I looked at the apps I purchased with my Apple ID and I bought this app on 01/17/2020. I don’t see how they think they have the right to brick an app that I have already paid for. This is the second time they have tried this since I’ve owned this app. They try to get you to pay again for an app you’ve already paid for. They stop the app from working by making it go directly to a purchase page that you can’t get past. Very low move. They will never sell me any more software.

Annoying autocomplete
Overall I like the app. Really wish I could shut off the autocomplete. I spend so much time fixing the mess it creates. I just want one option to shut off the autocomplete, autoindent, autobraces, autoquotes, and anything else that the editor wants to type for me. For example… for i in range( The editor will add the closing parentheses. Then after typing the number I have to move the cursor to the end of the line to be able to type the colon. It’s more work than just typing the two characters. In addition, because of the terrible autocomplete,sometimes I end up with my typing appearing in the wrong place, random “m” characters when typing single quotes, and extra characters when the editor guesses incorrectly. I just want to turn this garbage off. The editor is really frustrating to use.
Crashing very often
It is a great app. But it crash very often. Also, it read files from iCloud with difficulty.

It’s been 3 days since I used it and already there was something for me to pay…. Well, nothing is for free I assume, haha! I had a fun time experiencing and installing stuff with this tool it really helped me out… Maybe I pay for it, who knows? ;)

advertised wrongly
I found online that this is supposed to be one of the best and free offline python IDEs, just one problem. Its not free even though theres a 3 day free trial and even if you pay for it, you have to spend extra for the pro version, its just very misleading when you find this info online and the app isnt even close, the features are great but I dont want to pay this much for full functionality

Used this app after a long time. I remember buying it, but suddenly, it’s asking for payment again 🤔? Clicking “Restore” is not doing anything.

Works great but can’t stop the code
The app works great but when running a code, i press the stop button and it doesn’t end. I have to restart the app for it to stop running.
Runs python, but randomly crashes
This would be pretty perfect if it worked reliably. But it spontaneously crashes while I'm editing a script. Not even while running, while editing. It's very frustrating.
Very glitchy
The fake terminal works about 2/3 of the time, and PyPi only about 2/5. It seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Look at the date, as of now it hasn’t been updated in 7 months, and it shows.
Updated - maybe working ok again?
I deleted the app and restarted. Possibly, this will fix the problem where I keep getting promoted to purchase (again) - hopeful… seems to be working again. Nice app for developing Python programs

I bought the in app purchase a long time ago and now it's requiring me to purchase it again.

No option to cancel free trial
The app seems good enough. My only thing is that it has not given me the option to cancel the free trial in the app nor on my iPhone settings, so just beware of that.

One of the better apps for python. IT is a little more complicated to use than I would expect, so some videos on how to really use it would be awesome.
Difficult for new user
I’m new to Python programming and find the lack of documentation appalling. I expected some “growing pains” with learning a new language and editor, but think I’ll give up on the iPad version and probably just stick to programming on my Linux machine. I haven’t programmed in years but was proficient in C++, Machine Language and BASIC.

Great app, horrible price
I think its a great app, love having python so easily accessible…. But for the same sub price I can buy Replit and have python and then some. No more bloody subscriptions.
Inconsistent due to paywall (18.0.12 not working)
I keep needing to use a script I have on my phone, but randomly some days the paywall screen still pops up (I purchased the full version more than two years ago). On those days, none of the scripts run. It’s not errors; nothing happens when I hit the run button. Please fix, this is unacceptably unreliable.
Pros and Cons with this one but it’s good
Works well for some projects and some other projects it doesn’t (mainly due to certain libraries) as oppose doing it on a MacBook where you are do some more better. The app itself is visually appealing. I do love I can use shortcuts with this because I love my shortcuts and now I do some awesome things.

Good but issues
This is a great platform to write code on an iPad, and use in shortcuts. Terrible at crashing, and loses code often. Will often lose large chunks of code just by switching between apps. Not great for a paid app.
Subscription needed👎
You need a subscription to use an app that others on the App Store do the exact same thing of.

Couldn’t cancel subscription
I couldn’t find the subscription anywhere on the app nor my settings, seeming like the dev is forcing you to not cancel.

最近正好学校要用pytorch，不打算开电脑了就打算来pyto应付作业，结果一点击安装pytorch就弹出一个空sheet，一点动静也没有，还关不掉，等了很久也没有啥动静，最后只好用电脑 所以麻烦修复一下这个bug（可能也没法安装其他模块，但是暂时用不到，所以没有试过）

It is really a good app, but sometimes I can’t download python library ，and I think if this app have a specification can be more useful
Unstable
App will constantly freeze up, crash, then delete your last 5 minutes of work. Don’t bother trying to use multitasking, nothing is saved, the stop button at times is unresponsive, and while deleting if you spam the key a few times and end up going to the line above it tends (not always) to crash, holding the button instead hasn’t had this issue… yet. When it works though it’s great, I wouldn’t even mind the occasional crashing if I didn’t lose my data. Maybe make auto save more aggressive or let me save manually. Until then this is a cool tool for small scripts, but anything big is gonna give you a headache

Was wondering if this was possible, and amazingly enough it actually is. Fantastic app, runs super smoothly despite a somewhat old phone (iPhone 6), and great to have iCloud Drive integration and offline storage options. Would love to see a dark mode for the whole app instead of just the editor, to reduce the eye strain when I’m using this at night (seems to be implemented for iOS 13, but not iOS 12). Have had a couple of crashing issues when typing quickly, but not sure if that’s autocompletion being overworked or my phone just not dealing with the memory load or something. Can’t wait to explore this more, particularly the user I/O side of things to see what’s available!

Don’t purchase Pyto because it will ask you to purchase again and there is ZERO support.
Great app but has a couple of issues.
Loves to crash often, but otherwise it works AMAZINGLY well. Easily the best and most versatile iOS Python IDE, and supports almost every PyPi package. Couldn't recommend more over any other, would give 5 stars if it didn't crash so much.
Cannot install 3rd party packages
whenever i got to install PyPi packages it freezes, or at least the ones I want to use. in particular "numbers-parser" It doesn't even say what is happening it just hangs and you have to restart the application.
Good in general, but a critical functionality missing
It’s pretty good in general, However, the Pyto folder does not accept common external file types such as .CSV and .TXT which means you cannot read or write external file using Python. The ability to read external file is critical for fundamental data science and scientific computation. I really want to love this app but the missing ability makes it hard to recommend if you want to perform meaningful real life work.
