I love this app. I have BPD and the lessons in Uplife help me get through my life.
No free trial? Disappointing
This looked interesting … at first but then I couldn’t access any of the content before paying a subscription. This is really disappointing and not user friendly.

Excellent interface and idea
I read through some of the other reviews before purchasing this app. I decided to pay for the full year as the price was right and I’m currently in a phase of learning as much as i can to better myself. This app is easy to navigate and applies its lessons in short bursts with immediate recaps that allow you to reflect on your own personal situation. This app is most definitely geared toward women being the victim in relationships. I think the lessons could be a lot more objective by not specifically referring to each party as “him” and “her” for example. In the chapter about manipulation and narcissism it specifically mentions things a husband would do to manipulate or hurt a wife, but what if i am the narcissist? I find that the way the information is presented sways the reader into only focusing on their partners faults or how they have been previously wronged. Vs. having us reflect on both how we’ve been hurt and how we have hurt people. Overall this app is good and the lessons are informative if you can look at the reflection from a non-objective point of view. I really do think this app misses a very important part of therapy and self-realization by not touching on both how we are treated and how we treat people. It would be very deterring for a man to download this app and see them being referenced as the “villian” (this word is often used in the chapter i finished) Will continue the courses and adjust my review if needed
Best App Ever!!!
I’ve only been using UpLife for a few days now, but I can tell you that this is the best $35 I have ever spent in my life. This app has been a godsend. For the past year, I’ve been trying to find a therapist with no luck. I then went searching through the App Store to see if I could find an app that would help me sort out my feelings and frustrations about my life. Came upon UpLife and decided to give it a try. I love how the app guides you through various Frameworks such as emotional intelligence, which I’m working on right now. The app not only sets the context and gives you examples but also gives you exercises to work that really help you pinpoint what is causing your pain. You immediately feel so much better after going through one of the modules. I think the developers are under pricing this app. Really.
Unhelpful
I paid for the premium subscription after enjoying a free course. I found with many courses, they just miss the mark. Prompts are forced and the courses don’t allow for feedback. Some courses don’t even entirely make sense. I also feel like they focus a lot on negative emotions. The prompts are sometimes hard to follow and are unhelpful. Other apps allow you to try other prompts that resonate more with you if one doesn’t fit your vibe. A lot of courses that are “coming soon” don’t seem to come. There are also no “fun” or cute elements to this app or any kind of rewards system to help motivate you to come back. Some of the meditations are okay, but some of them are a little odd. Overall, I was shocked with this app because it has such high rating. It’s hard to find a good CBT app, and I am still searching for one I like (so far the best mental health apps I have found are Betwixt and Finch) but this is not one of the good ones.
Pretty darn good so far
It’s nice even if it is an “automated” therapy app, it works. I’m on day two and even though I’m still struggling a bit, it’s nice that it helps you write down your thoughts and gives you goals. Great way to take your mind off things especially after a breakup
Not complete
this app ended up costing me over $95 in Canada. Upon using it, there is very few tools. There are very few meditations and there are different areas that you haven’t even finished creating yet so it’s a very bare app. There’s really not enough to go through especially when you haven’t even finished most of them and the content that you do have are only minutes long. So why such a high price for an unfinished app which provides only very short audio clips?

They have sooooo many plan with different and similar prices but no one tells you what each plan contained. Some are buy blindly. Marketing is confusing
Good for self direct therapy… not so good for dyslexia
Pros Love the lessons and paths they have so far. Really enjoyed the ability to select the lesson plan day so the chronological order is actually more a suggestion than a rigid schedule. Also liked the therapy activities were short and well integrate appropriate in the audio lesson thing so it didn’t feel like a hassle or another chore I had to do. Wish CBT had more activities regarding determining and trying out fun activities as a way to healthily transition or engage in something new but that’s not CBT 🤷🏻♀️ Cons: Font and ability to change to be dyslexic friendly not existent I do not suggest CBT for all autistic individuals with highly rational thoughts and processing and overwhelming emotions because rationalizing something that you’re already highly rational on and still highly emotional CBT encourages you that all your emotions even overpowering is valid and welcome which doesn’t really help pairing that emotion down and going over it again and again rationalizing will help but actually if your fear is well founded and you lean in to thinking about it it can often exasperbate emotions also doing more of some fear inducing unhealthy interactions can just be you gaslighting yourself and making it worse… just putting that out there.
Please change the first chapter wording
Literally just downloaded the app and got all excited about it. The first chapter is about self acceptance and it triggered me a lot when they said “to be loved by others you must first love yourself “. This is not a healthy statement and has to be removed from a self help app like this. Many people cannot accept themselves but doesn’t mean that because of that absolutely nobody loves them. It’s a dangerous statement. Everyone can be loved whether they love themselves or not so, really, no need to put more pressure into the users to get well asap so they can be where they want to be. Healing is a long journey and most people are not alone in it but statement like these make them feel utterly helpless and alone >:( I already payed for this year so imma try to put that statement aside and try to enjoy the app, but honestly, not off to a good start.

Why would I join or try something without knowing how it works or anything?! No thanks. The gyms pays off better and is more rewarding. No free trial. Makes you pay after answering the questions! Might as well charge people for the app!
Moving from in person therapy to independent mental health work
I love this app. It has helped me transition to complete independence. I learned a lot of great skills and practices in-person therapy over the 11 years. I have had a hard time finding a therapist in person to help me integrate these skills on a daily basis without the unloading part. In tangent to this app, I use a physical journal and an app called Moodnotes. I hope this app will add a mood tracker in the future. I would definitely say the physical journal will never go as the physical act of writing out my thoughts are probably the most therapeutic for me.
Not beneficial unless you pay
This content and information should be free to the general public. I understand the developers are trying to make a profit but we can deal with ads. Also, wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of the content on the app is written by AI.

Заметила сильно позже, что при попытке получить пробную неделю, возникла какая-то ошибка и списались деньги за тариф на год. В целом, приложение прикольное, но многие функции дико беясчие: нельзя слушать с заблокированным экраном из-за чего сильно греется телефон+зачем мне горящий экран во время медитации, нужно сразу делать задания, хотелось бы уже делать их в конце, а не отвлекаться во время прослушивания, скорость речи постоянно нужно настраивать на каждом уроке, а не один раз и навсегда, нельзя отключить музыку во время практик типа медитаций и аффирмации. Это мелочи, но дико раздражающие, из-за которых желание пользоваться приложением сильно падает, так бесит, что я жалею, что приобрела его.

No trial
They want you to pay without any kind of trial. Then when you click away, they discount it by 50% to make you worried you’ll miss out. That tells me the product isn’t actually worth anything and they don’t stand behind it.

Спочатку мені дуже подобався цей додаток, але згодом коли я дійшла до розділу «мої бажання» я помітила те, що для жінки є лише 1 бажання – бути привабливою для чоловіків. Проте якщо вибрати чоловічу версію, то в розділі «мої бажання» ми знайдемо і що чоловік бажає бути душею компанії, і про бізнес, і про розвиток. Так є пункт про жінок, але загалом ідеться не тільки про жінок. А також в розділі «перехід із жертви до діяча» теж помітила що якщо ти жінка то в тебе проблема полягає у тому, що тобі попадаються погані чоловіки. Ти вибираєш роль жертви і сама себе налаштовуєш на те що тобі попадуться негідні чоловіки. А якщо ти чоловік то в тебе проблеми на роботі і ти негативно мислиш в плані карʼєрного зростання. І от виникає питання, хіба у жінок є лиш 1 проблема – пошук гідного партнера та будування сім’ї? Як от наприклад в чоловіків бувають різні проблеми. Так про жінок вони думають і переживають, але також вони думають і про бізнес, і про саморозвиток і хочуть мати вищу самооцінку. Таке відчуття що розробники цього додатку думають, що жінки не можуть думати про бізнес, саморозвиток і мати проблеми не лише з чоловіками, а і у інших сферах.

I downloaded and paid for the app, once I made a profile and clicked on the chapters it kept asking me to sign up for more for more money. Now I am struggling to find where to stop payment. Garbage

I have downloaded numerous mental health apps with no success. However, I feel this one may be the one that actually works for me. Really happy I found this app.
Terrible resource
It’s biggest flaw is the app assumes you know the key steps to improve yourself and skims over the details that help break your patterns. Impossible to improve when the 1st initial steps of understanding are skipped. This program just falls way short. I’ve requested help and zero response after 3 attempts in 9 days!! Requested a refund - surprise! No response.

Based on adverts, I thought this was going to be something that you click your way through solutions to interpersonal issues. I bought this to preview for patients struggling with interpersonal skills. It was, unfortunately, not as advertised. It’s basically a very expensive series of podcasts.
