Lack of controller support
This game is fun, but would be even more fun if controller support actually worked. Additionally, would be fantastic if support actually helped instead of just redirecting everyone to an almost useless support page!
Fix Online Play
I’ve played this game for quite some time now. I’ve made it to Rank 17 in Tour and did so on hard mode. The game is great. If you’re a long time enjoyer of HotShots Golf franchise games then this one is for you. The reason for 4 stars and my biggest complaint is online leaderboards. There are people obviously exploiting gameplay. It’s not possible to achieve -18 through 9 holes. This needs to be fixed and regulated so it makes people want to play it. You can’t beat exploitation nor is it fun to play against.
Rampant cheating
While I find this game entertaining, I think it’s blatantly apparent that they allow cheating on the platform. In my latest World Tournament I had a round where I scored a hole in one on both par 3’s, eagles on all par 4’s, and albatrosses on both par 5’s and I ended up with a AA rating. It is physically impossible to get a lower score than that unless you are cheating! Better yet if you try clicking on the support for the app link in Apple Arcade it takes you to a page that’s in either Chinese or Japanese. Do better guys!
PvP matchmaking doesn’t work
Title says it all. Prefer to play against real people b/c NPCs just cheat
AMAZING GAME, NEAR PERFECTION!
I’ve been playing this game for a long time now, and I must say that I really don’t have any gripes with it. As a matter of fact, if there was one only one suggestion would be that there is a feeling that the courses and characters are becoming outdated. There needs to be a complete huge update with double the courses and double the characters because I’ve unlocked all the character outfits and all the courses and there’s nothing else that I can do at this point other than just compete in the world championships so I would love it even if there was a second version of the game if that’s what they needed to do for them to come out with more characters and more courses not just one here and there (and it’s been awhile since that even happened). Love the game, make a new one or have a huge update to double the courses and characters! Maybe add new third alternate uniforms.
This App Cheats You!
If you’re doing good, the app will start to cheat you out of shots that you make, as though that makes it more fun??? It’s difficult enough to make your finger track perfectly, but, when your finger tracks right and the app misses left…or when the vacuum cup spits your ball out, it just isn’t fun! Not to mention distance control being absurdly unpredictable at times. You people need to rethink your place in our lives. If your app isn’t fun, it gets deleted. * Consider giving access to all of the courses for practice from the beginning. The practice part of your app is by far the most enjoyable.
Ball flight cam needs help
Great game. Unexpected precision with the Apple Pencil. Only complaint is the ball flight camera. The one where the camera is stationary 50 yds either side of the fairway. Landing often obscured from view due to cam elevation too low.
Multiplayer is unplayable
This looked very promising and through the tutorial it seemed very much like Everybody’s Golf. But we tried a multiplayer with 3 people repeatedly and just couldn’t get to play a single game. Either phones wouldn’t connect or the game crashed and threw people out after a round. Hopefully the bugs will be fixed so this can be a 5 star game!
Mixed feelings
I want to love this game but the controls are driving me nuts. Every time I put my finger on the screen my whole aim point shifts left 10'. Then I adjust and when I pull down to swing the aim point shifts left again. So I try resetting just to have the game think I made a ten foot shot, adding strokes and costing me tournaments. I have tried the 3 tap method but that is just awful. Please fix the controls so I can play this! Also I am beginning to think Apple arcade is just full of broke or lame games nobody wants. The end of my free trial might be the end of Apple arcade for me.
A Hole in 1!!!
A very fun follow up to the Hot Shots golf franchise. There are downgrades but for a mobile title this is excellent! Smooth gameplay and a great variety of modes make this game Tee-riffic to play alone or with friends!

They should of left the option of being able to use your fingers shoot rather than the new update where it’s by getting the timing down for the shot.

Got to your level 17, and now it doesn’t let me earn more stars. Kind of takes the motivation away.
Was a good game
Not sure what happened, but as of 11/17/23 the game will not open on mac. Deleted the game and installed it again through the app store same thing will not open.
Fun and frustrating
Although usually fun and entertaining to play, there are times where the unpredictable behavior is absolutely annoying. The most recent occurrence was on a par 3 vacuum cup game. The tee shot was perfect and even without the vacuum, the ball was slowly heading right for the hole. Then as it hit the hole, it was spit out, landing 10 feet away. I came within a hair of deleting the game because of this random program behavior.
Flick Shots
Love this game, used to play something similar on PS4 and it’s even better as a mobile game. That being said, the new update has ruined the flick style shot. The UI is only a cm or two long making it extremely hard to control distance, spin or aim shots
Still Not Five Star Yet
I really enjoy the game. However there are a few areas where improvement could be made. It is very difficult if not impossible to apply backspin when using the Flick option to hit the ball. I think it should be made easier. You have made Backspin easier for the 3Tap option. Why can’t you do it for the Flick option ? A number of the male characters have huge pointed noses. These could be better sculpted to look more realistic. And some of the male players don’t have any fingertips, which makes the players look a bit weird. I think 18 hole courses should consist of 18 different holes, and not just the same 12 holes repeated. It would make for a more realistic and satisfying experience. The maximum stats that each player can achieve should be made available to the user. The black shorts that the female players wear spoil the look of the female characters. Shorter black underwear would look far better. In spite of those things I still enjoy playing the game, but the above improvements would make it a five star game for me. I have reduced my star rating for the game from 4 stars to 3 because none of the above suggestions have been taken up since my previous review which was made quite some time ago now. So a bit disappointed in that. After all what’s the use of writing a review if none of the suggestions you make are taken up.

Looking for a simple game… title very misleading.
One character
Please developers create a One Character Tour mode. I love just playing with one character instead of a team concept. Don’t get me wrong, team concept is good but One Character mode is way better!!!
Poor design choices to start game
When starting the game, it explains that each hole needs a different character to play. The game then proceeds to start you off on a nine hole course with only four unlocked players.. you have to use generic filler characters which can’t upgrade and are bad to start. it feels unsatisfying to play the hole badly because the game has decided to just add five useless and unnecessary characters to the game. The games mechanics seem sound but such a basic start doesn’t want me doesn’t make me wanna continue. I’m sure once you get a team and replace those 5 slots the game will be much more satisfying.
Awful Mechanics
As barebones as they come, a stripped down version of hot shots with terrible physics that half the time won’t work when it should. The three shot control scheme which in theory should be simple, fails when the touch controls wont work. Putting is absolutely impossible because your shots will stop in front of the pin or curve all the time prolonging matches when you should otherwise win a match. Instead of allowing you to stick to a character you like it forces you to play as most of the them which makes some of the tougher courses almost impossible.

I can’t stop playing! The graphics are great, the characters fun, and chasing achievements keeps me hooked.

Who Gave This A Green Light?
What is the Venn diagram overlap between people who love the game of golf and people who love anime? The Good: + Solid (for Apple Arcade) swipe to hit your shot arcade golf gameplay… how much of that is because this literally is the only option for that on Apple Arcade should probably be mentioned. The Bad: - Somehow the most tedious tutorials I have ever been subjected to- directed instructions while you perform the task is always superior than being forced to watch a video. - One of the busiest, most cluttered UIs I have ever seen, you would think you are playing a mobile Battle Royale while the devs try to convince you to mine crypto in the background with what these menus look like. - The worst Voice Overs I have ever been subjected to. Broken glass in ears bad. I’ve also never seen Selena pronounced “Suh-lenn-uh” until playing this game. - In what world would I want to dress up the crew of anime characters you’ve forced on me after being absolutely manhandled on hole 9? - Seriously, I have to know, what is the Venn diagram overlap between being down with shooting 9 holes and then being forced to dress up the kid who catches Pokémon in a new pair of pants?
The hit button is terrible
I love the game but I play on my phone. I like the tap shot but there are so many times I miss the shot button by just a little, it’s way too small. Would love a way to change size of shot button.
The best golf game on iPad!
This is hands down the best golf game for iPad! The graphics are great, and just enough cartoon to keep your interest. It reminds me of Hot Shots. The controls are easy, and the animations are funny!
Crashes constantly after last update!
Now the game crashes before I’ve even got to the point of playing a stroke! Tried closing everything else down, as suggested on their website, but still crashes.
Confusing and fun
I like this game because it’s fun to play golf on your iPad without having to go outside but this is one problem actually two the problem is I can’t get the golf club to move. It says swipe down but I’m having a problem with that also the characters I think this game needs more characters but otherwise it would’ve been pretty fun.😺🤗
Don’t play it if you are a real golfer
I used to play this game a lot and enjoyed it, but as you improve, the computer becomes better than any pro on earth or in heaven. If you get close to winning, miracle shots are played by the opponent and weird impossible bad luck with lies, wind, etc. happens to you. The developers must not be able to stand having your skill defeat their little egos. Sorry, but 21 years of coaching and 55 years of playing tell me when someone is a cheater…
No score registers on world tournament.
I keep getting a communication error on world tournament also the game does not show me KP 1 distance very annoying glitch in the game.

Why do I have to tap the screen seven thousand times between shots? I get it, you’ve made some nice animations, but I just want to play some onscreen golf. You are kidding me. I’ve just lost six hours of play because I use two devices? Awesome.
Fun Game but have run into an issue
There is no picture when I open the app. I hear the sound, but the screen is black. Both operating system and app have been updated.
Norman-esque meltdown
Gameplay ceased during the last week of October. My Apple TV app was loaded, offloaded, deleted, and reloaded. The game will not function. The tv goes gray, and the startup screen will not appear. I downloaded the app to my iPad so that my data would be retained. The game tries to function on that platform, but when navigating from feature to feature, the screen again turns gray and the app times out. The app has not received an update in over a month. The promise of online head-to-head matchups has never paired me with a competitor. The last review (prior to mine) was early September. ClapHanz has always been a class act, as far back as the early Hot Shots franchise. I get that there are only so many things you can update within one game, especially a cloud game where download capacity could be limited. But to find the game totally non-functioning and zero data within the review or developer notes is disappointing, and using a one-star review as my only means of reporting an issue feels outright unprofessional.

Awesome Game
Love this game!! I just wish there was more characters! Would also be cool if you could get club upgrades as well. My only complaint about this game is that the online matches either don’t work, or nobody is playing? Every time I try to do an online match it just searches for an opponent constantly and I’ve never yet been able to match with an opponent. Not sure if that feature is bugged, or if this game just isn’t popular enough for anyone to be playing at the same time as me…
Blank screen iPhone 11 Pro
Past few days it’s just been a blank black screen on iPhone 11 Pro, deleted and reinstalled and still persists
More Tour Mode Levels Needed
Love the whole hot shots golf franchise and this version is pretty good, but was able to finish the tour mode in about a week. Hope more levels and boss characters will be released in the near future.
Closing account
I don’t want to, but money keeps coming out of my account with nothing to show for it so I’m going to have to close my account. I love the characters and the courses, but nothing has changed in well over a year and yet, you keep taking money out of my account. So even though I got so far and have accomplished so much, I’m not going to keep paying for the same material. I’ve asked over and over again for new material, but nothing’s changed. So unfortunately I’m going to have to delete this game so don’t take out any more of my money.
Good game but only 17 levels
Seems odd to develop a game and the stop and grade17. It’s like it’s not finished. So u can continue to play the game thru rank 17 but there are no more ranks so seems a waste of time. Just weird that it stops and u can still play for points for each course but they aren’t added anywhere. So just sayin seems unfinished:(
Great game but nowhere to go
I gave this game 4 stars only because it needs an update with more characters and more courses. The game play is 5 stars for sure! I hope you are working on an update because I’ve reached the end of the game. I’ve mastered tour mode and score attack. Now I’ve played survival mode so much that I really need a new update.

Boring, boring, boring. If all you want to do is hit the ball then this is the game for you. I gave it a go, it’s just boring rubbish. The tutorial is a joke. There are far better golf games out there. Ones where you can do things like spin control.
Awesome Game
Great golf game, only real issue I have is the way the game handles unlockables. Unlike claphanz previous golfing games, this one does not have a shop with cool and interesting things to buy like music, character art, etc… It is now just a grindfest of playing the same holes over and over for a single cosmetic. Please bring back the shop and add more holes! Thank you!
Physics????
Good game overall but the physics of the game are very poor, when you take a shot it gives you a guide as to how much power to give the shot and even when you hit it exactly where it says, the ball does not fly as far as the game says it will. This obviously causes your score to go down as you have to take more shots
Fun game
This game is one of the better golf games around. Fun yet challenging and the characters are interesting and quite diverse. I would have given this game a 5 star, but it has one major flaw. The triple tap only works about 30% of the time. It is rather annoying . You will be going along, and then it quits working. You have to go out of the game and come back in and even that isn’t a guaranteed fix. You can go down a club, but you will always come up way short then you had hoped to. Other than that, love playing this game. Hope you can fix this, then I will give it a 5! Update. The triple tap is getting worse. I can play a round of real golf faster than a round of this. I change my rating to a 1 at best.
