Trash app for int'l visitors
The app won't work for anyone who doesn't have a German mobile phone number. Registration proved impossible without a German phone number. Not even providing a dummy stand-in number worked. Completely unable to register and use it as a tourist. Please fix so tourists and other international visitors can use it.

App ist gut, Rest nicht
Die App ist eigentlich ganz gut, wenn sich die Fahrer auch an ihre Zeiten halten würden. Oft fährt der Bus gerne mal 5min früher ab, als angegeben oder die Zeit stimmt nicht. Ansonsten eine gutgestaltete App. Ich würde mir einen Melde Knopf wünschen, um auf falsche Zeit hinweisen zu können.
Very functional app!
Easy purchase of tickets and great travel planner spanning all modes of travel. Very up to date regarding delays and cancellations. Map view helps ID bus stations.
Update, not upgrade
The app went from great to disaster. Requiring a separate registration for the Hande Whatever (which is far from an easy process) instead of sticking with the old RMV login makes the app pathetic. Add on its inability to put multiple buses together to get a comprehensive route and the app is just taking up space. It is a shadow of its former glory. The only bus ticket I buy is the Deutschland Ticket, which is direct debited thru the DB app. Give the bus riders of Wiesbaden their former, well-functioning app.

Dass man in der App die genaue Zieladresse eingeben muss, ist echt absurd. Der Startpunkt reicht völlig aus, um Rückfahrten auszuschließen – Städte wie Berlin machen das schließlich auch schon.

bei genauer Verbindungsangabe wird eine anderer Station angezeigt, als gefordert: Soll: Ffm Kirchplatz- Konstablerwache-Dudenhofen Ist: Ffm Kirchplatz-Hauptwache-Dudenhofen Bei Überwachungsmeldungen am Sperrbildschirm gibt es keine Erklärungen in der App nach Öffnen der Meldung, total verwirrend!!

Erneutes Problem mit dem Login in der RMVgo-App
ich kann mich weiterhin nicht in der RMVgo-App anmelden. Ich hatte mich bereits per E-Mail an Sie gewandt, jedoch besteht das Problem leider immer noch. Über die Internetseite kann ich mich mit meinen Zugangsdaten problemlos anmelden. Allerdings schlägt die Registrierung bzw. Hinterlegung des SEPA-Verfahrens weiterhin fehl. Daher kann ich die RMVgo-App nach wie vor nicht nutzen bzw. mich dort nicht anmelden. Ich bitte Sie, mein Konto und die technischen Einstellungen zu überprüfen und das Problem schnellstmöglich zu beheben.

The app won’t tell you when a bus is cancelled, it just pretends it is perfectly on time. Also, it will often say there was an error with the payment process and you won’t be able to purchase your ticket. Unfixed for two years now…

Constantly have to re input information and can’t purchase tickets early. Have to wait until just before the bus arrives. Doesn’t allow for planning trips a day or evens hours ahead.

Unreliable
Claimed bus strike wouldn’t affect my line, left me stranded at midnight. Update: They also randomly cancelled my db ticket this month without me realizing, saying I agreed to it when I have literally done nothing. So I just had a real fun conversation with the train inspectors when I found out I didn’t have a valid ticket. And now I can’t even resubscribe as the app tells me I’m already subscribed.
Crashed
The app used to be good. Now it hangs, nothing much happens, I’ve no idea how best to travel around. It’s been weeks. Please fix… Thanks RMV for answering my emails and fixing the problem. Full functionality again. The app is excellent again.
Good e-ticket
It let me purchase my ticket and show proof to all train conductors and bus drivers. Unfortunately it doesn’t compete with Google Maps for selecting route combinations and step by step stops and changes along the way. RMV app said there was no way home for 12 hours, but Google Maps gave me a route that took me home on all RMV trains and buses in just 2 hours. Nice that it covers so many carriers. Please keep improving this app. Test it. Use RMV, then Google Maps, then DB, etc.
US Mobile Numbers don’t work
I’ve tried every phone number combination so that I can sign into the app. What do you do when it won’t let you use your own phone number regardless less of country code(s)? Please fix this or add the correct app directions for entering the number.

I’ve used it many time for planning and buying tkts. It has always been accurate.
Location doesn’t work
After this update, the location in “start” and “destination” doesn’t like before. It used to detect where I am automatically. Now I have to tap thousand times or put the address manually.
Mostly great, a few hassles
It’s great that most of the app is converted into my selected language. Unfortunately the 10% that’s still in German is…any and all important notices. When my account and method of payment are set up, it’s fairly convenient to buy a ticket as I board a train. But it requires navigating through about five pages when it should be no more than two. And if there’s any problem with the account or payment method, straightening it out requires far too much hassle. One payment was declined when my credit card expired, so my account was locked even after I updated the credit card info - I had to wire money to RMV’s bank account! Why didn’t they just run the charge again using my new credit card info? Just one example of a well-intended but still juvenile young app. You’ve come a long way. Keep improving it!
Partially translated and unclear
As a tourist, I was happy to see the App was translated until I realized they essentially only the titles and headers were done; the content, details, descriptions of ticket types are only in German. Also, when buying on the terminals in station, you don’t need to specify origin / destination (which is very hard to deduce to/from airport) but this app makes it mandatory. Very very strange…
Not bad, but kind of clunky
This app works most of the time, kind of - it’s not especially intuitive or smooth, but I definitely appreciate that it’s available in English!

Ticket inspection? Too bad the app silently locked you out.
1. Randomly logs users out in the background, leaving them struggling to remember their login info when inspectors come to check your ticket. 2. Deutschland ticket will still charge you for the following month even if you cancel your subscription up to a half month in advance of the next billing period.

Falsche Uhrzeit
Mir werden immer bahnen angezeigt die stunden vorher sind. Zum Beispiel ich sag ich muss um 12 ankommen und es werden mir bahnen die um 10 uhr sind angezeigt.

Huge improvement over the old app. Today the real time info for busses in Bad Soden was also working.

Error messages
The updated app constantly gives me an error message that my account is not active when I try to purchase tickets. I’ve double checked everything online and it is all active. Then miracle of miracles it started working again for about 2 weeks. Now I’m back to error messages and unable to purchase tickets. I’ve tried deleting the app, changing my payment methods, and restarting my phone. Nothing works.

Glitchy app
I used the app on April 29 2024 to purchase a Deutschland ticket for May 2024. The purchase process defaulted to the ticket for May but it issued me a ticket for April! Then a day later it issued me the ticket for May and I now have two charges for 49 Euro on my credit card. I contacted support and am waiting for a response but buyers beware.
Difficult to navigate
I dislike it so much, not user friendly. I just want to know which stops a certain line takes and have no idea how to do this. Disheartening

Unreliable
Frequently gives you incorrect departure information, logs you out and/or fails to load your ticket. No surprises, as RMV is the most unreliable train operator I’ve experienced in my life. I’d recommend using paper tickets instead, but the machines can also be unintuitive or confusing (sometimes stations have different names in the app/google maps/ticket machine), or even broken, and I’ve seen a ticket hawk burn someone for having an incorrect ticket when they asked a local for help and thought they purchased the correct ticket. So good luck!
