Love this!
I love this app. A while back I downloaded and did pay for the paid version. Best decision I have ever made. So easy to collect recipes online and plan my week out.
Just let me use the app
If I want to rate you, I will.
Good not great
I like the app a lot and think it’s very good however, I wish it had a feature where you could snip recipes from YouTube, Facebook and other social platforms and easily upload them into the app. There are other meal planning apps that have this feature, but I’ve already invested a lot of time in this one. Please add this feature soon. Thank you.
Data export is needed
To enable user to enjoy the power of LLM on the data within MealBoard, a basic data export in CSV gives peace and ability to get more out of MealBoard. Please consider this. Thank you
Lost All prices in pantry
Have used MealBoard for a very long time, constantly updating prices and adding hundreds of items. The last update from 5 days ago I think wiped every item price back to $0.00. 🫤
Ty for this app❤️
I downloaded this app to get away from all the ads from recipe websites. I’ve had this app for a year now and I still use it all the time. I’m really happy that they added a feature to import recipes from photos and tiktok videos because that was something that I was wanting😂.
Log in limitations
I absolutely love this app. It is better than all of the other meal planning apps i have used. My only issue is that you have to use your apple ID to log in as opposed to a regular account login. This means that my partner can’t log in and see what meals i’ve planned on his phone. I wish the developers would fix this
Doesn’t work as it should
I downloaded this after reading reviews that ticked all the boxes. Unfortunately the app doesn’t sync the ingredients like it says it should so if I add the same recipe to my meal plan twice it doesn’t correlate the ingredients on the shopping like - meaning I’ll have the same ingredient listed several times. I tried to contact support about this but got no response whatsoever. Not sure if that’s just a premium feature but I don’t want to upgrade to premium until I know for sure it’ll work.
Easy to use
However, it’s not very intuitive. It was recommended as an app that you could load your pantry items and it would generate recipes based on those. Granted, I’m using the starter version with only 7 recipes loaded, but they all show even though they contain items not on my list.
Lifesaver
I don’t mind cooking, I even enjoy it, but I hate grocery shopping, coming up with a list of what to buy, figuring out what to make… This app streamlines all of that. I create custom categories that make sense to me for recipes I love. I can add recipes to each day for different meals, and sometimes I do. I love that I have access to this feature. Best of all, you can add the ingredients for each recipe to a grocery list, uncheck anything you have on hand, and it tells you how much to buy based on the recipes you plan to make so you don’t buy too much/too little. I did add everything in my pantry when I first got the app but for me it’s a lot to maintain. Again, love that the feature exists, it’s great for things I use occasionally to track what I have left, just not for tracking items in heavy rotation.
Limited Canadian items recognized with scan
The scan function is what I want. But I’ve scanned 10+ items and they either come up ‘unrecognized barcode’ or a different item. Eg., tomato sauce comes up as a leather belt. Any chance Canadian upc codes coming soon?…
Love it with one exception
I absolutely love this app and the one exception only would be for more flexibility in using it on my PC. I would like to be able to take a screenshot from a recipe online and also take advantage of the same AI recipe scanning facilities. However, I realise this is a big ask and therefore 10 to need to use a combination of my phone, iPad and PC (which is much easier to type in).
could be easier/better
We should be able to zoom in and out or just be able to edit the size of the calendar Also super annoying when you’re editing one meal item of one day and it automatically changes lots of previous meals there should be a “dessert” option
Glitchy
Really love this app but after a while it stopped accepting quantities in the pantry section. So just says "1 in stock" whereas others say "500g in stock" which is what I want. Shame. Such promise.
One of the BEST apps
It has exactly what I need for grocery planning and shopping and no extra stuff to get in the way.
To American
Allow other measurements and ability to set default to kgs
Worked it out
I upgraded and is working fine now able to sync to iPad
Misleading regarding sharing and device syncing
I chose to purchase the paid version of this app based on the stated feature that you could sync across devices. However this is not possible, I contacted support and they suggested that I start a family sharing account on iPhone. This didn’t work. Very disappointed
Useful
It’s really good app for organising meals. It even has additional features on it that makes it much easier to manage meal plans as well as putting together shopping list. I’m still getting the hang of the app but so far it’s been good
Can’t live without!
I’ve been using this for a few years , and I realized I’ve never left a review ! This app has helped me in so many ways / and I don’t even use all the things available! I literally can’t tell you - how much I love and use this app!! My family is grateful too, bc I have found some of their favorite recipes . This takes a lot of the stress out cooking .. and planning ahead! Thank you MEALBOARD
Great for categorising my recipes.
Just beaut & easy to do, plan.
Cannot add new stores
App seems to have promise but at the moment it just crashes when you try to add a new store. Please Fix!
Ok so far
Looks decent so far. I’ll see how it goes. One feature I def need is changing the entire app settings to g/kg/mL/L etc. I have no idea how many lb of pasta I have
Been using for years
Does what I need. Use it weekly!
Great app with one problem
Amazing app that is incredibly useful. However, there's an issue with one of its main features that makes it useful. The feature that tracks when I last used a recipe is broken. Currently I have a recipe that I used last 2 weeks ago and it says that I last used it a month ago. This is an excellent feature that keeps me from making an item too often, but it's not particularly useful if it doesn't work properly. I'd absolutely change this review to a 5 stars if this was fixed.
Helpful but need improvement
I like that I can see the meal planning in my calendar every day so we know what we have to prepare for that day. I hope that they fix the constant crashes when I’m putting the meals in the apps calendar. Also will be nice to have the opportunity to change a meal from one date to another easy.
So worth it!
I use this app several times a week. Saving and finding recipes is extremely easy. It accurately recognizes online recipes from almost any website to save them and gives you options to add them manually by typing or copy/pasting or to giving you tools to help recognize the parts of the few online recipes it can’t automatically process. I can plan and schedule my meals using the recipe. It even gives me a shopping list sorted by the isle for the recipes I schedule. I love this app!!
Helpful app for meal prep and make
This app has been helpful in getting recipes and importing them.
Good app but problem with categories
Very nice app. Needs an initial time investment to set up but well worth it and provides helpful meal planning automation. What it doesn’t do is give you recipe suggestions based on the ingredients you have at home. I noticed a problem where changes made to categories in the settings section (adding, editing or resorting) are not visible in the recipe list view. They’re selectable when adding a new recipe or re-categorising a recipe, but when you want to plan your meals, not all of the new or changed categories are visible. It’s possible there is a category limit in meal plan drop down and recipe view. Would be great if that could be fixed as I now can’t select some meals because they’ve been allocated to categories I can’t see in the meal planner. Otherwise, really nice.
Must Have
I never write reviews but I absolutely adore MealBoard! They added a feature that you can now import recipes right from your social media so no more recipes stuck in your save tab :) No more “jump to recipe” after reading an entire life story before making a lasagna—Mealboard’s webpage import makes it incredibly simple to save all your favorite recipes. As a mom of five, this app is my number one tip for keeping my brain organized for making food for my family! Thanks for such an amazing product at a great price.
All it’s missing is integration with Google/Siri/Alexa
It has all the features I have been looking for: meal planning, grocery lists, customizable aisles based on stores, prices, etc. The only thing it is missing is integration with Smart Home devices such as Google Assistant, Siri or Alexa. I’m hoping to see that happen.
Has potential
I am liking this app so far. However with a few tweaks I think it would be better. For instance, if when adding items to my pantry, if there was an automatic capitalisation of words, that would be much better. I also would like to be able to choose for quick add items in my meal plan to not automatically go into my pantry or my recipes. Other than that, I am well pleased I have chosen to use this app. It makes my life and my shopping, planning etc much easier.
Amazing Recipe & Meal Planning App!
I’ve been using this for years and it’s better than anything else I’ve seen. I love it for storing recipes and for making meal plans. The pantry management feature is a bit overwhelming so I don’t use it. I’ve referred many people to it and I share recipes from it regularly! Great app!
Great app
It would be great to have more options, that are available on the app, on the website version.
Excellent app!
I've been using this app for many years now and still love it! Very helpful and easy to use! I LOVE the import features and how easy it is to share recipes. This is a must have app for me! July'26 update: Still great and still using it, year after year!!
Great way to organise my recipes
I've been using MealBoard for a few years now and it just keeps on improving with every update. Great for importing recipes from the internet. This app makes meal planning so easy.
