Let me paint you a picture: I watch a full ad in this game to turn on “autobattle” for half an hour. I have a YouTube video playing with that picture-in-picture thing in the corner while I grind for money. To my surprise, the game continues showing me ads after almost every round and it pauses my video every time. I can barely get through ten seconds of it without an ad pausing it, and again, this is after I already watched a full ad. The really crazy thing is that the autobattle timer would CONTINUE TO GO DOWN WHILE I WAS STUCK IN THE ADS. Game-ruining experience.
Why I rated Medieval Defense 4 stars
I think that if the prices to upgrade your guys were lower it would be a 5 star

Was a fun game till wage 5. Can’t get past the add and it won’t let me go fatter.
Gameplay is neat, forced ads too frequent
I know that ads are necessary for developers to support the projects, but they were way too frequent for me - especially at the pace the game was moving at. I could make maybe one upgrade before being forced to watch an ad, usually more. There are other games that don’t have forced ads that are more intuitively fun in the same genre, so I’ll play those instead.

I have completed the game and don’t know what to do. I capped all islands and completed them. And I have no source of gems anymore. What to do next. Just play waves? ........Boringgg.........(-1 stars) Although game’s okay but could be finished in 3 weeks.

Pretty fun
Pretty fun until I got a bug where I could not conquer outpost 17 and wasted a ton of money trying. It kept saying I was victorious, then after the stupid ad, the outpost was unconquered. Other than that the game was fun until that point. Wish I could advance.

Glitching
I’ve sent the merchant ship out on 1 and 8 hour voyages only to come back with nothing as if I’ve never sent them. Same with conquering outposts. I’ll conquer an outpost, receive a diamond, then check the map and the outpost I just defeated still shows up as if I never captured it
CONTENT RECOMMENDATIONS
Ive just beat a little past wave 100 and I love the game so far. I love how there is a good lowed but good paced gameplay on how to get troops and farming for coins, ect. But as im looking at the game there isnt much exploration, such the map is cut in half then later on unlock it. But during the game there isnt much to progress through other than battle, upgrade troops and fight a lot of the same enemies. In my opinion something to add totbe game is sailing exploration meaning you send people out to find lands ans if they had already been conquered or if its free land to settle on, and if it is will it be suitable for a place so big. Ive played years ago in the past but never picked it up past wave 40, I think there should be mode troop variety aswell both enemy and our troops.

I have been playing for a while, but I wish there where more variety of soldiers to choose from because there’s only three ,regular militia, bowmen, and Calvary, but it would also be nice to where you could customize the look of the town, but anyways this game is a very fun game and I highly would recommended giving it a try.

Overall great I noticed some bug issues
1st bug is sometimes when I take over a village it will take my gold but it will not capture the town. (Noticed it before but just confirmed it on snowy island) 2nd is if I do not clear the app completely on my phone the bank will not work. It sucks when I leave work and I did not collect any gold after my 8 hour shift. Plz fix
Bank does not work.
The Bank says I should be getting 2194 gold per hour from the settlements. However, when I come back after an hour or more, there’s nothing at the bank. Over night (~8h) I would expect to find the max amount 17557 available for pickup, but there’s nothing. It appears to only work when the app is in the foreground, not while I’m in other apps of not using my phone. Also the button to watch an ad for 50% more gold never works, just says something like ad is loading, try again later.

Forced ads after every fight but they lock up the app and you’ll need to close and reopen.

Really solid game in some ways. I gotta say, I was really enjoying it until i went to a new island and had to start from scratch. I had focused on castle and military upgrades and those don’t transfer (only farm and bank). Kinda makes me wanna stop. I get having some sort of reset, but it’d be cooler if there was something more transferable or if you could return back to your old island or something. I love that it supports a single developer. Ad usage for free play isn’t bad either.

Long Levels
I like the game and the gameplay is really fun, but after level 150 the levels start lasting to longer and longer until the levels start becoming rather unpleasant to play. Levels start becoming two minutes, then four, then, six, then you will probably stop playing the levels all together. You don’t need to play the levels to get gold.
Dont get this game
Too many ads and micro transactions that are 'optional' but gems are required so much they basically are mandatory. Gameplay loop is repetitive and theres a lot of flaws. Mainly with the defend/invading part. To invade you need to spend basically all of your money. If it gave some money back or you could use your surviving troops in the next invasion itll be fine, but you lose them. The only way you get anything back from losing troops is if you lose and watch a long ad. Bad game, dont get/dont spend any money on
Fun but unreliable
A really fun game that I did enjoy, but unfortunately I discovered that if you minimise the game mid battle it seems to completely break it. The game won’t unfreeze, and after closing and re-opening it it simply gets stuck on the starting map loading screen. Overall really fun, just be careful of this as it ruined 2 play throughs of mine and that really stung

There’s a game in my ads
Pretty boring and simple game mechanics. Not the most polished game ever, I’ve had a few glitches where I wait for my 8hr voyage and never get any money. Other than that it’s pretty much and ad simulator. Every 30 seconds it feels there’s an ad for 5 seconds… Of course you can pay the $5 to get rid of ads but then all your left with is the same boring game mechanics over and over and over…. If you’re looking for the charm of a pixel game, look elsewhere because this game is more ads than pixel art.

Warning…this game is addictive & fun
After reading other reviews I decided to give the game a try. It is fundamentally simple & you have to figure things out as you go along. But it is a fun game. You’ll find yourself reluctant to put it down. I comment the designer for developing a really good game.
Ads crash game
Super frustrating after the battle you paid thousands of coins to do ads crash and it doesn't register the battle but charges you anyway. Also, trade ship disappears denying your rewards.

Lack of units
The game is good, however I’m sure you can add more units and add animals like the enemies have in the game, also you could add different factions like a Viking one- YOU NEED TO ADD NEW UNITS PLEASE this game will lose its life if it doesn’t have something new

I think this game is great for time killing & playing something simple that isn’t online with other people that is dictated by my time not other peoples time. I do wish there was a limit to the waves so that I could feel like I accomplished a goal. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong about that. Basically set amount of waves to conquer the island then have other islands to move to
