This app is terrible, very clunky.
useful but could use some UI tweaks
app is easy to use - but there is no way to adjust the font - it’s really small and thin. it doesn’t follow with the ios text sizing and there’s no adjustment possible within the app. i have to take screenshots to zoom in on the text - but luckily the app doesn’t lose its place
Slow app
App is so much slower than what they had before and now on many billers you have to select the day to pay the bill on bill pay when it used to be automatically chosen even though you could change to any other day of your choosing. Sometimes hard to find things you don’t always use. More confusing than it used to be.

Fees
I have a big issue with fees. I have no control over companies trying to take payments out when I don’t have the funds I am on social security and I’m unable to keep a balance and those $2 fees add up fast. I don’t see any other banks charging this fee please help me
Needs to work, not as good as it could be
Comparing to other financial institutions that I am with this one is by far, probably the worst in my portfolio. It takes too long for the transactions to go through when you’re sending. To the account and they want to fee you to make the transaction speed faster. honestly, I’m not too fond of that. The interface is made complicated for transferring funds from and or to accounts. The app puts to much emphasis of where the money is coming from or going realistically, I should just be able to select some accounts with some nicknames I place for my convenience. Also, I just got build a new charge. It’s called a mailed statement fee. Which if you ask me, it’s ridiculous. I never asked to be sent mail on statements let alone I’ve never known as financial institution or corporation. That would charge you for something you didn’t sign up for it’s ridiculous. I would not recommend doing business with GTE financial. The only reason they get two stars is because they have Face ID that’s about it.

I’ve been with GTE a long time and they’ve always been easy to work with when I have problems. Someone is always available and they answer my questions quickly.

Avoid at all costs
Impossible to get ahold of on the phone, automated system just loops you around then tells you to call back later. Sparse locations. Rejects payments, causes you to pay fees with other institutions.
Not useful
The app is only good to see my car balance but for some reason doesnt allow me to pay and always have to go online. Whats is the point of a bank app you cant even make a payment on ?
Bugs
Works well but definitely over the Zelle bug!! Please fix this. I’m forced to use Zelle through GTE but the app just crashes when I try to load it. Using Safari defeats the whole purpose of having the app. Very frustrating!

Auto loan usage
This thing sucks. I don’t want to use it for banking just to pay my loan and they make it to hard. It was easier to just do billing payments through my Chase banking app then set up external transfers on here.
Payments in the app
Not a bad way to do things, the company has been good to me. With that being said the app itself makes it harder than it should be to make a payment. Even using the online site has its issues.

I love GTE as a bank itself. The actual has too many glitches which makes it hard to keep track of my finances.

Nothing works
Can’t buy stuff online, I get a message saying I need to contact bank, bank says I need to contact merchant. Can’t upload card to iPhone wallet, same scenario. Set up a transfer to another bank then got hit with a bunch of fees when the transfer didn’t work.
Headache
The institution for the most part isn’t bad…BUT…there too many issues with no resolution, especially when it comes to the mobile app. No one knows enough of anything to follow up even with constant complaints. The ATMs are always down with one issue or another it’s absolutely frustrating!
Fix recognize phone in app
I would’ve gave it more stars but every time I go in it says it doesn’t recognize my device. I push the little button over and put in the code. It sends me the code, but it continues to do this so it’s very annoying. And not practical.

The app always says timed out when I try to go into app
Can’t log in
Since May 23rd I haven’t been able to log into the app. It just says “notice request has timed out” right away. Credentials are correct because it works using browser and I’m on the latest iOS version. Emailed bank and they were of no help, just told me to call. Why don’t they call me to answer the question. I also don’t want notifications on, stop the pop up!!

This is the 2nd time that transferring money between internal accounts has timed out and not completed the task.

This app is a mess
Never works, it’s always requesting extra security clearance like a code etc. many times I get errors even using it from my own phone. I have called GTE several times .

I’ve been with GTE financial for over 30 years and I have enjoyed their service and products. Keep it up guys!

I will attempt to login hundreds of times and despite being connected on my account using my login and everything it constantly gives me a request timed out and i have to wait to have access to my money

Closing accounts asap- app is clunky never works and they nickel and dime you for everything. Never thought I’d say I prefer a Wells Fargo account to this nonsense. No tellers. Stay far away
