Everyone’s wrong this app is good
This app is very good I’m linked up to my dads weather station and I know how to use this app now it’s good beacause I can tell the uv levels and also the air pressure and that’s my reason why I’m leaving a good review
Doesn’t connect to my WiFi because it’s too fast.
Do not recommend this weather station until they fix the app and internet connectivity
Great but one massive improvement needed
Great app, works seamlessly with the dozen sensors I have running. My only issue is I would like to get notifications when my water sensor is going off, when the temperature gets too high on a certain sensor, when the air quality is bad, etc.
Notification Integration is Lacking
Although it’s not very efficient in using limited phone screen space, the app does a nice job providing current conditions and charting weather history. I also can’t get alerts to show as notifications, or summarized in badges in IOS. That Integration is long overdue. You shouldn’t have to check for alerts within the app or log into email to find out you have a system alarm that’s hours or days old.
Needs better UX
The setup of devices couldn’t have been easier! Unfortunately once you have a bunch of linked sensors the app only shows 2-3 of them at a time with no way to view all at a glance. There’s also no way to shift the weekly or monthly graph view one day at a time meaning that every new week or month it cuts off most of the previous graph data with no way to view the most recent trend.

No complaints. Setup was almost painless. Far easier than expected.
The worst
The App and the device are hot garbage. The interface on the tablet is terrible and the app is even worse. Avoid at all costs.
Does its job
Lots of polarizing reviews here. The app for my rather large weather station meets all of my needs. It’s not incredibly polished, but it is extremely practical, and that’s really all I care about. It could absolutely use some more TLC in terms of UX/UI, but it’s one of those things where, once you learn how the app likes to do things, it becomes perfect. In other words, there’s a small, worthwhile learning curve… after which, you end up with little left to be desired. In short, it does what it needs to do, and I thoroughly enjoy using the app.

Decent app, but the recent changes to require login frequently, but without biometrics is super annoying.
Bug in Annual Rainfall
Great App, great product, but you still have the bug where annual rainfall starts where the previous year left off
Easy setup
Like many other reviewers, I’m using this app for the GW1100 gateway and soil moisture sensors. Whatever issues people were having seem to have been fixed, because I was able to get the gateway installed on my WiFi network using the app on my phone with no issues. I’ve heard great things about this brand and I’m excited to start expanding my collection of Ecowitt sensors.

Available data seems reasonable however a few more options for rainfall data would be great! Additionally the online map only gives rain up to 100 mm. Clearly a lot of rainfall is above 100 mm. But overall not a bad app considering it’s free!
Used to be wonderful
I was loving using this app and device until the most recent update which no longer seems to be compatible with most recent version of iOS. Sure hope this can get fixed.

Only issue is that you have to keep clearing cache. Would be nice if this was automated.

This app is so well done that it is a sad embarrassment to Weather Underground. The EcoWitt charts are exceptionally good and work the way I’d want them to work. It fetches the data quickly. The map is decent quality. It is flexible in terms of how it presents its data. It is reliable.
water sensor
the sensors work well. the app is an abomination. it works sometimes. now its asking for new password. haven’t been able to log in over a week. worthless non information stupid people.
good app, needs more functionality
Very easy to use, but needs some extra graph functions (in order of priority): - remember the last graph view (day, week, etc.). I am constantly having to select my preferred time range view. - add a 72 hours view. This allows the comparison of the current reading with 24, 48 and 72 hrs previously. Much more useful than ‘24 hours’ or the alternative ‘week’ (too cramped and resets on sunday) - allow user selection of the data points. For example, I would like to compare temperature readings across multiple sensors (outdoor v indoor, etc.) on the one graph. One bug is that the graphs don’t respect the dynamic island on newer iPhones. Graph info is hidden at the top of the screen.
Map refresh
A delay of map refresh when moving around the map should be improved. The delay is annoying. Very slow when compared to many other map display apps.
Good, could be better though
Feedback: please give us a widget. As for the entirety of the app itself, I find it does what it says on the box, but, a more centric design approach might be handy. The current iteration in design is good but rather plain.
Fantastic App
Easy to set up and monitor all the different sensors in and around the house, it is now easier to check the app than get up and look at the weather station screen! Brilliant to be able to keep an eye on things when away from home. My only wish is that the most recent image from the HP10 camera was the first image on the screen rather than having to scroll to the end :)
App stopped working
App stopped working after 5 days. Won’t let you log in or contact support. Other apps work so it’s not the equipment. Please fix app!

I can’t get Annual Rainfall to display?
Great product - App needs TLC
First things first - the product works great. So does the app - but there's a twist. I'm using the GW1100 gateway with moisture sensors. However, it seems that a lot of people myself included aren't able to pair the gateway with the app directly. You have to go the longer route and manually add it via embedded webpage. This is fine, it works, BUT, a huge part of having a good product is having a user friendly onboarding process. The app is just as important as the product in order for it to function. I feel like people who aren't as technically inclined might have trouble manually adding the gateway vs if the app were able to add it directly. There must be some sort of fix that can solve this. I would love to give the app a 5 star review, but this 1 flaw leaves a bad first impression. Anyway - looking forward to collecting valuable data! Again, great product and solid quality. The app needs TLC regarding first time setup. I really hope to see developers crank down on the bugs and UX.
Pointlessly secure
Why is this app asking my username and password so often??? Do we really need this level of security to see if it’s windy?

Cant even log into the app
Installed the app and got hung up in setting up moisture sensors. Deleted the app and tried to log back in, and now the app will not work. Spins for a sec but does not login, will not send captcha to reset pw. I assume the api may be down because its totally useless now. Cant even use the support on the app had to email the us support email. Emailed support for help, hopefully they will respond in less than a couple days.
Landscape view on iPAD
Great app but I can’t figure out how to get landscape view on iPAD. Is this possible?
Won’t work without location
I’m not interested in granting the app access to my location. But the app refuses to do ANYTHING unless it has permission to my location. So I briefly granted it access, got the ecowitt gateway onto my WiFi, then I deleted the app. There is really very little reason to use this app other than the first time you provision the ecowitt gateway.
Better than just a web interface (but not much)
Basically an app version of the web interface - so not much to offer. It would be great to have useful iOS functions like widgets (ideally interactive) and the possibility of Siri integration (e.g., “hey Siri, what’s the temperature on my Ecowitt station?”).
Exactly what I need
I want to see what the weather is at home no matter where I am in the world. This gives me that freedom in an easy to read, at-a-glance screen.
Stopped Working with Todays Update
On launch keeps displaying New Version V1.1.25 but version installed is V1.1.27. This is not the first time this has happened. Remove the version check its not needed since App Store will take care of that.
The best app for PWS
Very easy to read on the web version, iPhone and iPad. I have 7 garden moisture sensors all listed at the bottom of my weather station readings. Like others it took a bit to get the app over to English, but the developers were quick to respond with assistance.
Ver 1.1.27 failed 😩
This version broke the graphing function. Now a pop up window overlays the graph. And you have to cancel or confirm to get it off the screen. 😩
Please add a widget
This app would be much more useful if it had an optional Home Screen widget. It would also be nice if it supported IFTTT
Love it.
Love it! Very good app that is very convenient. A bit of setting up is required but fairly easy enough. Would be very good to have the history saved else where like a file on my phone for example as I had to reload the station on and I lost all my history.
Mobile app version 1.1.27 broke app
Cannot access app since 1.1.27 version update. Puts me in a locked loop state with “upgrade now to 1.1.25”, which links me to app store, which links me to the local install, which links me to the app store… etc, etc

Upgrade warning never goes away. App now useless.
No IOT connection
Primitive at best. System and devices worked fine and are priced nicely, but no connection to any IOT or IFTTT. This vastly reduces its usefulness.

New update broke app
The new update now has a giant notification telling me to update the app. The button to update the app opens the App Store that just says open because I’ve already updated the app. the app is now functionally broken. Hope this is fixed quick.
Good view of my weather station
Version 1.03 of this app provides good charts of all the functions on my weather station. In some respects it seems to work better than the Ecowitt web tool. However there does not seem to be any facility to download the data as a table. Nor is there an obvious way to browse other weather stations. But it does what it does do well.
Alexa support or IFTTT support
This app/product needs to allow you to connect with your smart home devices.
Daily rainfall
Recorded rainfall is from 12 midnight to 12 midnight but the accepted recording time period is from 9am to 9am. Also the had a power failure during a rain event , there is no record of the that rainfall event and no annual progressive rainfall total.
Superb data and design
Beautifully designed interface displays complete data from my Ecowitt Weather Station. This superb app and the excellent and reliable Ecowitt hardware at the best choice for those desiring a Personal Weather Station. BRAVO.
Wish it was more user friendly
I’m grateful for the app and it serves it purpose but setup for the gateway is a serious process and not easy at all. Also, while the app crudely offers “alerts” that you can set for something like the moisture meter, it only sends an email to you and does not offer push notifications. This is not helpful and seems very antiquated. This app has enormous potential but it’s poorly thought out. Doesn’t feel like it even belongs in the iOS ecosystem. Hopefully it’ll improve over time.
A good start
Basic real-time information but great to have it in an app instead of having to log in to the website all the time. Look forward to future versions that have the historical info and graphs the website does, then it will be 5 stars.
