Fun challenge
This game is very challenging but learn from your mistakes and you will get further. Love this game because there is always something you have to managing. Just a great game that I love playing when I have a break in my day.
Bait & Switch
This would be a fun game, but the difficulty growth with each blood moon is clearly designed to make you buy the game. Ironically, I probably would have bought the game - but I don’t like being manipulated. I had a nice base going, easily destroying the zombies even on a blood moon and fully repairing my wall afterwards, with lots of buffer in my wall health. Then, suddenly, the difficulty spiked, and my wall was completely destroyed in seconds, without warning. No, I’m not going to pay you $0.99 to resume playing from this point, and no, I’m not paying $4.99 for the full game so I can change the difficulty. I can’t trust that the full game has any better difficulty scaling than this did. Consumers don’t like being tricked. You’d have a good game here, and it would sell if you were just patient.

Fun but sadly manipulative
The game is great and I have a lot of fun playing it but by the time you get to the third or fourth blood moon it becomes unplayable in the designed difficulty unless you choose to fully purchase the game
Balancing issues
The core concept of this game is certainly fun, and I like the simplicity of it. I do personally think, though, that the game certainly punishes you a bit too much for mistakes. you have to be perfect with your resources between days 20-35 (what I call the start of mid-game) otherwise you will likely die of starvation (this is around when your outpost gets to the size where hunting for deer is unreliable and you must rapidly switch to agriculture to survive). I also think that difficulty ramps up a bit too quickly with the zombies. I’m not saying to overhaul the entire blood moon system, but maybe make the individual zombie behavior a little less aggressive. Personally I think that making either the resource costs of base levels 4 and 5 slightly lower and/or making the lumberjacks and maybe the miners give a bit more of their respective resources would help the transition between early to mid game feel a bit less desperate as so many different demands clash against each other. Sorry for a whole essay.
Amazing game
Honestly one of the best games I’ve ever played, I’m 100% gonna buy the full version on steam so I can play more often. My only issues so far is just wishing the days were a bit longer. Also once you make it to base level 4 everything needs stone and the stone gathering is just annoyingly slow. No matter how much I upgrade them I just can’t gather enough to get all the upgrades done. And needing 1500 stone to upgrade the workbench to start making scrap is very frustrating. All together though, the game is amazing, and the major issue i have is just wishing the resources, gathering mechanics, and upgrade costs were more balanced.
Impossible to progress
I hoped this game would be fun but instead its stressful each time i even play it. The blood moons are way to much the zombies keep getting more harder to kill and it keeps costing me every single resource i have. The farthest i can even go is 35 days i cannot go any farther with how impossible it is to make stronger walls or defenses. This game is so whack and ridiculous if zombies gotta be near impossible to kill since the knife units only kill them one at a time instead of grouping up to take them down.

No longer supports Apple Pencil
I’ve loved this game for over a year but ever since the most recent update it no longer registers my Apple Pencil. My Apple Pencil works fine with everything else. Please fix this issue because I doubt I’m the only person who prefers to use an Apple Pencil instead of my fingers on the iPad.
Needs An Endless/Zen Mode
I really like the game but it’s SO STRESSFUL because it takes a long time to invest in a town and one bad five minutes to wipe it out. It needs an endless mode
Beta tester review
As an original beta / TestFlight tester, I’m proud to say I love this game. The test came out March 2023 and I tested June 27th and onward and I had LOADS of fun, just rediscovered this game 3 full years later and I am about to redownload after all these years. I can’t recommend this game enough for people who just want to pass time on a calm little mobile game. Happy to see you guys at top 100 on App Store in your category! Congrats to all the devs, all the other testers and everyone else that has and will enjoy this game!

Big issue
Great game but in my opinion it’s a huge bug that sometimes I won’t have any workers out even tho I have 50 assigned people and it’s daylight I’ve got to several points and my workers were gone and then the next day no food and lost 10 people right before blood moon
Why doesn’t it pause
This game’s pretty fun, gets repetitive though. My problem with the game is that when you open any menu it doesn’t pause the game, I opened the job menu and I didn’t notice it was night and died, lost a good 1 hour of work.
I enjoy playing this game
It’ll help you think about analogy towards managing things like if you manage things wrong you would fail and start over again or pay to continue, similarly to how life works, you can pause it and take a break and or think about what to optimize for in the village to protect it from decay from hunger, lighting, winter, “zombies” You can move forward with the current way in which you managed something or destroy the thing you payed to build and pay with resources for building something better that optimizes better than what was previously constructed. Don’t be afraid to work backwards.
Money grabbers
Is funny how they managed to take more money from people , for a free game , every time you lose you need to pay or to restart from zero , it was something if the game was 2-3 pounds , but cus the game is made to lose often , you won’t want to restart from zero so you pay , greedy , I paid a lot for a bad game , when I could buy a proper game , with one time payment and I could have more fun, don’t recommend it at all , greedy developers for a bad game

Great potential
This game has loads of potential to be really fun and addictive, but at it is at the moment it’s near impossible to survive the first winter. It’s not possible to level up to farm a good reserve of food before the winter, and the deer population in the forest depletes to the point where the people don’t survive and the walls fail because there aren’t enough of them. I cleared a new patch of land, thinking this would open up another 15 deer, but no, it was just more wall to defend and my people starved anyway. Tried a few times now with different methods, and it seems like it’s just not possible to make it through that winter. It’s a shame really, as this is the only thing that holds it back from being a 5 star game!
It’s decent
It’s a fun idea with great things to do, but there’s not much to do and every time you get anywhere you get killed and there’s no way to save yourself. It’s annoying getting to where you were and finally being able to get somewhere new and then getting destroyed by the blood moon or whatever it is, if there was a second chance besides paying to come back, it would be better
Hard but fun
I had to restart multiple times before getting the hang of the game. When I did get used to it, I survived a long time. I’m currently on day 206 as of writing this review. Those who said it scales too hard (on the free app) hasn’t played and learned about the game enough. To put it bluntly, as of this post, id say they had “skill issues” as the current game I’m playing has lasted 4 to 5 hours. Yes it was hard, but idk if i would say if the game is impossible yet. My goal is to get to day 300 or 500. If I manage to get there I’d set my goal to 1000. The most important thing in the early game is wood, and then rush stone and then get the farms. Thats how I survived in this game so far. My storage for my farms are 14250 and population of 325 out of 350. Also, be careful on population control, especially on early game, dont populate too fast until you get the farms. Also learn about the season, know when to hunt less to conserve the deer population until needed (like during winter). You get less farm food during winter so you should hunt more during it. As long as the game doesn’t crash or glitch, it’s a 5/5 star for me.

I like the game but they need to stop changing the hud
I’ve been playing this off and on for a while and I used to like it because it looked simplistic not anymore I wish it had stayed the way it used to be I would play a lot more if the hud graphics hadn’t been changed

Your just making it pay to win now the old version was good and I like what you added but ether lower the difficulty or let people chose easy hard or peaceful maybe normal like bruh once the games become pay to win or hard to the point you have to pay to win it makes it not worth playing like I like the game over all just make it less pay to win with the nights and amp up the deer that get born over night and the farming time like bro. I’m just trying to help and tbh you will lose a lot of people with it seeming pay to win like it is now

You really need to add a sandbox mode so you can have unlimited of everything but the wall health still acts normally

Haters will say it’s pay to win
So maybe it is… just a little. I don’t think you’ll have an easy time getting past winter without suffering from starvation or spending money. It would be nice if there was a medium mode. I played this game a while back and it was much easier. 👌

This is really close to being an excellent game. If you are prepared to pay through the nose, it probably still is. As a “free” game it is unplayable. They want your cash.
Pretty entertaining
I think this game can be so fun. Even tho I can never get to far lol that might just be me. I still find it fun. Altho it’s so extremely painfully obvious that every single person playing this game will remove knife fighters in the morning and give them new jobs in the day and vice versa at night. I kinda wish they had an auto button. Like pause the game when you go to the screen and you can choose how many workers from what jobs turn into knife fighters at night then go back to their normal jobs in the morning. Would make the game soooooo much more enjoyable.
Why is this even here?
Why is there population counter for the animals? I guess that you’re trying make the game more challenging but there should be an alternative food source, like bread, berries. this is still a great game though just a little difficult.
Stupid game Or a Glitch
The game is fantastic, i love everything about it other than the fact it takes an eternity for new survivors to show up, because of this, i have been barely surviving on 13 people for god knows how long to the point where I'm making no progress while the waves of zombies get significantly stronger every night, there is nothing i can do... I make resources and lose them just repairing stuff and by the time i can upgrade my camp i have no resources to upgrade anything else so my camp gets obliterated the next blood moon. I really like this game and want to see updates in the future fixing this issue, please take my review in to consideration... Thanks

WHAT A TIME WASTER
I am genuinely frustrated with this game and it’s help department. I played this for 7 hours straight last time i played and my world got deleted after a 20% battery notification popped up on my screen. I thought they would have fixed this by now seeing as it was over 8 months ago. I decided to play the game once more today in hopes that it would raise its standards 8 months later. Oh how I was wrong… On day 65, a random horde of zombies proceeds to attack your front wall. Not a normal 4-10 zombies. 20 at least and all were the large sized ones. my wall went from max health to glowing red to gone in 5 seconds. i don’t know how the game expects you do handle this or if there even is a way to handle it but clearly I didn’t find it. It has really disappointed me seeing as I love these types of games and this one especially. But now I hate the creators more than anyone seeing as I have spent 20+ hours as of today.

Glitch
Played for two hours. When I cleared a second section of ground zombies got stuck around the side. My fighters wouldn’t go around the corner so the gates stayed shut during the day and everyone starved.
It’s good
I play this game a lot and it’s one of my favorite games I have died so much but I still like the game. I wish that if a zombie broke down your barricades. It was like a mini game or a fight with all your guards and the zombies just like maybe something to keep your outpost. spending money like maybe one of those things where you have to watch multiple ads to keep it I don’t know it’s a good game.
Could be a great game
The gameplay is fun and it’s a great game. But the food mechanic need looking at. Can only hold 20 meat in your outpost without upgrades (which only add 5 meat to total each time) but every citizen eats every hour. End up having citizens die from starvation because I can’t hold anymore food so when the gates shut for the zombies, they eat all the food in the first 2 hours. Had to delete the game because I went from having 50 citizens to having 7 in only a few in game days and couldn’t make my numbers back up in time for hunters and knife fighters.
a bit buggy
I have been playing this game for a while and I have now noticed that as soon as I get past a certain part of the game and I close the game, I can no longer play it without it crashing and me having to restart it. My last save I had a population of around 200 and now I have a population of around 260. Is anyone else having this bug? Because the last time, for me to play again I had to reinstall the app but then I lost all of my previous progress. Other than that one bug the game is pretty fun.

Glitch
And on top of that I now have a glitch where when I start a save once I get 150 wood it doesn’t add any more wood so please fix this and it’s not just a display error but I literally don’t get any more wood.
Good but not the best
It is a very fun game but my only problem is it doesn't make it gragually harder and if you lose and your outpost is breached you have to pay to keep your progress also the people are just little circles pls change this and make the game possible for newwbies 😀-This is an addon to my comment i think there is a glich where survivors disappear as nobody staved to death but I went from five lumberjacks to 0 my hunter also vanished and i now no longer what to play this game and have found better ones in the same genre.
