Perfekt für mich
Ich nutze es wirklich immer wieder jetzt schon seit Jahren und es hilft mir, vor allem, wenn ich etwas schwere Einkäufe habe. Der Gepäckträger ist top!
Argh
What a horrible first time experience. Here I stand for 10 minutes trying to set up a login, get a text password and on and on. No Apple Pay? Ok fine. But then there is no way to use iPhone’s system wide automatic system to enter my credit card information. So I have to go in and copy and paste. We are in 2026 now, auto-credit card is table stakes. Then, your password does not automatically get saved. Verify by text. Etc etc etc. I don’t know how easy this all is to write an app for, but it can’t be that hard, everybody else can do it. Reporting a unwelcoming tourist experience from Frankfurt here.
Great concept but terrible registration process
I have given up after one hour. First i couldn’t select a credit card, but it turned out Safari “advanced privacy protections” blocked that part of the site. Then i finally completed the setup but now i stranded in step 4. I just don’t receive the verification sms. UPDATE: After trying one final time with a different phone I finally could finish the registration process. I then logged back in on my iPhone and then fortunately the app and the bicycles work fine! So please, DB, fix the registration process issues because i don’t think many people are willing to spent 2 hours of their lives and 10 retries to unlock a bike.
Wasn’t able to get past the registration
i have no idea if there is a great service or not, but the registration sms didn’t come even after a couple of attempts to create an account. there is no option to send a code via email nor option to resend a verification code. when created an account without confirmation there is no option to try verification again which leads to creation of new account :(
Issue lock system
The gps system does not work very well. The app does not recognize the location of the bike when dropping off and I get message that the bike is in the wrong place when it is not.
Works well - impressed
The App works well with a UK mobile number (just enter 0044 as the international dialling code). Very easy to use, bike availability updates instantly, overall a very good user experience.

Solid app
After a few months use, and having left the insecure signup process behind, I’m a lot happier with this app. It now seems to work very smoothly and quickly. Having “map” and “list” views makes finding and reserving bikes very convenient. Getting billed monthly for my hires is a nice approach, and better than having to always top-up the account. It also seems to be significantly cheaper than some of the competition.
Schlechte App
Richtig schlechte App für iOS. Ewige Ladezeiten bis überhaupt nichts mehr geht. Customer Journey durchgefallen. Android läuft flüssig.
Please english version
I get around fine for basic spotting of bikes and renting. But when reporting an issue it would be really helpful to have it in English.
Great service, great app !
I just sat down at a bicycle station, downloaded the app, topped in my credentials, and grabbed a bike ! And another one for my partner. And it's a very good bike, at € 15 a day: 2 handbrakes, 7 gears, easy adjustable saddle, a tad fatter tires, just what we were looking for. You need to get used to the lock, but it's actually so much easier (with key code) than using a chain with some rusty pad lock... And the app also deserves much of the credit. It's easy, clear and very attentive. This is the Uber of the bike rentals 😄
Garbage app, does not work at all
From registration to unlock, nothing works right. The SMS verification code never came for me or my partner when signing up, but the app allows entering credit card and login. Fine. Go to scan and unlock bikes, unlock doesn’t work for any of them. Don’t even bother. The other city bike rentals work fine, but it’s a shame because the bikes for this app are a bit nicer.
Bad customer service
Credit card payment does nog work account blocked without previous warning left my in the middle of Berlin with a bike I couldn’t use. Customer service is very uncommunicative and unwilling to look for a solution.

Not so much English in here. The process is fairly straightforward, but, if anything goes pear-shaped you might be out of luck at the rental spot, while the meter is running.
Genial einfach
Ich reise viel, aber dies ist mit Abstand das einfachste System, ein Rad auszuleihen. Konto war in weniger als 5 min eingerichtet, und dann kannste Gleich los legen. Bin begeistert!
The app doesn’t control the bike well
It is very handy how the app will show you where bikes are located, and the unlock feature works fine; however, the pause and lock features don’t work - on a 3 hour trip I couldn’t unlock once and couldn’t re-lock twice. Despite help from customer service, I was still charged multiple fees for associated with these problems, so the rental cost was more than twice what it should have been, and they won’t refund the extra fees. There are many rental bikes in Munich - I suggest you try to find a brand with better reviews!

Decent app… unusable new system
The app is fine, works well, and does what it's supposed to. The system of picking up and dropping off a bike on any street corner within the S-Bahn ring was fantastic — I used it all the time. Then a few years ago, they changed it to where you are only allowed to take and leave the bikes at one of the limited number of Call-A-Bike stations throughout Berlin. None of the stations are convenient to where I live or where I'm going, and they are often empty (meaning no pick up) or completely full (meaning ride to another station to drop off). I've stopped using the system after the change.

I don't see why not everybody in Germany uses this.

There are several options on how to rent bikes. Choose the other options.
I tried to rent a bike for a one time use. The bikes were not where they were indicated on the map and I never took a ride. I was then charged monthly even though I was only in Germany for a couple of weeks. I had to cancel my credit card or call my bank to reverse the charges every month. Now they are threatening “further measures“. There was no customer service to try to fix this so my only conclusion is that this is a scam or a very poorly run company.
bad registration process
the vérification code for the Phone does not properly work in this case you have to re enter all your details another time, very frustrating the registration UX is bad
Do not use!!!!!!!!! Can’t stress that enough
Unreliable app and support team. Went to visit the Olympic Center and my bike would not unlock because the app didn’t register I had a booking (even though I had just used the bike to get there). I had to walk a very far distance to my hotel. They do not have a support team you can contact.
Idee gut - Umsetzung von der DB sollte besser sein
App stürzt häufig ab. Es werden in München Fahrräder von bmw angezeigt, die nicht ausgeliehen werden können. Auf der App ist kein Hinweis, dass es sich um BMW Räder hält. Standorte oft falsch.
Be careful Call A Bike hardly works and overcharges
The pause didn’t work so I was charged 10Euro since the bike had been parked outside of a station area. I tried to rent a few more bikes later in the day and the app failed each time - not consistent. Today (2weeks later), I received a 90Euro bill and I haven’t been in Berlin or Germany for 10days, apparently the meter was still running. Denying them via my credit card and will seek a correction on my account. Horrible experience for something that should be simple and enjoyable. Great idea, epic fail on execution and technology.
Früher besser
Früher war der Service deutlich besser. Heute werden immer häufiger Räder angezeigt, die dann nicht vorhanden sind!
Such a scam! Paid over 30 euros for 4 hours!
The app is a completely fail! I took the bike to go around Berlin and every time i tried to pause it was finishing our ride and charging for being out of the zone! Ended paying more than 30 euros in four hours, and the bike was returned in the same place it started in front of check point Charlie.

Sadly it doesn't have English or any other language for tourists visiting and wanting to use a bike
Beware of an surprise annual contract
The app is not designed well when it comes to renting or setting up an account. I accidentally became signed up for an annual contract and the support staff had no interest in helping out and were very unsympathetic. So user beware!
