No joy, all frustration
In The Hut there’s a simple appearing puzzle. It’s the very first puzzle. You need a magnet. I have that. I also have the order of the numbers needed to complete the puzzle. But zero attempts have solved the puzzle. I’m not even in the house and I’m blocked from further play. This is entirely frustrating! Absolutely do not recommend this game.

Frustrated!
I wanna like this game and even purchased a clue package because I thought I was doing something wrong. I wasn’t. I wasted clues to find out I had done the exact sequence the clue showed but there is a glitch. In The Disappearance of Mr. Winters, the video recorder will not come on with the cassette clue sequence. I even used 2 clues to confirm the sequence and it will not work. Please fix or refund my money for the clue package I purchased.

I can’t say enough good things about this game. They’ve really put in the time and effort to make the clues hidden and the puzzles challenging. It’s spoiled me though because I’ve played all the games in this series and nothing else measures up now. It’s just flawless. Please make another one soon!

Unnecessarily Difficult
There’s alot going on with this game. I feel like there’s no way to know if you have everything you need from one location. A lot of the clues can’t be collected and are just there as if you’re supposed to memorize them for later while also collecting samples and unlocking codes.
Buttons don’t work
Had to put in keypad numbers 4x and even cash in a hint even though the number was correct all along. Too frustrating.

I never write reviews, but this game deserves one. 5 stars so fun for a free game! Only problem was the translation to English at times. I played this game a little bit everyday for about a month before I finished all 3 of the episodes. Thanks for the game!
Could not finish super glitchy
The game was cool looking, but super glitchy. When I asked for help it gave me clues for things I hadn’t completed yet. Nothing connected properly and there wasn’t a lot of flow.

Ads too frequent
I understand the need for ads, but the ad frequency makes the game unplaying at the moment, which is a shame cos the game seems good. Popping up as frequently as 10 seconds of game time.
Not really great
Not bad, it’s good really but it glitches a lot and pieces won’t go where they are supposed to, so the puzzles don’t always respond appropriately but otherwise I’d give it a 80%

Ads ruin it
You can’t do much of anything without being bombarded by ads. And they’re all very long. Game is also poorly designed, clues are too sporadic and unnecessary. Sloppy execution

игра хорошая, сюжет интересный, но подсказки… когда зашел в тупик и не понимаешь как разгадать пароль от компьютера (к примеру), подсказка пишет следующее: возможно мне следует разгадать пароль от компьютера… или же просто выдает советы к локациям, которые даже не открыты.
Almost unbearable
The only reason I’m giving this two stars and not one is because I can tell there was some thought put into the clues. It’s not incredibly sophisticated and enjoyable to solve, but it’s not entirely junk. The constant ads are a serious problem though and I wouldn’t play anything else from the developer in the future because of them - they interrupt play in a very frustrating way unlike other games that have normally paced ads in logical pause moments.

Do you like ads?
It’s a cool game, the only downside, every time you change location you get an ad sometimes you’re just reviewing the suspects and you get an ad. There are so many ads it’s freaking unreal. I, at this point, don’t even care who the murderer is. Uninstalling!

Broken English
Really, before a game like this is released, you should pay a proofreader (in this case someone fluent in the English language) a few Euros (or whatever the case), to tidy up the often very poorly written text in this app. It wouldn’t cost a lot and would ultimately make the world of difference to the user experience. The use of English in this game is so bad in places that it’s embarrassing. Obviously whoever designed it thought that their grasp of the English language was good enough to somehow wing it. Well, IT ISN’T!!! Sloppy!!! And honestly, even if the use of the English language was properly executed in this app, the script itself also needs a LOT of work. For example, text written by a supposed school principle reads like it was written by a child, including dumb assumptions and logical fallacies that no-half intelligent adult would make. Examples: ‘I didn’t know this kid well’, and in the very same sentence; “I don’t think this guy had any enemies”. Eh?!? What??? ‘He’s dead and there’s a note, so it MUST be a suicide note’. Really? Must it? Okay, ‘principle’. This may seem hyper-critical but it seems like this script was not carefully considered at all, but rather bashed out in about 5 minutes by someone with zero script-writing ability, or credentials. It needed more thought. At first I considered paying the £1.79p to remove the game ads but then I thought, if you can’t even be bothered to write a believable or well-conceived script for this game, or to ensure that the use of language in the game is not full of errors, then I can’t be bothered to give you my money! Aside from that, this game has some good reviews and overall it isn’t the worst of its kind, it might even be one of the better games of its type on the market, maybe. However, I quickly became bored with it and deleted it after just two days. Another criticism is that some of the in-game ‘tips’ were frankly useless and very unclear, again, not helped by the sloppy and mangled execution of the English language! Personally I crave a detective game which focuses on finding and following the clues of a case and cross-examining suspects and witnesses (like L.A Noir), not just solving endless irrelevant puzzles for the sake of it. I don’t expect ultra-realism from these kinds of games but I’m pretty sure real-life (or even fictional) detectives don’t spend all their time cracking endless 3-digit codes and such, ad nauseam. If I wanted a puzzle game, I would download a puzzle game! So the search for a well-designed and well-executed detective game to play on my iPad continues, but this certainly wasn’t it.

Disappointing!
At first the game seems so good and promising, then shortly after it becomes so annoying because the clues don’t make any sense and there are a lot of them that aren’t even needed! It is impossible to solve without seeing the walkthrough! Also even after you make an accusation and it turns out right you find that you haven’t even gotten all the clues! It’s just a mess. The only thing that kept me going and not deleting it is because I had invested so much of my time and was getting mad so I had to see if it gets better. It didn’t. I’m very disappointed.

Подсказки: они могут уйти далеко вперед, хотя в тех локациях ты еще не был. Стою перед чемоданом с драгоценностями на кухне и не могу понять, как его открыть. Использовал кучу подсказок, которые ушли вперед, но так м не понял, как его открыть. 3. И, похоже, его и не надо открывать вообще, это третий косяк. Зачем он тогда в сюжете? 4. Схема списания монет непонятна: написано «подсказка к карточке». Нажимаю, думаю сейчас предложит купить подсказку, а система сразу списывает монеты (а я даже не понял, что открыл подсказку, которая не нужна). 5. До сих пор не понимаю категорию «улики». На них нажимаешь и они улетают в меню. Как их там найти? Или не надо искать? Зачем тогда они, если они не дают никакой информации. И это я только начал играть. И похоже, что продолжить не смогу, см. п. 1.

Dislike
The items you collect have no labels as to what they are and lack direction to what they should be used for. The hints are worthless. The translation/ English is off in a frustrating way. I am to the locker and I did the math correctly and even used clues to verify that I was correct and the lock still does not open.
Nice graphics. Frustrating game.
A lot of the clues make no sense, so play is unfulfilling. Hints are entirely unhelpful. Since the recent update, it’s nonstop ads. I’m deleting it now with three rooms unlocked and completely stuck.

What a fu… this is one of the most annoying games I’ve ever came along. 50% of all riddles and puzzles are just dead wrong, even with the walkthrough you will not be able to solve this game. What a junk. It had so much potential, but making illogical riddles is unforgiving!!!

Great graphics and story but no instructions on how to open the lounge door .
Too many ads
I like the plot it was giving, but there were too many ads. And I mean, these ads were every 10 seconds, literally after every little move. It wasn’t fun anymore because of that.
AMAZING; MAKES YOU WORK/THINK FOR THE SOLUTION!
This work of art is serious. No bells ringing and no maddening interruptions by cha-ching sound effects. The clues are what you make of them. Rake them over in your mind and run through them aloud or make notes. None of the clues spell things out for you; you might need to refresh your knowledge of Art and Physics, for starters. I printed lots of the problems out (the graphics are gorgeous and fit perfectly with the story)and got a pencil & graphing paper; freely writing things out helps with my logical thinking and memory. I did NOT finish the game in, say, a couple of hours. The graphics and layout of the rooms are significant as they are valuable for reminding and also for getting an understanding of just what happened to Alex. I love the bold characterizations used with members of the school faculty.😉😏

Has the potential to be fun but the hints aren’t even helpful at all
Bit of a mess
This game isn’t terrible, but there’s very little direction of what you should do, and it’s kind of a mess. The hints are so useless. Very rarely you may get one that helps, but after trying to find the password to Alex computer, you watch an ad to get a hint and it will say something like “I hope I can get the password to Alex’s computer” That’s 80% of the hints, just useless thoughts that provide no help whatsoever. The items you get have no clear objective. Some I’m not even sure what they are at all. Like a random wood stick, or these rectangular things - don’t know what they are and I keep trying to use them but nothing works. You should at least label the items so it’s clear what it is. Additionally, there’s no way to save papers you find so that you can use them. Like the diary page on the table in the art room, the students exam grades chart, etc. Why can’t I pick them up and carry them around?! Or at least take a picture of them so I can use them later without needing to go back and forth? Some of the puzzles are poorly done. Poor English translation in places. They go back and forth between using a 12 hour and 24 hour clock. The investigation notes aren’t thorough, and you can’t take your own notes in the game (aside from writing them down IRL, but the whole point of the investigation tab is to have the notes on suspects stored in the game). The approach to the detective work is unrealistic. For example, you find cotton swabs in random places in the rooms, that you then use to analyze the blood. Not exactly a good investigation technique. Why does the detective need to use the schools broken microscope? Why does he have none of his own supplies? Things like that make the game feel dumb.
What happened to my coins!?!?! 😡
So at first, I was like “ok, this game will be fun!” Wrong! I have tried, but I have noticed I have gone from 50 coins to 22 to 2! Also, it’s so confusing sometimes and just not worth it for me, please fix it!

Love it but a bit tricky have to paste the wall and very hard to do. But you don’t take the money and gun from safe. But love the game😃
Awful
I play puzzle solving games as my go to games, this game has absolutely no direction. Your literally tapping the screen a million times and when you watch a video to get a clue the clue is of no help whatsoever. Honestly I think the constant ad watching without help is just a way to create revenue for the developer. Don’t download unless you want to be annoyed..
Hints
This game would be a lot of fun if the hints actually gave you any idea of what to do next. The items you pick up also don’t give you much direction to what you should do next... not a clear game at all.
Frustrating puzzles
Like the other negative reviews said, the puzzles/clues don’t make any sense so it’s impossible to solve this game without a YT walkthrough or getting hints. Good concept, poor execution. Also the English could use better translation in some areas, but it’s understandable overall. More frustrating than fun overall.
