I really, really LOVE this APP! I just WISH there was One Available for the State of Alabama. Is there any chance your team could work on 1 for Alabama cause every other State in the U.S. has one besides Sweet Home Alabama. lol I downloaded the UTAH Mobile ID App in hopes that I could somehow load my Driver License onto it along with my Car Insurance, Registration, & any other much needed items to have on the ready. If you or your Team reads this, PLEASE Make an APP for Alabama. It would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Used to work, now pay to play
Worthless. This worked when I first got it years ago. Tried to launch the app today and all it would do is crash, so I updated and it deleted my saved license. Thank goodness I didn’t actually need my ID. After multiple attempts to get it set up (due to errors on their end), it turns out you have to pay a subscription to get access to your ID.
Subscription required
When signing up, it asks to have my phone number and email verified. Verifying the phone number worked just fine, when verifying the email I kept getting a 401 error. Luckily, I could skip the email verification. But in order to share any information I have to pay for the subscription, that’s currently $1.99 per year. The nice thing is that they give you a 6 month free trial, I guess that would work in a pinch. But if you have your ID on you to sign up, you could just use the ID. The developer’s other mobile ID app doesn’t appear to have a subscription. And other states that have their own mobile ID apps don’t appear to have subscription costs either. This makes it seem like the subscription is coming from Utah.
Has to be set up all over again
I have had this app since the beginning. And since the beginning on a random basis, you have to start all over again from zero to set this up. So that means you have to find your drivers license and start over. There is no way to login; there’s no way to restore. If you have to set this thing up new several times a year, why do I even use it? Why don’t I just carry my drivers license? It seems to defeat the whole purpose of this thing. Oh..and their support is terrible.
Great in a pinch
I’m so glad they kept this alive. We always have our phone but don’t always have our wallet. Has saved me many times.
Nobody accepts this
While in Utah, using this app with Utah State ID nobody accepts it. The QR code never reads, I’m always denied. It’s really annoying. My guess is that if I ever get pulled over the cops won’t take this either. What a waste
Frustrating experience
Warning to all women: if your makeup is not done exactly the same as in your original photo this app will not recognize your face. Apparently, I am a totally different person when I wear mascara and am completely unrecognizable 🙄 however I did get it to work once I matched my makeup. Also this app would be way better if it would let you add your ID to the Apple wallet.

It Works for TSA
The Utah get mobile ID works for me at TSA. However no digital identification is accepted in any Utah bar or club, since Utah law stupidly requires each patron to show their physical ID, whether or not they’re drinking and whether or not they look 80 years old.
Profoundly Bad
If you have to literally rescan your ID and go through the setup again in order to use this, there’s no point. What a pile of garbage.
Utah… away from the times again
Utah, you really could’ve just made all this on Apple Wallet. The app is fine, but it’s an unnecessary step. Just let me add my drivers license to Apple Wallet.

Was working fine three months ago…
but now I must re-register and the SMS verification text message will not send. The app is worthless to me now.
Adaption limited
I’ve been using this app for about a year. While it’s an official digital ID from the Utah DMV, most businesses still don’t recognize or accept it. I’m often denied at restaurants, smoke shops, and other places that require ID, even though the app is supposed to be a legal form of identification. The technology is good, but adoption is extremely limited. Until more businesses know how to verify it, you still need to carry your physical license everywhere.

WARNING: this app may log you out randomly without letting you know, and you need your physical ID to get back in, so you can’t necessarily count on it. What’s the point of it if I have to carry my physical ID around everywhere anyway just in case?
Deleted Profile and Error messages
Have loaded and lost my info 2x and 3 weeks straight of “memory issue” error messages at the end of attempts at re creating. Tax $ wasted.
Required Utah Phone#??
I’ve been using this app for a year or more now, but suddenly an update now requires that I have a Utah area code phone number? Why? I have an Utah DL, which has no requirement for a Utah area code phone number. Please fix this.
Error on Signup
Verify identity fails due to a memory issue. Not a fan of all the error messages only a minute in.
No longer working
Not a great app, but it used to work. Now it throwa out of memory errors on ID setup after randomly logging out. No response to support requests. Writing to the Utah legislature to allow Apple ID instead of this poorly supported app.
Won’t work
Have had my info uploaded and the app working 2 separate times and then it stops working. Trying to get it set up for the 3rd time and keep getting an error when doing the facial recognition. Something about lack of memory. Carrying my license is a pain trying to use this app is more painful.
