Best fitness app
Best fitness app I’ve ever used - showing girls how to lift heavy in the gym
Pregnancy Program
Recommend the free trial first. Learn from my mistakes and don’t pay the annual subscription. Far from enjoyed it. Much preferred the sweat app. The functionality is poor. The recipes aren’t pregnancy friendly which makes that component useless. Wasted $200 for a week of workouts I didn’t actually enjoy.
Changes that would be great! 🙂
Only giving this a 4 star because of this. And currently can’t make too much use of it. Overall the app is amazing! But some of these changes would be awesome to feel like I’m making use of the app entirely! Not only sometimes. Or creating an option for the food part only and tracking intake. 1. The option to adjust calorie intake when not working out or when injured would be really helpful. I got injured and had to stop training, and without that option I noticed I stopped using the app, which is a bit sad because it’s such a great app. It would be amazing to be able to use it as an everyday app, not just when you’re actively working out. 2. Also, being able to add a photo of your food (similar to MyFitnessPal) and have it count the calories instead of having to add a recipe and save it. Sometimes I don’t want to save a recipe — it might just be something simple I eat that day, like beans. Having a quick add button for that day to add or remove a meal just to track calories for that day would be great. 3. I also think there should be a faster option for bulk prepping. I don’t have time to cook different meals every day, so I usually cook the same thing for a few days or a week. It would be nice to calculate bulk amounts without having to click the + sign on each meal. And then a faster option to put it back to one serving after cooking in bulk amounts 4. Since I’m currently not able to use my arms, I’m walking and hiking only. It would be cool to be able to track that somehow and other workouts. I have both the Garmin and Apple Watch. Lately I’ve been using the Garmin. It does track everything on their app. But I would be cool to integrate those workouts in this app if we aren’t able to do any programs that the app offers. This would make everything much easier and reduce the need to use multiple apps. Especially for those who might be injured or just can’t workout for whatever reason 🙂. It also makes me feel better knowing that I have all that in one app and not paying for something I can’t really use right now. The it makes me question if I should cancel the app.
No new features
I’ve been a user for years now but the app is getting stale. The workouts focuses a lot on super setting and HIIT/Hyrox style. The meals aren’t intuitive regardless of macros. Some ingredients can’t swap from raw to cooked (bug) and it’s frustrating when the app session ends and you have to sign in again which is annoying since I use it everyday and it’s especially annoying when you’re half way through a workout!
Great workouts but definitely room for improvement with the features
I really wish you could log your weight/sets to track your progress. Also, the rest timer only works for me if I’m in the app with my phone on which is a pain because I love to use rest time to multitask
Holy Grail
This has been my Holy Grail in my fitness lifestyle since 2018, I am so thankful and grateful I was introduced! Thank you so much for continuing to level up for us Rachel & MWU team 💛✨🙌💋
Wasting Time
There’s a home vs gym workout however the home version still requires equipment. You could alternate the workout, but you have to manually apply the substitute.
Needs to sync with Apple Health
Love the app however, it really needs to sync with Apple health more than it currently does. This would negate the need to manually record sleep and ensure that the workout and heart rate activity can be tracked across both the MWU app and with Apple health. These are only a couple of ways the user experience could be improved. It would also be nice to be able to view the workout as a whole whilst during the workout without having to jump out of it and then go back into it.
Freezes Constantly!
Freezes everytime I try and click on a recipe!!
The app Keeps crashing
I love the workouts and layout of this app, but when you look through the exercise videos it lags and crashes my phone almost every time. Once you start a workout there’s no way to exit to read the instructions about EMOM etc. There was also no option to choose home rather than gym equipment.
Highly recommend
Absolutely love my MWU app! So many options to better yourself and it keeps me accountable!
Very disappointing
I signed up under the impression I would receive the move with us shirt and when this didn’t arrive after 2 weeks of waiting, I emailed the team to ask about it and received a very rude response from the team. Really disappointed in the attitude from your team. The programs are fine for beginners, but I would recommend that people get a pt instead of you want real results. Poor effort team. 12 months later, no response, and the have the Audacity to charge me again. CANCEL MY ACCOUNT
Love it!
This app is awesome and more affordable than others I have used. The only thing I would love to add is a tracking system on the workouts so I could note how much weight I have been using.
Overpriced and Technically Frustrating!!!
While the MWU app has some positives, such as the wide variety of training programs catering to beginners and the availability of simple, easy-to-follow recipes, the technical shortcomings of the app severely undermine the overall user experience. First, the app is plagued with performance issues. Videos lag consistently, and there were multiple occasions where the content didn’t load at all. The weekly workout overview often showed no workouts, forcing me to restart the app several times in one session. Such basic functionality should not require this level of troubleshooting. Another glaring flaw is that the app requires your phone display to remain active during workouts. If the screen turns off or you leave the app—even briefly during rest periods—the workout timer stops, and only resumes when you return to the workout or it might happen that your workout stopped and you need to manually resume the workout itself. This is so frustrating and disrupts the flow of workouts. It’s baffling that the timer or workout doesn’t run in the background. The lack of customization and tracking features is also disappointing. You cannot log the weights you use for exercises, which feels like a bare minimum feature for any fitness app. Additionally, the app discourages switching between other apps like macro trackers, yet offers no in-app functionality to track weights, macros, or even basic metrics effectively. Their recommendation to “stick to one app” feels hollow when the MWU app itself is so limited. Further, you cannot preview the remaining exercises during a workout unless you skip through them, which is a frustrating design choice. Switching between programs deletes all progress, including weight and measurements, forcing you to re-enter them every time you start a new program. This lack of continuity makes the app feel more like a gimmick than a serious fitness tool. Considering the price tag, the lack of technical improvements is unacceptable. Instead of focusing on fixing core issues or enhancing features, the developers appear to prioritize adding more influencer-led programs. For such a significant investment, users have a right to expect a polished, user-friendly app that supports consistent progress tracking and seamless functionality. As a result, I will not renew my membership after my yearly subscription ends. Apps like ALIVE are significantly more advanced, offering Apple Watch integration, weight tracking, and a better-designed workout overview. Unless MWU commits to substantial technical improvements, it simply isn’t worth the cost or the frustration.
App needs to be updated
i’ve used a bunch of workout apps. The workouts are really good but the app is just not user friendly. Not enough options if you need to swap an exercise, and if you do it doesn’t change the warm up set to the new chosen exercise. I use the overview to complete my workout because once you start the workout there is no way to pause or go back to the prior page or even log your weight, and once you log your weight the following week it doesn’t even show, so how are you supposed to track progress if you have to keep going back to prior week?
The Best Fitness App Ever!
The Best Fitness App Ever! Lots of programs easy to follow and options for the gym and training at home. Love it
No flexibility or maintenance mode for annual members
The app has great potential, but the experience is frustrating. Even with an annual membership, you can’t access basic features like workouts or meal plans unless you’re in an active challenge. This forces you to join challenges just to unlock the core features, which completely takes the meaning out of actually doing a challenge. I’ve found myself constantly ignoring challenge notifications just to use the app, and then when I finally join a real challenge, the notifications don’t feel motivating—they’re just noise I’m used to tuning out. There’s also no “maintenance mode,” which would be so helpful, especially for beginners trying to ease into the app or anyone wanting to track meals/workouts in between challenges. It doesn’t make sense that we’re asked about our tracking habits on sign-up but can’t actually track outside of set dates. Paying members deserve flexible access.
App bug
The workouts are great but the app itself is buggy after the last update. I don’t know how to submit a problem about it but what it does is - when you start a workout and go through it but want to come out of it and click pause then end workout it automatically marks it all as complete and you have to re start and click back through to where you were. Hopefully this makes sense and the bug can be fixed soon.
Terrible customer service
App is ok. The customer service team is terrible, sent multiple emails to cancel my subscription and didn’t hear back from them which resulted in another month payment being taken out of my account.
Review - good and bad
The app I found to be easy to use and good content and the meal plans are great to see. However, it was extremely frustrating that it has an auto payment renewal which I was unaware of and yes this was on the lengthy Terms and Conditions although I believe this is not very helpful for most people as I have now subscribed for another 12 months even though I haven’t used it for several months leading up to the auto renewal. It was very disappointing to get an email once I was aware of this and customer services said I am unable to get a refund. Another fitness app I used in the past gave me a refund within 7 days of renewal which was great and showed good consumer support that isn’t just after your money. A little disappointed to say the least.
The Best Work Out App
This app has every workout for every stage and level you’re at, I love that every exercise has a swap option so if you don’t like that particular exercise swap it out, there are time saving workouts and every option is covered. I’ve tried several workout apps & this is truly the best!
Not worth it
Started the free trial, started a program, had a look at the programs. The most stupid programs. Started a beginner program, it was literally just warm up stretches. No weights. So dumb.
love love love!
This app has really helped me get back into the fitness game while also giving me the confidence to learn how to use different gym equipment. Love the range of programs and the option to switch out a workout for another alternative (typically when one style works better for my personal confidence/ available gym equipment). Only downside, holding me back from a 5 star review is the glitch I face from time to time with the workouts section. I often switch around the workout days to better suit my schedule which is fine at first. However, upon checking it again (usually a day or 2 later) it’s duplicated my workouts. It appears it adds them back to the days I removed them from while still keeping them on the days I switched them to. Would love to see a fix for this in a near future update. Thanks MWU team!
A bit misleading
I thought the website was really misleading when it said I would receive 6 weeks of workouts for the 6-week challenge. It’s really only 3 weeks of workouts that are then repeated (and that information is hidden in another section of the website). The program was extremely expensive for only 15 different workouts. The meals are also super repetitive. There are much cheaper options available on other apps that aren’t so repetitive. The one thing I really liked were Lisa’s Pilates classes. They were great! Everything else was really subpar.
Love the hybrid program BUT...
1. Lots of lag and at times videos will not load. It doesn't allow you to flick between apps, effectively pausing the timers when you go to look at another app when you're on a rest time. 2. There's no where to record weights lifted., and therefore you can't see progression and have to run a totally separate app to track your weights. 3. It doesn't automatically track workouts with Apple fitness, so you need to set it going prior to starting your workout. 4. Many of the exercises don't provide appropriate home workout solutions and you'll need some weights/bands or other equipment to complete your workout. If these were fixed I'd happy pay for a full 12 month subscription! It's just not fully there yet!
Really thoughtful app
Have really enjoyed using the app for the past few weeks. I have already recommended it a few times! The workouts and education side of it is fab. The app itself is also great - it works as it should, there are multiple thoughtful inclusions as well - like heaps of choice of workout swaps if you don’t have the equipment/need progression or regressions etc, you can work along in sort of “real time” with the coach which I really value too. It’s almost perfect! Only thing I would change is having a preview of what’s coming up next when the workout itself has commenced (eg in the rest breaks) as I have to skip forwards and backwards to do this but realistically it’s not that big of a deal!
Inconsiderate customer service
I bought the one year membership straight up but didn’t see myself reaching for the app at all in the first week. The app already has a free 7 day trial and I unfortunately didn’t activate it and just straight away paid for one year but once I realized I didn’t reach for the app in the first week I messaged the team and explained and asked for a refund and it was not granted. It’s unfortunate I made a small honest mistake and didn’t try the 7 day trial and paid first and didn’t even use the app in the first 7 days but the team were inconsiderate and just took the money and didn’t even offer a partial refund. I understand it was my mistake for not trying it out first through the 7 day free trial but even if I have paid but downloaded and used the app for less that 7 days it should be understandable and a refund should be granted. Seems like the team is money hungry and has 0 compassion.
Program yes! App yes but things that could be better
Love the balance of the program. The food has been the highlight, practical easy and yum! Excessed my expectations. Love that it changed by the week not the day for most that’s just to impractical to have 8 weeks of daily meal plans to pre so this was a huge win. The workout have a way of swapping so you can track your regressions or progression and record it. Some improvers -When clicking on shopping list feature automatically generates a list but noticed it’s foods from previous or upcoming week, previous apps you can chooses the days of that week your shopping for than it works out the ratios of food and list of foods off that this would be a great addition. - Some more swaps closer to the macros than the cals. - A section that shows your progression on any exercises variation you’ve longed you can click in there and see your rep ranges and history weight wise, I know this been updated you can enter some of these in comments in workouts but not sure when to find them (beyond the whiteboard does a really good version of this with this for CrossFit gyms we all used this for programming and tracking). Over all I’ve used a couple of fitness apps over the years, mainly the nutrition side but I happy give the workouts a go but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed sticking this and balancing my running to my weights.
Cancel Membership
I’ve been trying to cancel my membership since last month and the process is that you need to email to cancel. No one have gotten back to me and I keep getting charged, please sort this out. Now you’re trying to charge me again when I already sent so many emails informing you guys that I would like to cancel my membership. Not happy with the inconvenience of this app.
No response when needing assistance
I have tried to email the team at move with us on 3 seperate occasions over the last 4 weeks about the same issue and have not received a single response back. The program was great but the customer service is very unprofessional and they make it very clear they don’t care for their users.
Love the app!
I love this app. The workouts are great and there is such a variety of recipes. So many programs to choose from. There’s just 2 things I’d love to see added to the app. 1) I would love if you could sync your nutrition with MyFitnessPal or with Apple health so it can import your other foods when you don’t use an app recipe. 2) on demand workouts that are structured the same as the workouts in the program (a list not a video) because I find the videos hard to follow. I think these additions would take the app to the next level!
Horrible auto-renewal payment
I did enjoy this app however I was extremely disappointed when there was no other payment options available, haven’t used this app in a while as I no longer needed it for my fitness journey, the annual auto renewal went through and when I asked if I could get a refund on the day of payment (because I wouldn’t be using the app for the year ahead) I was told that the only way I would receive a refund is if I have an injury. There are so many other fitness apps that allow you at least 7 days to request for a refund after purchase. I found this very disappointing as I was a huge fan of MWU, but their lack of understanding has left me questioning the authenticity of the brand.
hi
mum doesn't think nutrition messersary please fix for mum
Basic and pricey
Honestly, I just find it too expensive for what your actually getting. Everything is just basic calculations based off height and weight. Not from a coach like they make it seem. Check ins are the same and you get no feedback. It’s very much one size fits all programs.
Frequent updates
I don’t like that I have to update the app each week
Fantastic App
Great app, easy to use
Can’t cancel
Been trying to cancel for months now and have not heard anything back from the email. I can’t find a phone number to call and just a little disappointed as payment keeps trying to come out still.
Weight tracking
It would be good if somewhere you could record what weights you lifted in squats and deadlifts and bench press etc. Otherwise I love it
Too expensive
Seems like a great app but way too expensive, very sad.
Pretty App 💗
The app is super pretty and definitely user friendly and easy to navigate! It would definitely be helpful if the app would add not just a check box for each exercise for the workout but maybe a checkbox for each set in that exercise so I can track how many sets I’ve done and maybe a little toggle to turn on/off for an automatic timer after each set is complete! Or something of that sort :) I think that would be so helpful! It would also be super convenient to move workouts from one day to another if something happened where I missed a day but I moved that workout for another day! For example Monday is Glute day but something came up Monday so it would be great to move the Mon workout to Tuesday. Other than that the app is very easy and super pretty :) Update! Still love but would also be super cool if we’re not doing a workout program at the moment where we can still log workouts in, on a blank slate. For example if I finished one program - and am taking a break until the next one but still want to track my workouts, it would be cool to add my workout for Mon with the exercises I did that day. another thing! I also know there is a little notes tab for when you workout one of the exercises but it would also be cool to manually log how much weight you did per set too to keep track :)
Amazing!
Fantastic app! Very easy to navigate. I love that you can easily swap out exercises for other alternatives. Highly recommend for those just starting out, or for those like myself who are seasoned gym goers. Thanks MWU!!
Poor customer service
Easy to join and take your money. Not so easy to get out of it. Never had such sneaky terms with any other app. Buyer beware.
Holds promise but quite buggy
I love the app and think it’s great to combine meal and exercise… it is the best concept of an app out there at the moment. However, there are quite a few bugs in the app that makes the app less enjoyable. To name a few: - When I start a workout, I cannot exit to write my weight and sets unless I quit the entire app - The shopping list doesn’t always update accurately - If I replace an exercise, when I start the workout, it doesn’t always update correctly (telling me I have a set when I shouldn’t have an extra set) I am sure these are eventual fixes so I am still an avid user which is why I have rated a 4… but these really annoy me because it isn’t a seamless experience and takes up time at the gym sorting it out.
Price different on the website
I just purchased the 2-in-1 Booty & Core Program which is $79.99 on their website. But when I was about to make the payment through it said $109.99 so I thought 79.99 was in USD and 109.99 was in CAD but when I actually made the transaction I was charged with $124.29 CAD. Besides 7 day free trial on the app was not working somehow that’s why I just decided to buy the program and now this happens. I am not happy with the experience.
Like but don’t love
Currently doing the reset challenge to switch things up in the gym. I love all the exercises within the program however I sadly don’t like how ‘circuit-y’ a lot of the workouts are, with sometimes 5-7 different exercises within a set. It’s a lot of moving around and checking your phone for what’s next and not always possible to do when in a busy gym. They’re also pretty long workouts, so need to make sure you have the time to get through it all. Not really used the meal plan as such because it’s a bit clunky and not as customisable as I’d like it to be (e.g in an ideal world, you can put in a food item and it will total the c/f/p for you). So am I using this part/getting as much out of this as I’d like to be.. no. This is my first time every using the MWU app, so I’m curious to see what the other programs are like, if I prefer those and want to continue on my subscription. Still love you guys, especially Rach (my forever goals) 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Awesome!!
Great App, helps keep me accountable and on track. Highly recommend.
Not worth giving it a try
I purchased one of the challenge, 1 week it didn’t showed any data, contacted the help / support team it took 4days to solve the issues, so wasted one week there. 2nd week it asked me to update the version tried to update and kicked me from my account when I had 4 weeks left on my pre purchased program. I asked for a refund obviously don’t want to pay for a service when I had to go and come back from the gym because unable to access the app! Not happy and will not recommend to anyone at all!!
Great functional app
Love the app and it’s ease of navigating and the lay out. Don’t rate the programs though
Decent
Good app and recipes are decent (some a bit too simple but useful for when you don’t want to think, it’s there for you). Workouts are good when again you don’t want to think of what to do in the gym. Only annoying thing is that the exercises takes up a few machines and I work out in a relatively small gym and I feel bad hogging the machines. Some exercises don’t permit enough time in between sets to increase/ decrease the weights so that’s a bit annoying but otherwise a decent app
