Complete scam
Every single listing is locked behind their awful overpriced subscription service. You’re forced into a multiple month contract with no way of paying month to month (scam). Avoid at all costs
Google translate
They should integrate google translate or make it easier to open in google. Should also show distance to place of work or other location on the apartment page.
No property ever got to me
I was signed up, had my notifications on and was activity applying for flats in Frankfurt. I contacted regarding atleast 50 properties and not even one person ever got back to me!
Ok functionality but deliberately misleading
The app is functional enough, but is missing a lot of natural intuitive features, like sorting your messages in terms of ‘newest’ first, a feature which is reset every time you open the app. The most disappoint thing is the fact that there are a couple of misleading features: where you’d expect an easy way to pause or deactivate the ad, instead you have in bold letters ‘Sofort löschen‘ which of course is a massive deterrent - deliberately worded like that. To find the ‘pause feature’ you need to dig deeper and with way more clicks. And, in order to cancel the subscription altogether, the feature is hidden even deeper in the settings, also - deliberately. Pricing is very expensive, charging 59€ for 2 week regular listing. All in all, ok, because there isn’t really another alternatives. But no match for UK or Dutch based apps.
Mixed Feelings
The app mostly functions how it should (great UI, quite stable), but it’s missing a few useful options, such as being able to search by travel time to work (there’s an option to calculate it in an individual ad, but I want to search using that criterion). Also, many renters just completely ignore the search criteria. You often have to manually wade through dozens of ads which specific list what you DIDN’T search for, because they’re not properly tagged. Search for no shared accommodation? Doesn’t matter, you’ll have to go through plenty of posts for WGs. Plus there’s no way to filter out student-only accommodation, so that’s another thing I have to do manually. The company in general needs to get tougher on renters. The rental markets in big German cities is awful - the majority of times I have never received a reply from a landlord, but worse I sometimes get automated messages telling me to go and register on the landlord’s website and to sign up to their email newsletter etc.! So what’s the point of using ImmoScout if 90% of the time I never get an actionable response?
Do not subscribe to plus
They will pretend you are only paying for 3 months and then keep charging you even afterwards.
Great and easy to navigate
I love this app because it makes looking for an apartment so easy; map view or list, lots of definable search criteria, no fuss. Only thing missing is that I can't specify if a place accepts Pets or not.

Somewhat clunky and missing useful functionality
This app does what it says on the tin. However, it is not bug free and misses a few functions that would improve it significantly. * Message communications within the app are clunky. Don’t expect to be able to switch focus to, say, your calendar while drafting a response without loosing your entire draft. You effectively need to work in parallel on two devices to do this. (The website is better, but then again, it prompts you for login codes.) * A feedback to the developer function is missing. I would have happily provided the above. * If you have several searches active - your results are presented without reference to which search produced the hit.
No Response from Agents as a Premium Member
1. Agents or Private Advertisers should not be allowed to register without a phone contact number 2. As a premium member I have sent so many messages to numerous agents for apartments and they do not respond... what am I getting for this premium service? 3. Eventually after numerous messages to agents, they message back to say the apartment is no longer available!! Yet the apartment is still being advertised!
Poorly designed, difficult to navigate, not optimised for English
A terrible, terrible app. Signing up for the premium service was awful, I don’t think it is supposed to be a scam, but the English language version is so badly designed that effectively scam you off your money. I’m not even sure I can cancel the recurring payment. I may have to cancel my card altogether. Stay away.
Only one thing missing!
I am actively using the app and from my perspective, the only thing missing is a selection option for pets (Haustiere). If you have a pet and are looking for a place that accepts pets, you must open every single item to find if they accept pets or not. A bit of a pain! Otherwise a very good app!
Too many issues
The app is ok but for the brutal price they ask for a plus membership, there are simply to many errors. One is that I can’t save my searches and I can’t reply to messages. Fix please

Almost a scam, would give 0 stars
The app works decent. But the immoscout service provides almost nothing, for so much money. They are quick to get your bank details but once you’ve paid you don’t really receive much. I feel like immoscout preys on people desperate to find somewhere but for me this app was completely useless. I don’t normally write reviews but immoscout is really garbage. 0 stars

Was great, now rubbish
This was previously one of the best apps for German property. However, now the app is demanding an update which is not compatible with my older device. Unless I update which is impossible it now won’t let me sign-in, so it’s impossible to save any favourite properties. Was great, now crap!

Huge 130 euro fine for cancelling subscription
I stopped using ImmoScout about 2 months ago and had previously signed up for a subscription. I received a letter to my address from a LAWYER that demanded I pay 130€ (that’s a fine of 80€ on top of the 50€ I apparently owed them). This came as a result of cancelling my subscription accidentally by changing the App Store region. I received no emails from them complaining about the “missing” payments, aside from this letter. And of course.. their “24 hour helpline” doesn’t work on the weekends.
It does what it says on the tin.
Has some flaws, can't delete previous searches for eg.
Great site
Looking for property in a Germany was a pain, until I found these guys. I would suggest have an area for floor plans. In the U.K. Every house on right move shows a floor plan. Not site's fault agents need to wise up.
Google translation option missing now
I loved the app but the google translation option button is gone now with a new version. Very sad.

Scammers operate on this app to be careful
We recently applied for a house for rent but it was a scam. They now have access to a lot of our sensitive information. Be highly careful which properties you apply for- if they seem a bit low in rent than it’s a good sign that it might not be authentic.
