Easy to use
This app is great. Most loan apps I have used in the past are very buggy and now but this one runs very fast and smooth.

The steps to get to the repayment portal do not make sense and I often get kicked off and have to try several more times before it finally goes through.

Kinda glitchy but will work. I don’t understand how $200+ debt became $290+ though when I’m not yet late in payment.
Best Private loan provider
I applied for a private loan for school, got approved for a great interest rate. The support team is very responsive as well. I highly recommend them!

Convenience is great!
This app makes paying loans down very easy! The only change would be showing the balance of the loan alongside the recent payments in the “recent payments” section. I think it would give better perspective for the borrowers when making payments.
It’s okay
Has hella bugs it’s super hard to see your loan or your tasks. Sometimes you have to like exit out the app & sometimes it logs you out .

Predatory practices…
In practices that can only be described as predatory and put into place to deprive loan takers of information to maximize interest charges the app and website offers no way to see your final loan documents, monthly statements (during deferment) to see how much interest you’re racking up, and no interest only auto pay option. I know many will come to Ascent as a must have and last chance funding option, but be aware that Ascent wants to ring you for every penny they can during that deferment period and will deprive you of options and the information that would help you mitigate the amount you need to repay. My advice if you use them is to use a debt repayment calculator and pay as much of the monthly interest as you can during deferment.
Poor design
I can eventually see all my loans but the screens are very large font and not consistent. Example on one screen I see the two loans and one shows a balance while the other doesn’t and then you have to click to see the balance. Too many clicks to see a good dashboard of your loans.
Love the improvement
The app has honestly got more user friendly over the years I only wish I could see my payment breakdown of how much was applied to principal and interest but I just go on the website for it

I don’t like how this app and the website keeps forgetting your email and password and acts as if you never had an account in the first place
Frustrating app.
I think that this app is not explained well, it is simple to use yet every time I try and click on anything it just continuously tells me I already have an account. Mind you, I know that and km already logged in so im lost as to why they continue to ask and then tell me no. Also the chat bot is so bad, none of the questions I had were answered and overall just too clearly a robot it did not help in the slightest.

Hard to access and view information. I struggle to find the right page everytime I go to make a payment. The verification code everytime I want to open the app is also super annoying.

Bad deal!
They give out loans that grow everyday, they make interest on the loans everyday, even when you’re current and make an extra payment! A loan that’s keeps growing till it’s paid off makes it harder to pay off, it’s a bad deal !
Very difficult to navigate
Not intuitive and difficult to navigate. I am using this app for about 6 months and still don’t understand whats my payment term, how much am i supposed to pay next month how it’s going to change in future months. How much of principal i have already paid. I see no calendar, no graphs, no charts. Menu items are too big and the screen is filled up with just few words but functional or graphical stuff. Add graphs, more visualization more functionality. Overall, they could have done a much better job
