Best app ever and not overwhelming
I never leave reviews but I downloaded maybe 10 budgeting apps before I found this one and deleted them all because they were over complicated to set up and did give me the customization I wanted. Too hard to look at and I knew I would use it on the day to say. BIT THIS APP IS PERFECT! It’s exactly what I was looking for. It’s so simple, works well, it’s design is so cute, I love using it, and they don’t have dumb subscriptions fees (you can get pro for one lifetime purchase). Please never delete this app I want to use it for the rest of my life hahaha
I’m stuck
The app is wonderful…but I was hoping for something that didn’t have me…keep the amount that I’m saving in my possession, and instead had it set in the app until I was ready to withdraw it. And I did read everything…but this is not ideal for someone who needs an app that will take the money out of their account and put it into the designated envelope🥺.
Love the function
This app is very handy for being able to budget for certain things every month. Love the feature to replenish a set amount into each envelope with just a push of a button. I do feel like since this new update the colors of the envelopes are more muted and harder to see on the screen. I wish there were more options for more vivid and bright colors.
Edit: used to Adore this app
Edit: the new update made it cutesy instead of utilitarian. So tough to use. Fonts are hard to read, just doesn’t work for its intended purpose. PLEASE go back. Old review: I have used many systems over the years and this is the simplest, most efficient way to do it. It’s the envelope system but without carrying cash, let’s you get credit card points, and takes a fraction of a second to use when in line at the store - so it actually gets utilized! I love that there are no ads. I wish more companies were this efficient and simple. It’s a dream. Does exactly what it needs to do, well. I NEVER pay for apps and I’m so glad I took the chance with Envy.
New format
I really dislike the new format of this current version.
Amazing app and the best support
HIGHLY RECOMMEND After downloading the app, I quickly ran into some technical issues with syncing (completely on my end - ensure you have enough iCloud storage before trying to save). I emailed support and they were very quick to get back with me. They took the time to gather information and after just a couple of back and forth emails, I had the issue resolved in no time at all. The app is very straight forward and simple to use. It’s very easy to set up envelopes, deposit and withdraw from them, and also transfer money across envelopes. The design is sleek and easy to understand. I very quickly upgraded to the paid version and it has been worth every penny!
Cant change currency
It’s good but it’s not allowing me to change the currency
Weekly friendly?
Was a five star app before last update. I budget weekly, and the app before the latest update was much more conducive to that. With the recent changes it seems only to work efficiently for monthly budgets. The new look is really cute, but I wish I had the option go back to the previous version.
New Update
The new update does not work with apples clear/glass app customization. All my apps were the same color on my home screen and now Envy is not matching. The new template inside the app is also not great.
Good, simple
Wish there was a report option with at least the paid app. That way we can see understand our spending easily.

this app deserves it! It’s transformed my ability to budget effectively. I’m very grateful for the lifetime subscription. This app makes me happy and helps me reach my financial goals. Thank you creators
Lame
I believe in basic—but this is useless. If I can’t schedule a transaction, for say a vacation.— It’s lame and useless. I mean even a spreadsheet can do that. 🤷♂️
Please add folders!!!
I loveee this app!! It’s incredibly helpful and has made tracking my spending, bills, and transactions so much easier. I however, use a lot of envelopes to stay organized—making it a bit overstimulating sometimes. that’s the only place I feel a bit limited. I’d love to see more options to organize envelopes—like having folders would be so a great help or custom sorting, as right now it is alphabetically listed. Overall, amazing app and super useful. Highly recommend!
Mediocre App
The only thing wrong with this is I cannot edit any envelopes. The title, the budget, the colour or delete one envelope. Have deleted all envelopes to fix one input error. Otherwise it is great for a quick glance and see where my sinking funds are. Please fix the editing, which would make it a 5 star review.
What I’ve been looking for
It’s simple, beautiful, and so easy to use! Game changer for sticking to our budget. And sort of fun!
No way to delete envelopes???
Maybe I'm just missing something but there does not seem to be any way to delete an envelope unless you delete ALL of them. Nor can you rename them or rearrange them. Baffling that the app has this many good reviews given the lack of basic functionality. Very disappointing since it is otherwise exactly what I've been looking for :/
Good app! …but it would be great if…
It’s a good app and I’ve been using it for over a year now. It is what I need and was looking for, but it would a great app if I could sync it to more than just my phone. Please make this app for iPhone, iPad and MacBook. Also please make it so we can sync it to all devices! This app would be a dream come true then!
Why can't you sync with another device???
I was having fun until i decided to download this app onto my iphone and guess what I was like. Oh yeah, these apps will be able to sync. Of course they will every other budgeting app that I have tried. Does it and then guess what this app doesn't I wonder why is it to make more money off of subscriptions is it because I forgot to add sync but this just doesn't work and it's highly annoying. I decided to use it on itself with my iPad and my iPhone, it was really annoying though when I updated it onto my iPhone, it wouldn't update onto my iPad developers of Envy. Why did you never add this? Is it so you couldn't make more money it's very inconvenient and I would love it if you could add a syncing option cause I've checked you can't sync. It's also very annoying because I have a subscription on my iPad and if I wanna get a subscription on my phone. I'm gonna have to pay more four more dollars and I know you're probably thinking four dollars isn't that much I don't wanna have to pay extra money for stupid app that won't sync. Maybe people are like oh I don't really care about that for me. I do because I like things to be able to sync so I can do things quick and easily. Could you please add this developers? Holland all this app is amazing. It's a really simple app that is easy to figure out and easy to understand unlike other budgeting apps that I have tried sure I made a big deal out of the sinking thing, but it's really not that big of a deal for a lot of people cause not a lot of people have multiple devices that I know of at least and this app is just amazing. I just wish that it was a little more accessible to people who have two device sorry about that rant by the way I just get really annoyed about things that should be common sense to add, but aren't apparently.
Love this envelope planner
Great! Does everything I need it to do. I’m able to see how much I have left in each envelope with just a click of a button and I can transfer to another acct at the end of the month!! Highly recommend!!!

Wish I could sync
I am enjoying the app so far, but it would be really great if I could use it either on my MacBook or on my phone and the information would be available on both. Other than that, I’m really grateful for the ability to track my cashless spending and still know how much I have left from what I budgeted. I’m also very grateful for a lifetime access subscription instead of being charged every month or every year.

I am looking for a budget app and came across Envy. It didn’t have a lot of reviews, but I decided to try it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. What I really liked: - privacy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (no information collected!!) - price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (only 1 low one-time payment!!!) - Interface: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(really clean and easy to use. Especially like the add transaction screen’s simplicity!) - frequent updates, even for a 4-year old app! (That says the developer cares about this and is committed to it.) Opportunities for growth (What would make me switch to use this app): Accounts section for bank accounts or credit accounts Transaction quick entry from home page just like quick deposit (maybe use same page for both positive (deposit) and negative (spending) transactions) Jump to transaction by tapping entry in recent transactions Charts! See how money was spent by category and date range, see spending vs. earning by date range, bonus: click on category in chart to jump to list of transactions filtered by chart date range Optional: choose from different logos to personalize (this is obviously not a need, just a bonus) Overall, while some functionality I use is not yet present, I am very impressed by what I’ve seen. I plan to follow this app for updates and strongly consider switching in the future! (Btw, to the developer: I would be willing to pay more than $5 for these features.)

I finally convinced myself to buy the full app for $4.99, but the final price on Apple shows up as $6.99 once you click “all access for $4.99” $2 isn’t much but it’s 40% more

I use this app every single day and appreciate it so much. It’s so simple, which is part of why it’s so helpful. Plus I love being able to buy an app’s functionality for life, no subscription, no ads.
Another useless budgeting app
I am after a simple budgeting app and this makes all the right claims. But it’s no good. Not very intuitive, and not well designed either. In some places the design is wider or longer than the screen making it very difficult to use. Not impressed. A simple notebook and a calculator seem to be the best option.
Just wish there was a login screen
Love this app, but want to share it with my husband. We don't need separate accounts, just the ability to sign in on two devices.
I like it but
Why can’t you delete individual envelopes? This is super annoying as sometimes I make a mistake or have to change my budget. The only option is to delete all envelopes, which isn’t very practical. Does anyone know how to just delete one thing?
Amazing!
Please don’t ever get rid of this app. My husband and I love it!! We know where every penny goes and keeps us on budget! Even got our 18 year old using it. Now she’s trying to get her bf to use it!! lol

Great app fir Single people not Couples
The App is easy to use and set up . There doesn’t seem to be a way for my wife and I to access the envelopes as its only active on one phone. A multi user function would make this App perfect.

Would be Perfect If…
Would be the perfect budgeting app if there were a way to put in recurring expenses. But having to re-enter the same set of transactions every month is tedious and I find myself using another app to specifically handle reoccurring expenses and this one to budget what remains after those are taken care of.

It is good so far. Just wish there was an option to link to bank account, and I also wish you could put envelopes in folders so that it could mimic different bank accounts.
Simple and Efficient
Love this! Just what I needed on this journey! One thing I would suggest is be able to have low and high priority category. Otherwise still a five star app!
