New Update
After listening to LBC for 10 years, I’ve decided to delete this app after this new change. You clearly are only interested in pushing monetised subscriptions now. This update has messed up my library to the point where I can’t tell which episode is which so I have to keep going to schedule and catch up. I loved LBC and I get you need to make money but geez! I’ll check occasionally to see if you changed it to a more usable format.
Almost perfect app.
Love LBC, and the app is pretty good. But I would really like the option to keep Breaking News notifications while turning off notifications about shows… like ‘whatever politician is currently appearing on air’. Interviews with politicians are a pretty big turn-off for me. If any of them ever actually answered a question it might help; but that’s out of LBC’s control.
Embarrassing
App crashes too easily. When I’m listening to something live and if I wish to go back a few minutes to listen, the app will invariably crash Doesn’t download enough of a show if you are live but not live
Annoying Repetitive Adverts. Overwhelming layout
The adverts are very repetitive and really annoying to hear the same ad over and over and over again. Geolocation doesn’t always work, so I get ‘personalised’ ads aimed at a completely different part of the country. Luckily we can skip forward 30s to get past the awful repetitive adverts. They are like torture. It is possible to filter news topics, but it’s still very overwhelming. I thought this would be easier to listen to LBC than the Global Player app, but there are many steps to find catch-up and then you have to scroll through all the other stations to get to LBC. Catch-up fails to resume if you pause it too long.

O’Bore’s ego is too much
The guy is absolutely obsessed with the same topics all the time, every day. Brexit, Trump, Reform, Tories. Surely a presenter that appeals to the other half of the population and not just left wingers would be more appropriate.

Always great coverage of daily issues - Iain Dale is the best Tory presenter but assesses all parties fairly (I’m a socialist but I respect him). Love Nick Ferrari again he digs into a range of social issues and is lovely to his guests. Thank God for LBC😀
Better elsewhere.
Didn’t last 5 minutes. I wanted to search for news about grok and the bikini scandal. Results were terrible. A written article yes. But no video results. And when I did find something it had a 30 second advert. Deleted straight away. Much better to watch clips on X.

Poor alternative to Global Player
Downloaded after urging from rodeo hosts to go with the new LBC app over the Global player. Lasted 2 days before I deleted and moved back to Global. LBC app is buggy, has frequent issues with catch up leaving no option but to switch back to live missing parts of the show. Also seems to have a difficult to close pop up when opening app. Poor.
Unusable
I get 2 minute bursts every 60 seconds on 5 G on WiFi it’s slightly better it clearly needs a better cache! It’s either the app or EE!

6.39 and I woke to a presenter talking about Nigel Farage, what he said in the playground 49 years ago, only those that dislike Farage will find this ‘interesting’ how low can LBC go. No more early morning LBC, I will return at 7am when Nick presents, and if he is on the same subject, Goodbye LBC
Slow podcast lists
The app handles streaming and rewinding perfectly fine, but when looking at a podcast, loading the list of past episodes is painfully slow on even relatively new devices. It needs to enable some kind of pagination mechanism, maybe loading 50 at a time or something. It seems to be attempting to load every episode of whatever podcast you’re browsing, which will get slower over time. I knocked off a star for that.

On the whole LBC is the tops in broadcasting impartial views from a wide spectrum of presenters from the likes of Ian Dale, Tom Swarbrick and recently Louis Goodall I find particularly entertaining. This is combined with a more light hearted evening / early morning slot filled by the legend that is Nick Abbott usually followed by another legend Clive Bull and an up and coming legend Ian Paine . Nick Ferrari starts the day with his right leaning yet professionally journalistic account of current events , but then I find the more popular elements of the day a little too propagandist especially James O’Brien who sets his own agenda and blocks anyone questioning him by either making them look a fool or , if that fails , talks over them and confuses them with further questions , or if he knows he is beaten , just cuts them off . I’d like to see him in a debate where he doesn’t control the microphone . I used to really like Sheila Fogarty who follows at 1pm but recently she’s started making glib comments about men which, if were made about women by a male presenter would probably result in disciplinary . Saying that she’s a very good presenter , she just needs to be more balanced in her approach . On the whole though as long as the presenter tries to provide a fair balance between left and right wing views I’m happy and I’m happy with LBC more than not ! Paula in Twickenham

LBC can be counted on for representing a cross section of societal and political viewpoints. Great significant guests such as politicians, mayors, journalists, authors. Just a brilliant radio station. Been listening in particular to James O’Brien for almost 20 years. Keep up the good work
Used to be good
LBC used to be a great station but now just a far left radio station with some awful presenters, I now listen to Talk

I absolutely love listening to LBC as there is proper balance and the presenters (right now, most of them) are level headed...you get to hear everything from left and everything from right...I lived in London, moved to the US couple years back and was enjoying the app BUT IT HAS STOPPED WORKING on my iPhone for some reason. I can play Spotify, YouTube and any other radio but when I try n launch LBC, I get “Not currently available”... I tried deleting and reinstalling already.. worked fine on my Android 😩someone please sort this out
Broken App
A heads up to others: using this app constantly causes my iPhone to lock up and soft reboot. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it a number of times and it’s the same issue. The content of the app is good, but it ain’t worth having the phone grind to a halt and reboot a few times per day.
Not as good as BBC Sounds
For nationality is wall short of what it should be be Why not have a simple Easy to find live section BBC Sounds should be their role model

Crashes
I love LBC but unfortunately the app crashes every time after a few minutes of listening. It’s up to date, I’ve tried uninstalling etc but nothing works.
Can’t update
Great app until the last update. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app and it’s now inaccessible. Is there another update in the works?
App worse than old Podcast app
I used to subscribe and pay for LBC Podcasts. Although the app had a few annoying glitches (such as not always picking up where you left off), you could at least listen ‘on demand’ with no adverts. With this new LBC approach, everyone can get LBC podcasts without paying. However, you now hear the entire show, including every ad break. As I live overseas they are not relevant to me so every 10 minutes I have to forward through the ads! To add insult to injury, they have also now started an overlay of video ads randomly when you open the app. LBC - please give listeners the option of paying monthly again for podcasts with no adverts. I’d happily pay again for this if I had the choice.

I can’t even use this app as I’m a blind person who needs to type in my email address and password which it doesn’t tell me what I’m typing in. What a disgusting app by a disgusting app developer that doesn’t care for the disabled person. Why do you need my email address why don’t you dedicated to the two stations that it’s meant to be

Not what I thought. I've been looking for a way to listen to full episodes of LBC's Maajid Nawaz. As soon as you open the app the news begins and I was unable to turn it off, until I just had to close the app. Admittedly I did not spend enough time exploring the app because I was in public and could not get the news to stop playing. Deleted.
Love the content, the app is buggy
I love being able to download and listen to James O’brien. The app has been buggy for me though. It crashes often, very much so when on a bad connection or offline, even when listening to downloaded content. Logs seem to show network issues that are throwing exceptions. When stabilized this will be fantastic. Best of luck! I know iOS 13 got tricky..... and hopefully 13.3 won’t be as aggressive.

Adverts on kids killing kids
Honestly this app is rank, just been shown an ad on a video of a kid before he was stabbed, profiteering off of misery, the apps janky, it never saves how much you’ve listened to on catch up so every time i open the app i have to find what minute i’ve listened to, half the time the rewind and pause doesn’t work out of app, the catch up section is just slow to listen find whatever catch up you want to listen to, it’s takes them sometimes hours to put up the latest downloads for catch up, constant spelling and grammar mistakes on nearly every article and don’t get me started on the constant immigration and click bait headlines, honestly a joke of an app, update, just had another advert on a video of a gunman on a motorcycle opening fire on 2 and a child, really well done lbc 👍🏻
Something Wrong
I loved the app until a week ago when it stopped fully working with the new features. Sometimes I don’t see the photos of the presenters. And I no longer can get the replay of missed scheduled programs. But, when it is working correctly I love it.

Love this station but the app is really frustrating. It seems to work fine and then for no reason it just drops connection. Please sort this out.
Won’t let me re-download podcast
On the weekends I download Maajid Nawaz’s show so I can listen to it at work during the week. He had podcast during this week which failed to download and there is now way to try and download them again!! I deleted the show thinking I could do it that way but no such luck. I tried everything to no avail 😓.

Some shows don’t even get uploaded as podcasts any more. ‘Radio’ shows glitch and don’t reappear when you delete and try to re download. If Nick Abbot was available anywhere else I’d never touch this app ever again.

Why does the App cut out?
Very annoying- you listen to replays or delayed live radio and after an 1hr, the app just freezes and cuts out. I have to remove app and re load to begin listening again. WHY????
Good app!
I'm glad London's Heart has a way to listen to it on iPhones & iPods. Like others say, it's a pitty the app can't be kept running while in the background but still, it suffices my needs. The only other problem I see is it stops streaming frequently although it could be due to my connection.

Keep stalling/cutting out when trying to listen on mobile network. Can be very frustrating.
