Not everything is a video!
Hey 7 developers…stop forcing videos down my throat. All I want to do is click on the stupid alert and read the stupid article. Stop bringing me to breaking videos that don’t play. Not everything is a breaking video.
Just downloaded the App and…
So I just downloaded the App and, looking for a particular story I saw last night. Thought I’d be able to Search for it, only to find.,.NO Search option? I’m hoping I’m just having a senior moment and totally overlooked it: hence the 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and not 4. Also noted the Most Recent review was Nov 2024? I love Channel 7 News and I’d love to be able to give the App a 5-⭐️Review, so please tell me where the Search option is located. Thanks!!
big fan
of channel 7 news! i watch all day long
Almost no videos load
Tried to watch the beach closing videos and only a static view is shown. No videos will load so unusable. I can't do alerts for a special upcoming program such as America 250, and if all I'll get is static view then you've got a useless app there. Deleted.
Volume issues
I use this app on my Roku primarily for the Live news feature because I don’t have cable. I appreciate it’s availability, however, the app has some serious volume issues. Sports segment is VERY loud but then you can barely hear the weather. I have my finger on the volume button because I’m constantly having to increase and decrease the volume depending on what segment is on.
No coverage about local town halls & forced radiating 5G antenna placements
I appreciate most coverage here, but a huge health disaster in the making is being ignored: The untested for long-term health impacts of the 5G and 4G cell antenna going up everywhere without proper notification or disclosure. Same for (not) “Smart” Broadcasting ) Meters that also pulsate high amounts of radio frequency radiation /according to high Tech instrumentation used by industrial building biologists -that tell us we are now being forced to live in the “cancer zone.” This is the invisible pollution that is not being covered most likely because of Industry influence. and that is a tragedy.
Tired of Covid numbers
I had to turn off alerts because I’m burned out after 2 years of Covid daily numbers! Enough I’d enough.
News
I like it
Annoying
I have had this app for years and years, but lately the notifications about the Patriots are becoming too much. I get it, they’re headed to the Super Bowl and it’s exciting, but I have this app for breaking news. Not to follow a sports team. Maybe the developers should consider adding preferences to the settings so we can decide what we want notifications for.
Good but not great -- Great reporters. Annoying that the live video cuts out for static screens
The news teams are great. But the app blankscommercials shoein
Mgt
Site is poorly managed. Re attn to detail
Would be better if compatible with Roku, Firestick
This app would be perfect if it could be installed on Roku or Firestick, it cuts out constantly when streaming from my iPhone.
Love 7News
I love the 7News app because my household has YouTube TV and they don’t have 7News on it so it’s the App or 7News at 10 on channel 56
Local news stories are badly out of date
National news apps are way more up to date even on local news.
Fix app
This app was great but if I open it right now I can’t get beyond the notifications enable disable screen. Help?
You can’t scroll through stories
Every time you try to scroll through the stories, the app pulls you back to the top of the screen and makes it nearly impossible to read through what’s on the page. Super annoying!
Thanks Channel Seven
Thanks for bring Independent Journalism to New England.
Useless app
After awhile you’ll random stop receiving notifications
News
I receive notifications on news & when I click on it, the app opens up, but the article from the notifications are not available. Happens all the time.
Audio starts w/o a prompt
I like the variety of the stories but have no patience for having to stop the audio/newsreels. I’ve already deleted this app twice because of this. The selection for the locations for local news is better than the other stations. I just can’t look at the stories in a waiting room.
My favorite local TV news network.
Channel 7 is second to none in the Boston News world.
Quoting CNN “Fake News”
Lost me when you reported fake news right before the election from CNN. I always thought you were pretty neutral. How naive was I!? The propaganda that you are now a part of saddens me. I am deleting this app.
Fire stick
It would be great to watch 7News on an app for fire stick. You’re not on Youtubetv and with so much cable cutters, it would be great to be able to watch the most unbiased news in Boston
Old news
I expect online newspapers to be static. Don’t understand why I’m not seeing more real time news on this site. For example, we were scoping out what to do on first night and the newsfeed was at least 45 minutes behind actual events. Otherwise, good reporting, particularly local. Thank you.
Don’t announce game results
Millions of people have the DVR at home. They may not be caught up LIVE with games. STOP sending smart phone notifications of the game results immediately after the game. You can wait a few hours. You are spoiling it for so many people. If it does not end, I’m gonna delete your app.

Review of Seven News
Seven News is the best station in New England. All of the staff are professional, articulate, and knowledgeable. I count on WHDH for all my news, weather, and sports coverage. I congratulate all the staff, as you’re number one in my opinion. Thanks, and please share this with all of your employees, as it takes a real team to be as successful as Seven News!!!
Amazon fire TV
I love channel 7 Bostons news. I got rid of cable tv about two years ago. Now I just pay for internet and I use Amazon fire tv sticks. I love them and I love not paying a huge cable bill every month. The only problem is that the fire stick will not let me down load your free website! Maybe this is something you could look into with Amazon. I still watch your news but I have to watch it on my cell phone. Keep up the good news!
Love it
Channel seven is fair and balanced. Very informative. I enjoy watching the news coverage around Boston and the surrounding.
Blocked
Why can’t I watch news live? Fox News I can. Cow 13 Tampa I can but not boston. Explain.
Informative
Enjoyable
All Adds
Are used to use this app every day but now, every time I open the story, I have to watch 15 seconds of that before you even get to the news have deleted it since
