Very good update
The update to the new home feed is lovely, and the new Live Events button is amazing, how did I live without it! Even the premium tab looks great and it’s nice to have a way to access all the premium articles in one place, although I can already customise that in My News. Great app, great news coverage, and the subscription ain’t half bad either 👍🏻

This app is not designed for a free subscription. It constantly throws you out of a free news article and constantly blocks further reading unless you want to subscribe to Premium. I am going to delete the app as there are other news outlets that is less frustrating then trying to read this app.

Wants you to subscribe
Having read the Express for years, imagine my disappointment with them making 2/3 of articles subscription only. On a pension this is not possible to pay. It is an ageist decision favouring only the young.
Comments accessibility ,
Not too sure if it’s me but I am finding it difficult to write a comment in this and the Mirror app ! I start writing my comment on a space at the bottom of my iPad then I can’t see every thing as my comments is still there but I can’t see it to check or to add and the only way to see it is to tap the arrow to post the comment. I’m sure in the passed we were able to see every word of our comments before we posted it but that seems to have disappeared. Anyone have a idea as to how I can see my comments in full before I post them ?
Great paper, first with the news
Exceptionally good for the news.
Dreadful
DE censors too many comments - even when factual. You cannot read full stories by the app. Better to just use the web version.
In tune
I read the Telegraph and the Express. In general, the Express is more in tune with my opinions. I believe it represents grassroots UK views. Since the referendum, it has sided with the democratic decision to leave the EU. Wise move. Other newspapers are equivocal; as duplicitous as the majority of MPs who presently disgrace both red and green benches in Parliament with their plans to undermine and sabotage the democratic decision to leave the EU. My compliments; keep it up, please. Kind regards, Roger Brady Voted Remain in 1975. Voted for Thatcher x 3. Changes to APP
Since the introduction of charging to read some articles and the restriction on the number of “free” articles you can read the APP has become pretty much a waste of time. Only worth it for the puzzles now.
Crossword
I love doing the various crosswords but cannot record my achievement! It will not let me onto the leaderboard even though my time usually exceeds those already recorded. It’s only a small moan but frustrating

Deleted after limited stories
This used to be my go to app for news and the comments were really interesting to read - but since they restricted the amount of stories you can read in the week and all the premium pay only stuff I have unfortunately deleted the app.
News I trust.
I have lived in Australia for more than 40 years but still need to know what is happening in the Old Dart. So I turn to the Express for all the political and general news. Wouldn’t trust any other news outlet.
Subscription only
Another band wagon jumper who now wants your money unlike before this app didn’t charge. Sorry but you’re about to be deleted
Crashes
Constantly crashes, freezes and jumps about the article. Sort it out.

Sort Order doesn’t work and the App. keeps crashing.
Good BUT…
…it keeps logging me out so I can’t make comments or vote on other people’s comments. I repeatedly have to go through the tedious process of logging back in!! It’s just happened yet again today. So tedious that I don’t think I’ll bother with it anymore.

It was free, now the DE uses every opportunity to rip you off with a subscription. But I’m not interested in paying! 😡
Deleted
So many times the headline of an article has nothing to do with its content. Innocent comments are often deleted for no apparent reason. About four in ten of the articles on the Top Stories page are about some new boring “relevation” on the UK royals.

The news items in The Express tend to be shallow, lacking depth and sensationalist
Ridiculous
Don’t bother, the express doesn’t allow free speech and doesn’t allow proper discussion or differing points of view. Just don’t waste your time.
Too many premium stories
This app now has too many premium stories to make it worthwhile. I’ve deleted and will look for my news elsewhere.
Frustrating app
I’m a paid up member and have updated the app but my comments keep being rejected as ‘failed to post app’. There are no bad words or aggressive comments but for some reason I’m not allowed an opinion - if it continues I’ll move to another publisher.

This used to be my go to app for daily news, but not anymore. Unless you’re willing to pay to read it’s no longer even worth having. Will be deleted.

I like the info but not app/privacy management. I’ve registered and saved preferences FOUR times…. Still not saved. When I try to log in again, it always says “unknown error”.

Since launch of premium you are restricted to reading just 20 articles a week unless you subscribe. Due to the low quality journalism i have deleted app
Login Daily Express News
I signed up so I can be a contributor earlier this year and recently went to login and was told an error occurred. No matter what I did I could not get into my account. So even though I know my password I clicked on “Forgot Your Password “ entered my email . Followed instructions opened email it claimed “You used facebook social media website to register.“ Well this is so unbelievably FALSE. I know for a fact I signed up using my email. I always use my iPhone address book under contacts to ‘forever ‘ save websites and passwords. Because it backs up to the cloud on iPhone. If you do it this way you never will lose or forget another password again. I have the website name and password in my contacts in my iPhone. So now I can’t use Daily Express anymore. Why continue if I can’t contribute, comment on stories or articles. Can anyone help me get back into my account. Also when you go to sign it didn’t give me the option to sign in using any social media website such as facebook. The only two options showing for me are sign in or register. Or sign in using apple. Which I will not use apple sign in for Daily Express News. Can anyone help, app developers?

I prefer the bbc or daily mail sites because they offer more sports info and articles

Only 20 free reads a week
I’ve removed the app due to the subscription service. It’s not all about the move to subscription though but more about the poor journalism and the blocking of non offensive type comments. After many years I just got fed up with it all.

Tool tips as advertisements are very annoying.
