The True Best
This app does everything. Blackmagic honestly is missing so many features found here, I never find an app that comes close to the capabilities. The only thing I’d want would be iPad monitoring. THAT would be game changing.
LUT only in Display mode
The option to apply a LUT directly to the video while filming no longer works. LUTS can only be used in display mode, but no longer in record mode. Furthermore, there is no support for remote control. As a result, I no longer find the app as good as it used to be and can therefore only award a maximum of 3 stars. What a shame! Thank you to the developer. Everything is working perfectly again now. For that, there will be five stars again! Unfortunately, I have to significantly lower my original 5-star rating. Yesterday, I recorded about an hour of video and only realized once at home that all audio tracks contained nothing but noise and were therefore completely unusable. The footage was recorded with an iPhone 17 Pro in Creative Mode (format 3840x1606 - 2:39:1, 709 10-bit native at 25 fps, AAC audio with the internal microphones). It seems that, unfortunately, Cinema P3 cannot be used reliably in this way.
Restore manual settings on app start bug
The exposure bias changes on app minimize even if restore manual setting on app start is enabled rest settings remain same. Please get update for this
Severe Frame Drops
I tried this app in daylight and good conditions and found it really good. I love the variable ISO no other app provides. But the other day I had an assignment and tested it at night. It resulted in severe frame drops and stuttering which made the footage unusable. Please look into this issue as it’s a real good app.
Super App, however i miss the front camera
I have been using the app for quite some time now. I loved it all the time. However, now I miss the use of the front camera. I feel forced to move back to FilmicPro (Iphone 16 Pro / IOS26.2)

Amazing app with a ton of great features for shooting video. They just added support for ProRes RAW which now competes with BlackMagic Camera app. Will be using Cinema P3 exclusively! Great work!!!
Awful issues with audio out of sync
I have wasted so much time and footage over repeated issues with videos being recorded out of sync with audio. Disappointing as I hoped this could make for a decent replacement for filmic
Large file size
I dont know its my issue or App's , the file size is extremely large for the same settings of video as compared to Black magic app. I user all P & C but size is lqrge.

Mixed up fps in settings
The app is really good but where I set 30 fps, it records 30.01 fps. I need certain 30 but not 30.01. It’s interesting that application has choices 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 48, 50, 59.94 and 60 fps but us I mentioned before it records 30.01 instead of 30. I can’t use this app only because all my footage 30.
Very Impressed!
Extremely impressed with this app! It’s very powerful and extremely intuitive with manual controls and interface and has lots of deep options! Of course comparing to the free BlackMagic App, all I gotta say is for the devs to keep going and make this as good as possible in every way and it can really be a leading contender and hopefully take off! Solid work guys! I bought the Pro as support for this!

I have bought the Pro-Tools upgrade as well as the LUT-Update but the camera still does not let me record without sound (that’s crazy for a pro app) also it still doesn’t let me record slow motion even if it has presets for it.
Superior Video Capture App
CinemaP3 has been the most consistently reliable, functional, and feature rich video capture app for me. I have used many video apps starting with Filmic Pro and lastly Blackmagic Camera (BMC). I liked the BMC app’s interface/layout and many supporting online tutorials; however, it kept letting me down with poor exposures. Mostly due to inconsistent zebra and scope output and exposure shift after shutter release. As a left handed person, the only improvement I would like to see is the ability to rotate the iPhone 180 degrees and maintain the same layout. This is a superior product, and I think others should know and not get too caught up in the popularity of some lesser apps.

Great app with a great flaw
Amazing app. Loved the design and all the cool features. Worth the price. However, The camera latency made me uninstall the app. This is so severe that I have to guess my screen while I move my camera, the actual display is about couple of seconds late. Even in standard stabilization I see noticeable latency. Wish the frame analysis worked in the background while real time camera view showed on display. That would make this app a 10. I will prolly come back and change my rating to 5 star and reinstall it. But for now it is just unusable. *I am using iPhone 14 pro.

Weird frame rates
I’m getting weird frame rates with the current release on iPhone 16 Pro Max with anything other than h.265 HEVC 422. For 30fps ProRes 422 with Apple Log at 1080, I get presented with a 30.49fps footage in premier pro which creates a step in playback. Same settings in Blackmagic gives me 30fps in PP. even the h.265 above is reporting as 30.01fps. Does not matter if I record to external card or internal memory.

There's no point in having a "freemium" model if you're going to lock in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Don't steal my sensor space. I'm not going to even bother testing out your stupidi app after that.
ISO/SS Missing
I have no ISO or SS controls on right side. Reinstalled and rebooted iphone 14 pro.
When it works it’s awesome but that’s few and far…
When I first installed this app, it worked great. Updated to the pro version and it works every now and then. What mine does is records for about 10 seconds, maybe 15, and then my screen goes blank, the app crashes and I get a Media Services Reset -11800 error. I cannot trust this app to work at all. I’ve tried to contact the developer only for my emails and web contact forms to go unanswered. It’s almost as he is not supporting the app anymore. Gave it two stars because the few times (very few) it does work, it’s awesome. It was a toss up between one and two and the coin flip said to give it two.
Constant Crashing
I continuously run into an issue where i cant record anything. I press the record button and the app just crashes over and over, even if i restart the phone. The only solution is to play with random settings like switching the lens and eventually i am able to record again. I hate this flaw as the app is wonderful, but this headache has caused numerous wasted minutes. I contacted the support email but never got a reply as well.
OMG!!!!
I’ve been using this app for some time in 2024, and kinda went back to using other apps I liked & kinda left this one I unupdated & sitting on the apps shelf of two of my devices.. I recently came back and updated it to see all the new improvements and I must say Wow!!! I love the new interface!! Everything functions much smoother!! I was blown away! I will now start using this more frequently. Thomas has been putting in some real work behind the scenes!! Forgive me if I ever doubted you! Cinema P3 is King!!! My only con was I found where I could import presets but not Luts. It’s all good. I can still fix this in post which is the best way to do it anyways. Thank you for such an amazing app!!
Love the app, but…
Highlights are blown out in Rec709-10bit (I know, I had to). Ruined my day, week, maybe even month. What a shame. Same shot was fine a couple of weeks ago with the Blackmagic App and even the stock app. What a shame CinemaP3.
Need Apple Watch Controls
Amazing app and hitting the spot as I wean off of Filmic Pro Legacy, but I rely on my Apple Watch as a remote control for most of my videos and would love to see this added. Thanks!
Disappointed
The app offers tons of control and the videos look great, but it was until I purchased the Pro version that I noticed that videos are often recorded at a frame rate lower than the one specified. For example, I set the video format to 4K 60 fps and many videos were recorded at 41-47 fps and that resulted in footage that was choppy and as such, unusable. This is unacceptable especially considering I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro Max, which has more than enough power to record smooth video. I reached out to the support team about a week ago but never got a reply.
Glitchy Video
If you record anything longer than like 15 seconds the video get glitchy with dropped frames. I need something way more reliable

So far so good. Just a quick question for the developer: I cannot for the life of me find the ISO setting on this camera app. On the right side tool bar is an icon that is a black and white box with plus/minus symbols. Is this the ISO? When I click on it I get a slider that’s labeled “bias” ?? Plus, is there a way to lock in the ISO? If so, how? Thank you! Forgive me I’m a newby!!!

Este app parece ser tudo o que você precisa pra gravar vídeos com boa qualidade. Com a versão grátis você já consegue resultados com cara de filme com a combinação 24qps + 1/48 velocidade de obturador. Isso até você ver que os vídeos mais longos congelam do nada e perdem o som. Estou num iPhone 12 Pro e já usei Filmic Pro e Moment, e é a primeira vez que vejo problemas assim.

Better than everything else
I use this app daily with an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it is awesome. The developer is also very involved if there’s any issues. I once noticed the gain setting messing up and emailed him and there was an update within days fixing the issue and an email from him directly. Another thing to consider is this app has custom log profiles and free correction luts for those profiles. Above and beyond expectations.
Davince wide gamut export LUTs DO NOT WORK!!!
They just produce dark and even more flattened images! AND YOUR HELP PAGE DOES NOT HELP! I followed you recommended node setup and the videos are terrible!!! If I’m applying a LUT to get to what the camera saw, then the LUT should do exactly that with no further grading! Also what about working in a color-managed workflow? How do I apply the LUT in that scenario? I used to tout how good this app was but I simply can’t do that anymore!
ONE MAJOR THING NEEDED..
Great app and always improving. But the photo feature needs to be totally remove all together for this app to be taken seriously as a cinema camera app. No one will ever use this to take photos, there are much more capable dedicated apps for that. This app should be to capture video only and have it's UI and development efforts put exclusively and only into that.

The only REAL replacement for Filmic Pro
Since Filmic decided a long time ago that they didn’t care about their customers (and we ALL tried to warn them about their terrible business decision), I went looking for an alternative. I don’t even remember how I ended up finding this one, buy I’m so glad I did. This should be so much higher on the charts, but I just don’t think enough have discovered it yet! This app is fantastic and fully featured everything I used with Filmic. Not only did I end up paying for the pro upgrade, but I have also purchased the optional LUTS tools as well. Very happy to support this app creator considering they didn’t pull a bait and switch like Filmic.

I really love it but, currently…
The autofocus isn’t very reliable. I’ve tried AFC but the focus doesn’t seem to change very reliably. DJI OM6 gimbal support would be amazing too with the addition of the focus wheel on the gimbal. Currently on the 7 day trial, the two point above make me hesitant to buy right away. Other than that really great app with LUTs for different colour profiles.
Love for the app but iPhone 16 issue
Probably on your radar but I don’t see anyone who mentioned it. On the iPhone 16 pro max, the camera will “stutter” occasionally when panning any direction. Previously on iPhone 12 Pro Max I never saw that so I’m wondering if this is an issue with the new phone. Smooth panning is such a huge thing in this app and why I still use it when I need it! Keep up the great work!

you can only swipe through each individual video or photo instead if seeing the gallery/grid and you can not delete. this means i have to go back to native app to view/delete. is this correct???
