Great at First, but Now Expensive and Frustrating
Replit was one of the best AI platforms for building apps and websites when I first started using it. However, after more than a year—and especially with Agents 5 and 6—the experience has gone downhill. Debugging issues get stuck in loops, instructions are often not implemented correctly the first time, and I sometimes have to repeat the same request two or three times and republish the project multiple times just to get what I originally asked for. The agent is also much slower, which burns through credits and makes every project more expensive. Some issues have taken nearly 24 hours to debug. I have been charged as much as $250 in a single day and then had to purchase another $100 in credits just to keep working. When I contacted customer service, they focused on explaining agent fees instead of addressing why the agent was repeatedly failing, looping, and using so many credits. Replit still has great potential, but customers should not be charged for repeated attempts caused by the agent failing to follow instructions or fix problems correctly. Billing needs to be more transparent, failed agent runs should be reviewed and credited, and customer service needs to offer real solutions.

I created three applications. I published one, and I am in the process of publishing two more. An amazing app, I have zero knowledge about coding and I created apps myself so fascinating to know that. Thank you, Replit.
Greedy but a good tool
They had Luna as an option and the ability to set it to max reasoning which was cheap and amazing both. Today it’s “free” with no ability to control reasoning and no insight as to the ai model. “Free” more like “greed” so we have to buy the other tier for consistency! Shame on you! Looking for a new service now.

I made a great webpage, cost me like 240 dollars, then I stopped using it bc it got pricey right? Came back two months later - and I still have to pay just to have 1 app, and you have to pay to even get support LOL LOL, pay to get support?? That’s super absurd. So idk. Very mixed feelings for this app. Does amazing things but literally is a money guzzler. But I put in a lot of time and brain power to get my app perfected so hopefully I figure out how to work around this major money guzzling. Since using two months ago I came back to a subscription plan so I’ll see how that goes 🥴
Fine for websites but not much else
Been trying to build a game using this and let’s just say I would rather give an Indian guy my money to develop it than waste money with the amount of mistakes it makes

Don’t put your card anywhere near this app the membership and usage ability come separate lol and they will charge your card without asking even if you aren’t using the app and contacting them about it is useless they will rip 200 straight from your wallet

Fabulous. But lack of 2FA on accts limits applications this can be used for unless doing Enterprise plan - otherwise amazing!
Good for rich people
The new update is actually pretty decent, i couldn’t find ye old assistant, and my credits ran out after 2 prompts, my monthly credits. I get its a company that needs to make money but two prompts and no credits for a entire month is crazy. If they really wanna let 2 prompts be the limit i wish they would let you download a separate AI or something like chatgpt or your own claude to be able to natively read files. I also wish it was easier to export files, as there is no way to uniformally export a file to get someone else to be able to quickly find a bug, but granted the files are decently sorted using the ai, better than before where there was 500 random files and you take 5 prompts telling the ai to sort the files into something readable. Anyways i will be waiting a month to use it again because my computer hasn’t worked in years and my iPhone 6 can’t render in many big engines

The app is incredible, but the reason for 3 stars is that once it hits a bug, the agent becomes stubborn and its logic becomes broken. Simply fixes are sometimes impossible to achieve. (Something as little as fixing the logic behind assigning product locations)

Incredible opportunity to use your creativity to gain freedom
I’ve been in the world of software and entrepreneurship for almost two decades, and it’s incredible how much more accessible Replit has made those things. Software that used to take months and tens of thousands of pounds to build, now takes days and hundreds of pounds (if that). The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because Replit is more expensive than many other AI coding tools. But, to be honest, it’s still well worth it, in my view. Support is also exceptional, at least in my experience as a paying customer. I don’t know what it’s like for free users.
BEWARE!
this app makes really good websites and apps but beware that it is AWFUL at maintaining it. even after spending money to upkeep and build my website as best as possible the website has new bugs every single day that require me to spend extra money to fix. i would not use this app again to build websites and ESPECIALLY apps because it will crash every single day WITHOUT reason and no matter how much time or money you spend trying to fix it, it will consistently create new issues to get you to spend more money

Good tool but ….
If like me you want to make tools etc for your own use and expect to be able to directly export to your phone you will be very disappointed, as I was, that this is not possible. Cancelled subscription as highly disappointed won’t export directly to my phone, so is not what I had expected/thought it was.

I have emailed customer service and have received no reply. My project under the core subscription disappeared and I am wondering why. Hundreds of dollars and months spent building this project only for it to disappear without an explanation is extremely frustrating and disappointing. Being one of the top rated vibe coding apps out there and this is what it comes to.

As someone with no coding experience but have an in depth understanding of how to prompt ai without hallucinations, this is extremely helpful to visualise my product to help secure funding. There is a catch with storage that seems to be charged at "any time" separately to your subscription & additional charges that go over your credit limit. This feature needs rework for end users please.

My app crashes all the time won’t run for 24/7 if I go to sleep the app crash and my apps won’t work until I login and start paying not happy

I’ve been creating an app over the past 2 days and was really impressed at how quickly and easily it created something that looks on par with other apps. I was so impressed I decided to upgrade to Replit Core for £20 a month give or take. I was perhaps silly to think that gave me unlimited usage. I received a charge of $60.02 about 2 days after paying the 20 a month. Was really enjoying the app until that moment probably won’t use it again now after that.

Doesn’t really make sense
When I ask it to do something and it tells me I’m out of “today’s free credits” the title of the message is “Daily limit reached” but if it’s a day limit and all the actions and messages happened 1 day ago, then why does it still block me? Other than that this app is really good and I definitely recommend. 👍

All good except the fact it does not support full screen while on external display on iPad. Easy to use for beginners.
Replit being bad after new UI update.
Replit have made it self very complicated and has bugs now, its very complicated to look at files and codes. When creating a repo using the GitHub repository, any files aren’t added to the repo (which means the files that were in the repository were created so it's useless to use Replete with GitHub now).

I was impressed after trying free version then I purchased monthly plan but gradually as I added features the app got crashed completely and finally I had to start from scratch and the experience is frustrating. Total waste of money & time. I deserve to get refund.
Command Line Shortcuts and Built-in Buttons Not Working on iOS
Although the app works well overall, I’ve been consistently facing an issue for the past 5 months on my iOS device. The command line functions (such as Ctrl + C) and the built-in navigation buttons (< • >) no longer work. Because of this, I’m unable to create React/Next.js apps, as I cannot navigate through the required options. Previously, these commands and buttons worked perfectly, but now neither of them respond. I’d greatly appreciate it if your team could look into this issue and provide a fix at the earliest.
