Nightcam Camera: Night Mode reviews
4.1 out of 5, based on 8,496 reviews.
What people like
- Works well for capturing the moon and stars
- Developer responds quickly to support requests
- Easy to use once you figure it out
What they complain about
- Images are grainy and worse than phone camera
- App crashes or freezes frequently on older phones
- Very difficult to understand how to use it
- Exposure times are too short for night shots
It can also be used as a dinghy

Review request every shot
The app has a lot of pretty good settings allowing a decent control, but some settings will adjust by itself while you adjusting another. The most annoying part is almost every shot. The app is asking for review. This is probably the worst idea for the nature of the app. It is when you spend 10 minutes setting up the shot and trying to make multiple attempt, but screen get disrupted to prioritise requesting a review. And this is after paying for the pro version. Nakuu frustrating and actually made me look for another app after all

Good Start, Good Dev Support, Missing DNG
The app does a good job of getting quality photos, and the dev’s support is speedy. So far I’ve only been able to get jpgs out of the app, which might not be an issue for other people but I need support for higher quality formats like raw dng. I had an issue trying to find the lifetime purchase option because when the app launched during the trial it offered me a subscription only. But the dev was quick to refund and explained where to go to find the lifetime option. I’ll be keeping my eye out for an update that adds saving in dng. That would make this a must have app for me. For those that don’t need dng I’d say this is a really good app, the UI is a little buggy and I’ve had some crashes, but the dev is responsive so I think this app will only get better and better.

TRASH App
Bought a month trial and the app NEVER opened up, wouldn’t recommend on buying it at all as it doesn’t seem to work

Wasted money.
This app is not user friendly. Got it to try and get night sky photos and it was very hard to figure out and get settings to where they were suggested. Pictures still came out grainy and unrecognizable. The app is also extremely laggy and slow to respond. I’ll be deleting.

So freaking cool!
Got this for blood moon and lunar eclipse tomorrow. Got in some practice shots but will get the tripod out tomorrow. Works great!
Paid for it and still sucks
I paid for the yearly subscription and yet, it still isn’t good

Should be better!
Tried it on my 15 pro max, app is too too too laggy, nothing worked for me and it then freezes on me, and the original night image from iPhone works better? Even with pro subscription its darn too laggy! Any feature i try it lags come on!

这款与neuralcam哪个好？
Not bad!
This is the first nighttime photography app. I’ve tried on my new iPhone 15. Unfortunately this phone doesn’t have an astrophotography function, like my old Google pixel. The default app only has one available setting, an auto nighttime function, which does a decent job of capturing the moon and planets. The pro version of this app looks excellent with an almost unlimited feature set, but the cost is more than I’m willing to pay. For now I’ll continue to explore the auto nighttime function. Great app and easy to use.
Program locks up
I purchased the program in order to photograph the Percy’s meteor shower. Unfortunately, the menu and operation parameters are difficult to understand, and does not completely have instructions on how to perform the necessary task to capture meteors. Also, during the second capture of an image, the system locked up during the processing portion and never recovered, so I cannot use the program unless I uninstall it and re-

Glitchy
Tried to get pictures of the blood moon. Moon mode was too dark (couldnt see the moon for black screen) and other modes the moon was over exposed. Access to photo album is glitchy. When viewing a picture & then deleting, the app would sometimes delete the next picture in the album instead. I am deleting app.

Love the app but disappointed that I can not purchase the lifetime app. So I will not be purchasing. Loved using it. Let me know when the lifetime is available. Until then I will cancel my trial.

Only 1 sec max exposure?
Sorry, but a 1 second max exposure time is not going to be enough in many nighttime shooting scenarios. Really lame you can’t go longer than this, especially when you have tripod mode enabled. You should be able to do longer than 1 second. Two stars

Good camera but free trial doesn’t work or is a scam.
Downloaded this app tonight, specifically for the Aurora feature for tonights event. Clicked on the Try for 3 days offer and was immediately charged full price of $7.99. Needles to say, this has been nothing but an absolute downer for what was supposed to be an awesome night of finally seeing the Northern Lights.

Don’t be scammed into annual subscription
I ended up subscribing in order to try the app. It didn’t enhance lowlight photos or help capture the moon at all. Grain is out of control. Apple refused to refund me.
Ugh!
I got this for a high intensity aurora night. My regular camera takes better pictures.

Absolute Garbage
Don’t bother if you are wanting to see the northern lights, the Aurora tab didn’t work, my iPhone did a better job
Keeps crashing
Not too impressed. I purchased the lifetime option but honestly the iPhone native camera resulted in better quality images. I’d like a refund :( I put two stars because the trial and purchase worked seamlessly but the quality of images are not good.
暴光模式，好用啊。
