This has by far been my favorite journaling app because I can combine all my different journals into one app instead of having one for my Morning/Evening pages, one for my gratitude journaling, and one for my weekly reviews. I have one suggestion, though. I would love to see the ability to set more than one notification, as someone with ADHD. Right now, I have to choose which journal I’m most forgetful about and set that reminder and hope for the best with my other journaling times throughout the day/week.
Not good enough
To justify the high price subscription and there are other journal apps that offer similar features for free or cheaper. Unlimited entries without the option of photos just isn’t good enough. Not that you care just saying

I love this app however. there’s a lot of futures not available on here because you have to pay for about half of it. But as far as that goes I’ve made a habit every single day to Journal.I used to write in journals but decided that the app would be more beneficial. That way I’m not wasting paper. It has made it easier to journal every day without forgetting.I like how they have different props and templates.So that it gives me ideas as to what to journal because.Sometimes I can’t think of things to journal. I like how it includes gratitude as well because.I like to do my gratitude every morning sometimes I’ll do it at night time as well.I like how they include templates with a mixture of both nights and daytime gratitude. I just absolutely love how the AI gives me a review of my week.It tells me my struggles but it also tells me the good things that had happened. It has really helped me find my identity. Also in accepting the things that went well and noticing the things that did not go well as well.I like how it gives me a little bit of insight.

I accidentally missed my trial by one day and requested a refund on a yearly purchase I won’t use and it got denied. I would like my refund.
Lost 4+ Years of Journals
I am soo ticked right now, I have been using this app for over 4 years, never really had to log in - like ever, even when switching over phones! Now with some new update I can’t get back into my account, I have tried a variety of emails/logins but can’t seem to get back to wherever I had originally logged in to! I love looking back and seeing trends and how I have grown….but I guess not anymore. Would’ve been nice to have a heads up or make it more obvious the login if one day it forced me out!
I used to enjoy this app.
I used to enjoy this app until using it on the iPad. The app is constantly logging me out, wiping the password or not recognizing my device which is a constant headache. If the glitches are fixed I would definitely give this app five stars.

Doesn’t save
2 entries both lost. Won’t let me add 2 devices. I don’t want to pay and find out this same stuff happens on the paid version too!

Perfect cross platform!
The only thing that is missing is “folders” to separate daily entries, from other entries such as if I want to make a dream folder, or a creative writing folder etc. Looking forward to more updates!
No pencil support
I was looking forward to using this journaling app but it does not allow for Apple Pencil use. I love the pen and paper feel when journaling. When they finally integrate the Apple Pencil then I’ll pay for the app.
good app,should add a tad bit more to free people
I use this app to reflect,as a 12 year old it's enough but I don't have money to afford clearful pro however there are various templates that I consider enough,it even has a free ai reflection system I'd recommend highly
Peaceful - I love Clearful
Clearful gives me a free space, a space to just vent and be myself. No one can judge me on how i feel or what I don’t feel, i love it and I wouldn’t choose any other app! I’ve had this one for 2 years now.

Everything I want in a journal app… but could use some accessibility tweaks
Clearful is an app filled with a wide array of guided journals on varying topics and its developed in Canada! What I really like about Clearful is that it functions quite well with apples large font capabilities for those who have low vision. Accessibility for me is an important factor when choosing apps, especially ones that I’ll be paying over $100 a year for a subscription to. When looking at how the app functions with voiceover, for blind users, the app functions a lot better than other journaling apps available on the market. I would add here that it could function better, but it is functional as it stands. On screen, voiceover does read out the text available, the buttons, the menu, etc. which makes it functional for users using voiceover. There are only a few things on screen that don’t read out with voiceover, and I would suggest that you look into fixing that so that the app is functional 100% for people who are blind. If all users are expected to pay the same price, yet some users don’t have full access to the app, this creates inequity in access to goods and services. Another thing I love about the app are rhe topics for the guided journals. It is clear that a significant amount of thought and care have been placed in developing these topics. I was very intrigued and excited to see a guided journal topic titled “celebrate and contemplate your nation”. It included questions that got you thinking about things like social issues, leaders, issues the country has faced, freedoms and rights, progress, etc…. Lots of care was put into developing these questions and writing them in a way that anybody can interact with. The app also includes cool journal templates like a vacation journal to track and capture vacation memories. Other templates include movie and book reviews, daily lists, gratitude journals, 5 min a day journal, weekly/yearly review, etc. Journal topics span from understanding emotions, creating goals, navigating relationships, to creativity and personal development. In the free version of the app, I was impressed with the amount of templates available to use. You also have the capability to journal without a template. This feature allows users to journal using written form and add images to the entry. Users can also access a wide array of prompts. All of this is available in the free version to a limited amount. Your journaling is also very secure within the app with the ability to enable Face ID once a free account is created. Users who want to add extra security to an individual entry must subscribe to the app, which I think is quite fair. All users have the capability of customizing reminders and notifications and with a subscription you can further customize the theme of the app. Within the settings the developers have also added a space for users to submit suggestions to the developers. I appreciate when developers have allowed space for users to provide feedback, I think this is a great way to engage with users and ensure an app continues to meet users needs. One nifty features this app has is AI integration. With AI the app states that it can provide “deeper reflection and insight and enhance your journaling experience”. When considering purchasing an app nowadays, AI is definitely a feature I look for because of the capabilities it provides. Finally, the app allows for weekly or yearly subscriptions os well as a limited free version. I highly recommend this app and suggest giving it a try. I’m sure like me, you’ll fall in love with it and find revitalized energy for journaling! If you are a user who has limited or no sight, I suggest giving the free version a try to ensure the app can fully meet your accessibility needs. However, I do think there is some room for improvement with accessibility, for instance adding the ability to customize app font size and type, ensuring all app text is apple large font compatible and that the enlarged text is visible on screen across all features, ensuring all items on screen are readable and usable with voiceover (paying attention to app components that are images), the ability to add image descriptions to user added images, ensuring the library is fully accessible with voiceover (sometimes side scrolling lists are not properly usable with voiceover, list form can be more usable), improve the readability of the lightened text sections that give directions for prompts and templates (these sections were not readable for me due to font size and it being semi transparent, semi transparent or lightened text is viewed as inaccessible by accessible design standards). These are just a few areas where I think the app could improve, and would ensure full usability for those with visual impairments. As it stands, your app already shines in not only ther content and tools ir provides, but also in how accessible it currently is. All I am suggesting is you take it that much further and choose to become a leader for journaling apps that are accessible, and help set a standard for the inclusive design of apps. All in all, if you have read this far into my review, I would say that this has to be my number one favourite journaling app. I highly suggest it, and the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars comes down to accessibility. With improvements I would definitely rate this a 5 out of 5. I hope you will take my feedback to heart, and become a leader in accessible app design!

Journaling is a great way to express oneself. Clearful is easy in making this into a frequent habit. Good for the brain. Great app.

Newly introduced subscription model
I completely understand the desire to run a subscription for “Pro” features… but $11.99/m? That’s a bit absurd. As someone who’s been using the app for a few while now and used to have these features I feel like… early users just got screwed out of a great program/app. I would love the ability to TIP rather than be forced into a subscription, or even a one-time-purchase available to users who had downloaded BEFORE the subscription model was introduced would be REALLY cool. Doubt it would happen though… Used to be a 5-star app.

7 Day Trial? Not true!
Down loaded Clearful on my desktop. While creating an account it offered a 7-day trial for PRO. So I decided to try it, though I knew I would probably cancel it before the 7 days because $89.99 is a hefty price tag. I even took screenshots of the offer to confirm that I would not be charged till 7 days later unless I canceled first. Turns out they charged me immediately and there was no 7 day trial. Still waiting to here back from Apple if they will refund this error/scam charge? I assume this isn't intential by the developer, but seems like a big flaw that needs to be fixed.

I am at a loss for words, literally, everything’s gone, I’m heartbroken, I knew I shouldn’t have trusted these stupid apps and just stick to paper… guess I learned my hard lesson, over a month of journal entries, poof..😭🤦🏼♀️😰🤬🤭
