Very deceptive
They will show you wrong amount so you can use your card again then they overdraft on you to make their money be very careful. I am actively trying to find a different bank. Gucu is very deceptive.

I have a Christmas Club Account but you no longer make it easy to make a check withdrawal. Why do I always have to go thru a teller to get a check withdrawal mailed to me?

I’ve been a member over 20 years and I’ve NEVER had a problem. I would recommend this bank to ANYONE. Very professional staff and extremely nice.
Useless app
App have only feature to attract the customers but don’t work.
Log in pad
The huge login pad was a great idea! Now if I have a problem logging in, I can contact my friends in the space station and have them guide me through it!
iPad
My daughter and I both have iPad 10.5s . The iPads are updated to the latest version. This app will not allow access because it wants a 18.4 version. Ours don’t go there. So we’ll have to replace our iPads in order to continue using the app. Really really not happy about that. All my other bank apps work on the iPads. Disappointed :(

Overall the app is great. It does what it’s supposed to do. I particularly like that the transaction descriptions show information that actually describe it in a way that I know what it was. I do have a SUPREME frustration that I would love to see fixed. When I try to deposit a check, I keep getting various error messages saying I haven’t endorsed the check properly, the check has already been deposited, could not read check, etc. And none of it correct. I even had a stamp made for endorsing my checks! Sometimes it takes 20+ tries before the app recognizes my check. You can imagine how frustrated is.

i-phone 11-s no more room for updates so cannot view my banking information unless I get a new phone yet my other bank still works all because the developer requires the iOS 18.4 update on your phone bad deal
Rejects deposits
Even though endorsed with “For mobile deposit … “ it is still rejected for not having it. Took 3 tries this time. Get your AI together! It used to be better.
Under 200MB
With the shortages of RAM and storage, I must celebrate a banking app that comes in under 200MB. BRAVO. Salute to the developers of GUCU! Thank you for respecting the storage we paid for.
Why????
Why does this app take so long to add or subtract to amounts in your accounts?? It doesn’t update until after 6am, it doesn’t ever have the correct amounts that are in your account until you wait the next day or heaven forbid you pay something on Friday, you will not get an updated balance of your finances until Monday morning after 6am. Please adjust this, I feel like I never really know how much is in my account unless I calculate it myself. The pending amount is never right unless you wait a day or two before paying another bill. This all should be automatic!!! It is not the bill company, it is always pending on the app side..

I can’t get to my banking information after updating.
Mobile deposits
Lately the mobile app is not working properly. States check not properly endorsed or just rejects it . Have to submit multiple times to get app to accept checks.

New update
I don’t have enough storage to update my phone so I can’t get this new update to the app. So I can’t access anything from my account. I’m so disappointed because I thought this would never happen and it did. The app is bugging so much. I need the app to work to check my balance and help track my account but clearly after this update came through it’s been so frustrating.
Blank Screen When Opening
For some reason, with the recent update, the loading screen is blank when I open the app. Nothing loads. So the app hasn’t worked for me in over a month. Can’t figure out how to fix it to access my account on the app.

Great Experience, easy to use app to track my spending. Easily transfer money between accounts. We have Zelle now too. Easy to apply for loans, if needed.

Pop up says update required but does not seem to do update. Just goes back to pop up again.

Review of Mobile Deposits
I’m so very pleased and have enjoyed having the ability to deposit funds from wherever.
Horrible
They closed my account because of “non-use”! When I went to use it, 3/26, I was blocked saying my account was closed. Then they took money from my account monthly due to nonuse and bank fees. What fees? I wasn’t using the account. I have a HELOC with them. Went today to withdraw money to cover financial obligations. Card blocked and unable to use since 12/25. I went into the bank and still no help, they said I would have had to wait for over an hour for a banker behind a desk. They no longer have tellers, but a bunch of ATMs. Couldn’t wait, so she said I can call card services to the number on the back of the card. Called and they couldn’t transfer money to my external bank, couldn’t tell me why my debit card was canceled except it was attached to my checking account, which they closed. I still have two other accounts there with no access to my funds unbeknownst to me. This was the most frustrating four days with this bank, or the most disappointing banks I have ever been with. The worse. Cancel my account for no use for a period of time, cancel my card attached this account, offer no other access to my other accounts still open, can’t transfer money, can’t do this or that! Might as well stop paying the few people that work there and pay us for doing all of our own banking!
