What they complain about

- Text editing and cursor positioning fail
Better than everything
Track everything w linear. Simple, flexible, intuitive. The more you use it the more you like it.
App doesn’t work
App doesn’t work on mobile
Almost perfect
Incredible UX, very performant. Please fix your web MCP though - Cursor, Claude Code and other tools always seem to disconnect in a day or two, sometimes 2-3x in the same day (never had issues with other MCPs)
Desktop is good, mobile app is a joke
While on desktop / browser this is really good tool, the mobile app is a complete joke. No key views, no ability to list issues by statuses, etc. It’s useless.
Linear is great, app a little confusing
Love linear so much. But the mobile app is a little confusing. The most common confusing flow is in on an issue and I want to edit it, I have to go to the more menu and find edit, but I keep wanting to press on the button that creates a new issue since it looks like an edit button
Simply perfect
One of the best mobile apps I’ve ever used. They’ve absolutely nailed the software development workflow. Keep it up.
Cant see all issues
Cant see all issues
Why can’t I see “Done” tickets
Certain statuses are just plain hidden on the iOS app making it almost completely useless
Very buggy UI when using the iPad with Magic Keyboard
The floating text editor buttons is very buggy. Needs to be reworked. Weird animations, UI elements just disappearing. Poorly done and not thought out.
A little confusing
Overall, the app seems great and fun to use although I’ve noticed a few little hiccups with voiceover nothing terribly serious. Some things might be unlabeled or such but most everything is navigable and able to be gotten around.
Loveable
Saying "It is not Jira" would likely be enough to gain this five stars for many of us. The user experience is, relatively, amazing.
Not just mobile. The whole thing.
This was clearly built using AI. It is so messy. There’s zero documentation for Azure. Everyone except the decision maker hates this app.
Issue counts
For a product as great as Linear, I can’t believe the mobile app does not display a COUNT of the issues on each view. This simple metric is used by individuals to mentally keep track of their daily progress. Please add this!
App sucks
Why couldn’t you just make linear as it is? Why is everything different and unintuitive it’s so bad and search sucks
Great AI integration- Hard to find issues if you are human
It’s not as user friendly as Asana, but better for AI, so I don’t have a choice until something better comes along.
Right interface
Simply the greatest plunging
Missing many important features
The app is missing so much functionality. Even things as basic as grouping by Label on Views. This is all possible on the web app even on mobile, but not the iOS app…
훌륭한 shadcn스타일의 생산성 툴
하지만 미완성입니다 프로젝트 생성이나 팀관리 그런게 따로 기능이 없는지 찾기가 어려운지 모르겠습니다.
Linear is good. The app is mid.
I like linear itself, but the app just kind of falls flat. I can’t imagine just using the app, but I guess most people don’t have to, and I don’t have to, but I guess people use the app probably for notifications or something. I don’t even prefer just using the browser version of linear than the actual app. It just lacks so many of the features of the actual version which is like a little weird on the iPad because it seems like at least on the iPad Pro. It could have most if not all of the actual linear features. Like it’s kind of crazy that it doesn’t even support basic things like switching layout from list view to board view. A bit disappointing, but at least it’s not extremely buggy.
Unusable on mobile, great otherwise
It’s a good piece of software on desktop, but on iOS it’s unusable. Impossible to paste things where you want them in a ticket due to the cursor positioning on tap not working very well. Would love to see this fixed pretty please
Linear is awesome
One of the most useful apps I’ve had for tracking bugs and issues. I use this daily and it works!
Big linear fan - 1.70.0 doesn’t even advance beyond the splash screen
Downloaded 1.70.0 on my iPhone 14. Does not go past the splash screen. No auth method buttons, no nothing. Just hangs. Linear has a brand based around high quality software. This is extremely disappointing and tablestakes to say the least. Please fix, and I’ll update my rating, thanks team
Linear is incredible but..
Whilst I love the linear platform and the app is genuinely impressive, I’ve found it hard to use to review and plan tasks simply due to the way the issues list works. After scrolling and selecting an issue to view, it will take you back to the top of the list in which you need to scroll back down and find where you were. Essentially killed my ability to use the app to check issues within my backlog. Would be stoked if this simple change could be addressed
Search button missing
Everything was good until you removed search button. Please return!
It’s OK
Certain devices, OSes, conditions etc. tend to create more memory/suspension pressure which is fine, but without iOS state restoration I hardly ever return to the context/issue etc. I was in. Not amazing for flow.
Love it
Best task manager by far and not just for dev teams. I use Linear in my personal life and projects as well lol. It would be nice to have Kanban view on mobile though. Other than that I can’t complain
Left side bar from hell
What are they doing not allowing us to collapse the left side bar and hide it. The entire app is incredibly constrained. This is such a bad misstep. Didn’t expect this from linear.
App crashing
Whenever I open a image in a ticket or a project document, app crashes.
Weirdly challenging to find issue list
It’s incredibly challenging to find the backlog / issue list. This feels like the first thing I would expect to see. Linear’s web app is great but I can’t seem to get this app to work for me.
Slow on older iphones
The UI is great. But it is slow on my iPhone 13 Pro Typing on it feels really sluggish
The Best
Linear is just so flipping nice. Thanks for everything Design, Eng, and Product does over there to show how much you care about the quality of your work.
Terrible iOS support...
It's slow, clunky, I am unable to access all the status option available to my project, it's nearly impossible "save" after making edits.... the list goes on... Absolutely terrible in its current state, which is inexcusable for how long Linear has been on the market as a productivity and tracking tool.
Love linear - fix search
Linear is the no brainer choice. Like truly the best. Dont waste time comparing. But. They need to please fix search. Its so impossible to find any issue by search. Not just me, our whole team has mentioned this. Please fix - im sure you will crush it goats Oh and finish integrating documents and make it full featured so I can completely elimate google docs and fend off requests to buy coda. K thx bye
Allow Word Selection for Copy on Mobilr
Hi, the app is great, but when we have a comment on an issue for text that we want to copy, we can ONLY copy the whole comment on mobile. PLEASE allow us to select text in the comment and issue description. Not possible on Iphone. Big pain point
World-Class
Incredible piece of software. Worth every penny.
Text input for issues barely works
Linear is usually so great, but text input for issues on this app is completely broken. I think they override the system settings/controls because tapping to select a word or move the cursor, when making edits, doesn't work at all. Users are forced to type everything out and only input text at the end of the text, so editing is impossible. This app would be great if this worked, but sucks because this major use case completely fails. Without that ability, all this app is useful for is moving status for existing issues, so... not much.
Bad on iPad
Just the iPhone app but bigger. Takes advantage of nothing the iPad offers. Just not worth using.
Eh
Nowhere near as powerful or as well designed as the web application. Honestly all I want is a really good WebView optimized for iPad.
Beautify app
Every day user for 5 years
View options is horrendous
Too complex please fix this asap
Linear Great - App lacking a lot
We love Linear as a team and has helped so much in our development management, but as a busy PM on the go the app is sorely lacking views and functionality to make it helpful. I need to travel with a laptop again to oversee and keep on top of things. Hoping its feature set grows.
Mobile App
Why aren’t all of the features available on the iOS app? I should be able to do everything on the app as well, otherwise, it’s useless.
Game Changer
This is the future of work tracking
What's the point if you can't even log in
Used to work but after one of the updates the app gets stuck at the sign in screen. Even reinstall did not help. Lame
Clean but underdeveloped
The design is very clean and I really want to like this app but it’s still missing essentially every feature I would want to use. I could write a huge list of missing features but really my goal on mobile would be to review the status my issues, projects, and initiatives. I would like to see the progress graph for projects, my custom sorted list of projects, cycle progress graph, etc. I don’t plan to be creating many new issues on mobile, and I rarely use inbox, search, or settings, so the home button is the only place for me to go when I launch the app, and that page has a single link to my one team. I would much rather be able to go between issues, projects, views, initiatives on the bottom bar. I hope this app improves and that it can have a reason to exist on my phone! Love the desktop app.
A bit disappointing
I felt that a Linear app would knock it out the park. Ends up being opinionated to the point of not being useful. Moved back to the browser version.
