMP, the app works again!

It worked for years with the Brother printer now the iPhone will not connect. What a pain.

仕事で使ってますが、凄く重宝してます。難点を上げるとすれば、1度アプリを閉じてまた、まったく同じ大きさ取りたい時などは縮小と拡大が%表示ではないので、勘でやるしかないのです。すごく不便に感じます。どうか%表示に改善して頂けませんか？
Missing half the functionality of the PC app
Basic functionality like selecting scan resolution is not available in the app. Nice features of the PC app like workflows and scan to Google Drive are also unavailable. Waste of time to use the mobile app even if more convenient than PC
Bloopers
This prints awesomely but it has a lot of bloopers that make it print 2x as much as it is supposed to!

FAX送信が1枚ずつしか出来なくなり不便を感じていたが、アプデで改良され喜んでいた。 その後しばらくして、プリンターを検出出来なくなっている。 同じWi-Fiに繋がっているがプリンターが見つからない。 またアプデお願いします →何も変更してないが、急に接続出来るようになりました。
Almost useless app
Why in the world is there no option to rotate my image when I want to print from my iPad??? It keeps rotating my image and then I can't rotate it to what I need! This is stupid.

いまだに当時のプリンターが壊れずに伴ってこのアプリも使っているのですが、原稿台ガラスを使ってスキャンするときに、今何枚目をスキャンしているのか、更には一枚ずつプレビューを見られるようにしていただけると、僕の心が折れずに済みます🙏 古いアプリなので、余裕があったら対応していただきたく存じます。
Please fix
This app used to work beautifully! I’m missing it as I am now unable to print and assuming the later IOS update was the cause as I had little issue before the update and have been using this printer and app for 7 years. Yes,all devises are connected to the same WiFi as the printer. IOS version 26.2.1 is the update that resulted in being unable to print. I hope Brothers comes up with a solution.
Limited
Scans fine. Prints whole documents fine. Awful for pictures. Cannot control how large the photo will be. Try to print a 5x7 photo on a 8x11 sheet of paper, say a shipping label. Nope. It’ll print over the whole sheet. One massive picture whether you like it or not. Not any worse than the iPhone print app tho.

Connectivity Death Zone
Just as many other users, my printer (MFC-J4620DW) would not connect. AI stated the problem seems to be an outdated firmware which is incompatible with current iOS updates. So I have a large brick sitting at my desk. Apparently there is no viable solution to this problem.
Works fine for me
I have an MFC-L2750DW and an MFC-8905CDW. I have no difficulty printing to either one from my iPhone.
Buggy app needs replacing
Hey Brother don’t try to tweak this , just replace altogether with something from a real developer. Always gets flummoxed by iOS updates and the UI feels like 2007. I will not buy another Brother if this continues to be the app.

Can’t turn off double sided printing
No matter what I do, I cannot turn off double sided printing. Please fix this.
Can’t print now
I’m not sure if the app needs fixing and updates or if it is a related issue with iOS 26.2 but I was printing fine with iPrint&scan on iOS 18 but with 26.2 I the app says it can not find my machine (printer) on my network. Network setup showed connected to network. Printer is an older Brother DCP-L2540DW. Wondering if others having similar experience.

Cannot print
no matter what I do the iPrint & Scan app won’t let me search for the file I need to print. Useless.

アプリ削除してインストールしなおしたからか分からんけど、このアプリから印刷用紙サイズ変えれた！ PDF印刷するには、①プリント②クラウドサービス③icloudDriveえらんで④ブラウス選んだらできた！ 両面印刷もできた！ ただ、長辺とじと短辺とじの意味がよくわからないけど、長辺とじを選択すれば両面印刷出来た。 アップデートは、セキュリティがどうのっていうの何とかして欲しい。
Not printing
To use the iprint application I have to restart the router, restart the printer and pray it works half of the time it doesn’t work. This happens even when the printer is visible in the application. It just won’t print. I am in the same network as a printer. Please make it better app or fix this one.
Brother, iPrint and scan
OK, it’s not the worst app in the world. But it does not make itself easy to use. Make sure the app is loaded. It helps if it’s open. When you go to print some thing and hit print, you will be told there are no air printers on the network. That’s not really true because you have your brother printer on the network. So you have to dig for it go to the grade out button on the far right and it will open up other apps. Hopefully, your brother iPrint&Scan app will be there. You just need to dig. Reloading it is always a good option. Also entering the exact IP address that the printer resides on in your network will also help. Best of luck to you.

I downloaded, opened it, found my printer, and did a scan in u dear two minutes. Top notch work, app people.

Very difficult to connect Mac-j985dw printer.
Buggy
Old app quit connecting to printer via wifi. Deleted app and reinstalled and fixed the wifi issue but now the Airdrop doesn’t connect 🙄

Ich nutze die App gerne, Drucken und Scannen geht idR schnell und umkompliziert. Ich würde mir jedoch wünschen, dass man in der App auswählen kann, ob der Druck in Farbe oder in schwarz-weiß erfolgen soll.
Doesn’t work now
Scan and print worked beautifully a few years ago. Won’t auto detect scanner or printer. IP address doesn’t work manually. New iPad. Will delete and reinstall to see if that will fix it.
Needs a Little More Loving
The app refers users to another app for the scan part of print and Scan. I found it difficult to initiate the short cuts including email and iCloud. As such very limited capabilities.

Hard to see ‘save’ button when Exporting PDF to “iDrive”
First time I tried a scan-to-phone, I didn’t even notice/get an offer of JPG or PDF, but more ‘egregiously’ once I was able to Share as PDF, I thought it couldn’t save a copy to iOS/iCloud “Files” because there was no visible OK/Done/Save icon (my phone is permanently using Dark Mode, in case that matters) when I am in any folder 📁. When that happened last time, I saved to a Note instead to use iOS native apps to re-save in Files, but this time I ‘guessed’ where a Save icon might be, at it worked!
Not compatible with newest I phone
I bought a brother p touch to label units I sell. Why is it not compatible with the I phone 16 pro max??
Fan continuous if black toner low
This is more about the firmware than the app. Like probably most customers, I don’t appreciate the machine holding my power bill hostage until toner is replenished
Works well for my MFC-J430W printer
Never really had any major problem with my printer which I’ve had over 8 years or this app which is newer to me. An ability to show current ink levels through the app would be a nice addition though.
Stopped working
MFC-L3770CDW Have printed with my iPad & iPhone for years. All of a sudden it just stopped working, no message. Nothing. Can’t even find a print queue on this toddleresque app to see if the print button works, job stuck in queue, whatever. WTHeck. My laptop still prints though. PIA

Good app, I regularly using it from many years. Missing one important feature it used to have. It doesn’t tell the scanned page count while scanning. You need to count the multiple pages manually to ensure that all pages are scanned.
