Honestly, From reading reviews before, I was not expecting much, but this is awesome . Even if your ai credits run out, as this review is coming from a js html python and css programmer, the events page is easy to master in less that an hour without watching the video.
Not beginner friendly
I spent so long trying to figure out how to even make a single sprite in this thing and they never figure it out

I like the app a lot, not too difficult to learn, and made my first mini-game in one day. 😄 My only issue is the pretty frequent crashing. It’s also a bit slow on my android tablet (and yes, my storage isn’t the problem). I still recommend though, especially for beginners. 👍

It’s okay I guess
I mean it isn’t terrible but sometimes the AI gets really confused with my idea then before I knew it my credits or whatever ran out (and I ain’t paying anything sorry). Just can be better in many ways and has so much room to improve. I’m not hating or anything but try to focus more on improving the AI. Sometimes my ‘games’ get deleted which I find difficult to do.. three stars is the best I can rate it sorry but making a game for me is difficult. Just my opinion

Keeps crashing
So I’ve been making a game and it great for a a simple project but not great if you want to make something in 3d it keeps crashing anytime I make a change to like position or anything really pls fix it! But it is a great engine and has great potential for even I’d say games that can end up on the App Store or comparable to unity

I know a lot of people say oh it’s so good Lala blah blah blah blah, but can you please make it that the fact that just because we don’t sign in doesn’t mean we lose our progress like can we not like give us like a option please if you know you know if you don’t sorry anyways every time I just get kicked out when I’m like trying to edit a game it happened to me like 10 times. This is a really good App to use for someone like me who doesn’t know coding and wants to make and the best part is, it’s completely free i’ve been looking for one of these for a long time and what’s even better, you can publish your game for free on any App Store except the downside is if you use an Apple phone or iPad or Mac you have to pay yearly too publish your game and keep it on the store but the other ones are completely free! The best game maker ever!

So I like this app however it gets repetitive, so I would like a fishy characters pack from a game called fishy bits 2 fish survival please, the game was created by PlaySide Studios, so please review that game and add the fishy characters from fishy bits 2 fish survival please. Also it would be fun if you added big fishes from pack from fishy bits 2 fish survival please. So add the bigger fish packs from fishy bits 2 fish survival please. Also fishy bits 2 fish survival is a game where you avoid bigger fish and eat smaller fish to stay alive and evolve. Also you drag your finger around the screen to move your fish. Also there is another game called hungry fish world fishy Polly, it is another game where you avoid bigger fish and eat smaller fish. So I would like you to add a fishy characters packs please and also a bigger fish packs as well please and also some smaller fish packs and also some enemies packs from the game please, the enemies are like fishes that chase you and kill you if you touch them. Also you drag your finger around the screen to move your fish. Also it would be fun if you added a behaviour so the fishy characters from fishy bits 2 fish survival and fishy characters from hungry fish world fishy Polly will eat smaller fish that’s the behaviour I want, also another behaviour i want is the bigger fish will kill your fishy characters if they touch them. They added mouse support!
My one and only gripe with the mobile version was that the mouse couldn’t move or interact with the Events tabs or drag objects from the object side bar. Now that it’s been fixed, I have a better work flow than before thanks to the update.
Does not work 60% of the time
I’ve burned through 1000s of ai credits correcting the ai only to export the code and have gemini build it out lol.

I couldn’t even make a character, or import characters from a picture. So many glitches!!!
Excellent interface and build options like the desktop, however subscription is costly
I certainly think that, the Gdevelop developers should monetise, they have costs too. However I am not a huge fan of the limitations on iPad, I’d be more in favour is the sub a lower cost. As it currently stands for Hobbiests like myself, its a little too expensive. I am never likley to create a game that will generate revenue (like the majority of users). That said, massive potential here, and allows many more to access or learn Gdevelop.
