Cell Output Plots
Worth the $40 to use this app. However with latest builds, clicking cell output with plots doesn’t use screen wisely. on 12.9 in ipad, it pops up a 400 x 400 window that takes up less 25% of screen width and height. Zooming is awkward to use. Until developers fix, i’m going use my laptop
Onedrive support?
Docs say onedrive not supported, ios settings app lets me choose onedrive for document storage in juno’s app access settings. Which is it? It still doesn’t let me open the files in the app so I guess it doesnt work. Wont shell out £30 for an ide that doesnt integrate with my institutions storage provider.
Nice to have Jupyter notebooks on my iPad
Overall the running of Python scripts and Jupyter notebooks works very well. In fact, the app would be worth the money just for the Jupyter notebooks. However, the user experience for me was a bit of a let down. I keep getting little problems like auto indents going to the wrong place, eapecially after two finger cursor moving gestures over the keyboard, and sometimes the cursor going off a few lines when I tap to place the cursor, which require me to exit and reopen the app. Plus navigating back to the project/file list can be unintuitive and frustrating especially in portrait view (perhaps because I have an iPad Mini). I do like this app though, I just think the dev could spend a bit more time coding with it so it becomes a bit more polished.
Great app
Overall this is a great app. Opening files however is more confusing than it should be, however. For some reason tapping on a file on iPad only previews it, and for some reason the preview is always wrap rather narrowly so that there’s up to 10-20% of nothing but wasted whitespace on the right. Actually opening files results it different kinds of editors: code files get a full screen editor with a collapsible console sidebar. But text files confusingly only get a modal popup up. I understand why notebooks are somewhat different, but overall the app would be far less confusing if I could 1) actually just open files by tapping on them instead getting a useless narrow preview, and 2) just use the same editor for text and code files. Text files could just have certain toolbar items disabled. Also, I often would want to use the console or a Python terminal while viewing a text file, as some text files are actuall CSV files that I’m manipulating. The UIs in Pythonista amd Pyto are much more intuitive , but sadly development has seemed to stall for both. I’d love to replace them with Juno, but the UI needs work.
Useless unless you pay
Literally all useful functionality requires the full version, and it doesn’t do enough to let me evaluate its worth.
Please add Langchain
This is perfect for most data science use cases but it lacks the full capability of my main use case which is langchain. Adding this will make this app 5/5 but I am still stuck with using google colab for the IPad

Nicely done, very portable
I would recommend Juno to anyone who likes to play with Python. It’s Jupyter notebooks, but with a good tablet interface and well chosen libraries on board. I used it to take some of my fun programming projects with me on a long trip.
Not Free
Don't even pretend to have a free tier if you can't write or run code in it.
Where’s the iOS shortcuts action?
Overall a great product. Would give it 4.99 stars if possible. My only complaint; there is no “run python script” iOS shortcut action. Pythonista and Pyto both have this feature.

Free version not really any good
If you want me to buy the full version, then show me something of what the code can do in the free version. As it stands, so far as I can tell, you can’t actually run any python in a notebook without buying the full version. Generally speaking apps will show you something of what can be done before youhave to spend money. Not here apparently.
My Everyday Jupyter Notebook Client for Drug Discovery Research
I work as a scientist at a large pharmaceutical company in Boston and this app has been my daily driver for analyzing data on my iPad as well as my Vision Pro for the last few years. It’s truly been a productivity game changer. Instead of lugging my MacBook Pro into the lab, or to a meeting, I can bring my iPad to document my experiments. I also use Juno on my Vision Pro during my long train commute which is amazing. Thanks for developing this app!
pretty horrible app
Doesn’t even let you run python files unless you pay, all it is is just a half working text editor. You can’t even edit notebooks or run the code in them. There are apps out there that do a whole lot more for free

Looks good until you try to type literally anything
Ok so I downloaded this app thinking it would be really good for my coding - obviously web servers etc wouldn’t work as I am on an iPhone. I opened it and at first it seemed to be exactly what I wanted - I could view files amd see the results of the demo python files. So I tried to get right in and start coding - and guess what? I have to pay £30! To run a HELLO WORLD PROGRAM! And guess what? Python itself, it’s many dependencies and many IDEs are free AND open source - this one is neither! I would rate higher if the price was lower - all I wanted was a nice free app for writing an bugfixing code while im on the go :(
It’s ok
This is not the best IDE for iOS out there. It has no pip support for installing packages which severally limits its functionality. Until pip is added this app won’t work for me. Also please add a free trial so people can see if it works for them especially since it costs $25 to unlock the full app.
Unbelievable
I am studying data science, and was looking for a mobile option to practice/do exercises/follow lectures while on the go. This app is everything I hoped for and more. Using notebooks and running tools pandas, sklearn, seaborn etc. works flawlessly on the Apple ecosystem. On top of all that the UI is beautiful, snappy, and easy to use. Whoever you are dev, thank you so much.

Pretty decent
Too slow and inability to disable matching character completion ()[]{} on notebook is annoying.
Looks good… too bad I can’t use it
Every time I try to do some thing like edit a file a pop up comes up and I can’t edit it, I thought this was an editor not a viewer.
Issues with grid search
Every time I run grid search, it’s infinitely loading, it won’t run the result below the code “import from sklearn.model_selection import GridSearchCV”. And the app will crash!
Has all libs I need
Costs $25. Has all the libs I need.
Difficult to use
I navigated to Locations to save code… now cannot find my way back home… this is the pro version… How do I get back to the IDE? Wow. Very user hostile…. No AI or interactive assistant

Basic package not accessible. Kalman installed however app unable to run script ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pykalman
ML without Tensorflow!!!
Be careful before you download this application! This app does not support TensorFlow!! Which would be a BIG problem, if you are looking forward to work with deep neural network.
Just wow
I am a heavy scientific user (anaconda , numpy, matplotlib, etc.) on regular computers. This comes with all the same tools, and just works. And, iPads are fast! Numpy seems to compute double precision sines in about 3ns each on my iPad Air.

Whats the point of this app, mind as well just make everyone pay to download it, this is ridiculous.
Great but…
Great program! Only gave it 4 stars because I got this to write a document illustrating TDD with unittest. Unfortunately unittest doesn’t behave for me in this environment. I couldn’t figure out how to see the stack traces. All in all a very impressive app.
No Tensorflow Support
Does not have support for Tensorflow package, cannot be used for my use case.
The app crashes with Iphone ios 16.1.

Nice syntax highlighting, code completion and a well thought out UI make for a surprisingly functional mobile coding environment for Python and Jupiter Notebooks.

real scummy tactic. you cant even runt code without paying a whopping 30 smackeroonies. save your time with this one, youre better off with any other app.
Great app with some forgiveable shortcomings
This is a wonderful app. It provides a very useful Python IDE and works flawlessly when using local files. There are some issues when working with Dropbox, however, as it seems the app doesn’t track changes to Dropbox as you might expect. Changes made on another Mac and reflected in Dropbox are not mirrored directly. Instead a conflicted copy is made. I call this forgiveable because it may be due to iOS itself.
App crashes when file is unavailable
Juno crashes whenever it can’t find a file that was previously opened from the network (when re-opening the app). This is a bug that needs to be fixed.
Nice app but could do with improvements
The UI is a bit fiddly, the option to have a toolbar would be good, especially when not using an external keyboard (e.g I can’t find any way to delete cells) Adding the Pillow module would be good so we could work with image data directly, I’ve resorted to using a different app to convert images into something I can read, which is a pretty rubbish workflow.
A Great IPad App for the expat developer
I,m a developer I started out using Juno building code each day, after a week the edit screen begins to crash when copying code and inserting. I sent an email to support, waiting for a response. I managed to stop the crash by shutting off the code completion option in settings in Open Python Source, while in source edit mode. Seems to be a great app thus far, with a responsive app support team, given the last updates a month ago. Will continue using it, many packages for math applications.
Not free use carnets
Like the title says use Carnets and do everything this app can do for free in most cases
No Repl but everything else is good
I miss the repl in the abandoned Pythonista, so for my needs, Juno, which does not include a repl, is mixed bag. Excellent for Jupiter on iOS.
Could be great
This is a really good app with only one limitation: the lack of scikit-learn, scipy and tensorflow is so restricting that it has rendered the app all but unusable for me
App Closing when switched
Juno is closing when the app is switched even for a little amount of time like 10 seconds. Please fix it.

I was looking for a Jupyter framework to work on my ML/AI projects with TensorFlow. Regrettably, Juno does not support installing „non-standard“ packages, and does not resolve dependencies. Practically, I cannot use it. Looks decent enough otherwise.
