I’m very happy with this! I have two cats and one is much larger than the other. The weight it shows for each cat is not exactly the weight they are but close enough for me to know which cat it is referring to. After using it for around three months I would highly recommend this potty.
Doesn’t say when the cat uses the litter box
This has been bugging me since I got this litter box, but it doesn’t tell you when the cat has just used the litter box, it only mentions that the cat has used the litter box during cleanings. I would really appreciate if the app would mention when the cat actually uses the box, as well as when the cleaning cycle begins. Also, as others have mentioned, improving the notification system would be great. Having a toggle for each different type of notification would be nice, and I’d still like a notification when it is full, during the do not disturb schedule, or even better, once the scheduled time is over. Usually it ends up full during the night, and the litter box becomes very gross and much harder to clean if I don’t notice until the following evening. Otherwise, I like the features of this litter box and the app. At first I was very disappointed, but I removed the plastic cover over the waste collection and it was a significant improvement. Everything makes it in properly now. I just use a bit of tape to keep the bag from shifting too much, but it doesn’t seem necessary most of the time.
Needs more updates
Needs more routine updates. At least a few times a year. I get constant offline messages with my litter box. The factory reset option and turning it off doesn’t really help. I love the litter box but the app and connectivity needs work.
such a lovely company and app!
casa leo loo too was so easy to set up with the app. i was able to delay the spin cycle and was updated when my cat did use it in the beginning. sadly my cat ended up not liking it so we contact the customer support. they were so kind hearted and communicated openly and fast. even though it didn’t work out for my cat, the litter box itself was so sleek and amazing. i would recommend this highly if your cat likes hooded litter boxes!
Terrible customer support
Having this cat box was supposed to help us save our time and energy but they brake easily and when you contact support they want more money from you ($200) to help you “fix” the problem. It’s taken me months to deal with support to help me with this problem. I’ll never purchase anything with this company again. Please save your sanity and go anywhere else for an automated cat box.
Notification options
The app needs to allow you to select what notifications you want. Useful information gets lost in the constant unimportant messages you receive.
The entire setup worked great until about 6 months ago
Now I have to delete the app and reinstall it yo get it to connect to my Leo’s Loo Too, the machine won’t cycle, and won’t connect to the app. A great $600 litter box for a little while there.
So nice
This has made having a cat so much easier plus it doing the weight every time is super nice so that I can make sure he is healthy and maintaining an appropriate weight.
Unusable for 6 Months — No Replacement in Sight
I really wanted to love the Leo’s Loo, but I’m disappointed. The drum on my unit tore about six months ago, and the company has been out of stock on replacements ever since, with no clear timeline or update. The tear is too big to work around, and I end up losing too much litter every time it cycles- which gets costly fast. I just can’t imagine spending almost $1,000 on a product and not being able to use it for half a year. It’s unacceptable. To make things worse, the company offered me an extended warranty for $140-but it doesn’t even cover the drum, which is the main issue. So I’m still stuck with an unusable unit. It’s ridiculous, and the fact that the company’s higher-ups haven’t taken this seriously or addressed it publicly is incredibly disappointing. Because of this entire experience, I won’t be purchasing from this company again.

The new logo design looks like it’s a downloading app. The app is fine, but the product is only good for a couple months and then it is problematic.
Great except for notifications
I love this app and the Leo Loo for our cats. But the one major downside is that the notifications are unusable. I don’t want a notification every time one of my cats goes to their litter box. But I do need notifications for when to clean it or if there’s an error. There’s no way I can tell to limit notifications to only the important ones. Please fix it and this will be a 5 star app and product!
Great litter box!
About 7 months ago I took in a 3rd cat, a month later decided it was time to invest in an automatic litter box. The smaller size of the loo too was what sold me. I don’t have a lot of space to spare but this fits perfect in a 1/2 bath we didn’t need to utilize. I love this machine. It’s super easy to clean and the waste bin is large enough to where I really don’t need to change the trash bag until about day 3 or 4. The drum and opening are large enough for all my cats ranging from 10-14 lbs. The best part though, I have a very anxious cat and he’s terrified of everything new. It took him about a week to be sold but that in itself is impressive! As for the app, it works great and easy to navigate. My only wish is if we could know the bin was getting full before it’s at max capacity.
Do not get this box
The base to this box becomes faulty every so often and I have had to send back and receive a new one multiple times. Just get the litter robot. Support is helpful and nice but you get a response every couple days it is not a speedy process. Once your warranty expires you are out of luck.
App needs some tweaks
I like the Leo’s Loo Too litter box, but I wish there was a way to disable some notifications and not others. Currently all notifications are considered “alarms” in the app so there isn’t a way to show litter box full notifications but not notifications each time the cat uses the box. I don’t want to receive a notification each time one of my cats goes to the bathroom but I do want to receive notifications when the litter box is full and the liner needs to be changed. I also wish there was a way to see how close to full the box is. It currently only tells you once it is completely full.
Love the Box, Hate the App
I absolutely love not having to scoop my cats’ litter box every day. They took to it right away, and they seem to love it. The app, however, is terrible. It’s glitchy, says cats are using it when they’re not (I have a camera set up), and it’s juvenile. Smarty Pear needs better app developers or to invest more in developing a more accurate, more user friendly, and more intuitive app.

The clump bin is constantly indicating full, when it is not. The tech is not integrated to identify a truly full bin, the required constant shifting of the bin, to lower a clump. Too keep the box functioning, requires as much attention as a traditional box does.
Litter box works great, the app not so much.
I received the Leo’s Loo Too yesterday. The litter box is mostly great with one issue. There was a “max fill” sticker that was not accurate at all. It rotated and dumped over a third of the litter in the receptacle. I think it’s still stabilizing because every time it turns it throws away maybe a quarter cup of good litter. Anyway, the app mostly works as well but it’s missing an important function. The log doesn’t show when my cats use the bathroom (and they have done so several times) and doesn’t weigh them. I have it in manual mode so my cats can acclimate so maybe that’s why?
Needs update for iPhone 14
Love this litter box. My cats took to it right away. The app works fine using my iPad Air 13 running OS 16.2. Only 3 stars because it needs an update to work with iPhone 14. Fix that and I’d give it five stars.
Do not get this product
It’s so difficult to clean, especially the base. The electric components are in a place where it’s very easy for cats to pee on and will break

A complete waste of money
I rarely write reviews for products, good or bad, because everyone’s experience is their own. But wow was this product a big let down. Few bad reviews on any product is fine, but the overwhelming number of people with the same bad product experience and the extremely poor level of customer service experience is something to note. Switched over to Liter Robot and it’s worlds better. Spend the extra cash on something that won’t cause such a headache in the long run.
It was our last resort
We have three cats (one is blind) and all around 10lbs. We were given the old version of the Litter Robot and had issues with it constantly stopping and getting stuck. Chocked it up to being the old one and upgraded to the newest one which had even more problems! Joined a FB group dedicated to helping with issues for Litter Robot since their support team basically ghosted you for weeks. The fact this group existed just gives you an idea how bad that contraption was. Finally was able to send the new one back. Decided to give a different brand one last try for automatic litter boxes. Saw the reviews for LooToo was amazing. Bought it and we are never looking back! The LooToo is incredible and the SmartyPear app is so easy to use and very reliable. 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Litter box turns off after every cleaning
This started when the app changed from SmartyPear to Casa Leo. Now after every automatic cleaning cycle, the litter box shuts off. So I have to go in and turn it on manually, and it will only stay on until after the next automatic cleaning cycle. Which defeats the entire purpose of a self cleaning litter box. Why hasn't the app been updated since the change? This is ridiculous.
Cuts my work in HALF!!!
Emptying a bag every few weeks beats the heck out of scooping for 5 furkids every…single….day! We love out Leo’s Loo Toos!!!!
Was working great
Update. I was given a replacement litter box. After 4 months, it died too. I can only manual clean it. The drum won’t stop turning if left in automatic. The litter box was working great but something happened while I was out of town either there was a change in the app or the machine died. It will not automatically clean. I have to manually clean it. Also the machine does one rotation and then rotates backwards and dumps litter in bottom tray. After this rotation, the machine doesn’t line up correctly. The drum gets very dirty. I have only had this for approximately 2 months. I am very disappointed.
Would definitely recommend!
I’ve never had an automatic litterbox but this was the clear choice when comparing to litter robot based on reviews. It makes my life easy and is very communicative about when to add litter and do the monthly cleaning. My only complaint is that I wish they had an add on door that you could purchase. My kitten enjoys flinging litter and a door would be so helpful.
Notifications are annoying, unintuitive
The only problem I have with the app is the notification system, and it breaks the whole experience of the app. It seems there is no way to turn off notifications for when the cats use the litter box and so actually useful notifications get lost in the noise. According to settings, I’m getting 41 weekly average notifications (6/day) from this app, more than any other app on my device. Please add more granular notification settings. Whats more, the notification options are confusing and unintuitive. What’s the difference between a system notification and a device alert? I’m a software engineer and even I don’t know!
