Keeps it all organized
I love this app. It reminds us what the book is gives us lots of notice about our meetings and let us rate the rate it as a group
Terrible App for Organizing
I just moved my book club group from Meetup, and as an organizer, I have found every part of it frustrating. 1) Barely any good features with the Premium version. There’s not even an “Add to Calendar” feature, which is standard on most event apps. The lack of features at that pay level makes organizing a group unnecessarily difficult. 2) “Pro” bating at every turn. I’d go to do something and it would let me do the steps and then when I tried to Submit, it’d tell me I had to upgrade. 3) Even the emails are click-bait. Got an email to upgrade to Pro at half price only to find that I had to give them money upfront to upgrade at a prorated rate and then I’d get half priced when I RENEWED in a year. I’m glad I only shelled out $60 for Premium instead of getting Pro. Though, I wish I hadn’t done that much. I haven’t even had my first event and I’ve already cancelled the auto-renewal. What a disappointment. I had over 500 people in my Meetup group and this is a sad replacement for a thriving group.
Great organization
The app is absolutely exceptional. I’ve written for a suggestion on attendance reporting which would help me as the organizer keep track of who is participating and who is not.
Disappointed with updates
I’ve used this app for over 2 years to track my reading goals and get a yearly bookend. But with the update it’s no longer free to set reading goals
Awesome concept.
Poor follow through
Love the app
I love this app for my book club! I appreciate that even in the free version I’m able to see discussion questions to help facilitate and lead discussion. It’s fun to be able to read the book. See when book club is going to meet. And to add books that we want to read.
What the heck happened?!
Been using this app since the beginning of 2026 and was able to message our group and individuals but now we can’t even do that anymore?? This app was already glitchy, this makes it even worse and we won’t even be able to use the app for its intended purpose anymore. What a scam.
Great
I have invited all my friends to join. We have enjoyed being able to keep track of what everyone is reading and what they feel about their current book.
Glitchy and no help
I paid to upgrade. It worked at first but now when I invite people it doesn’t work. Customer service isn’t responding to my emails.
Ease of use
We started a new book club of 7, fairly technically savvy females, and we don’t find the phone app very user friendly. The app should go right to bookclub info first, than the book club in general. The polling is especially complex, it appears that originator of the group can see the poll results better than the rest. All in all not my favorite
Best App on earth
This app facilities real community and great times like no other I’ve seen. Perfect app for attending and managing public Bookclubs. Great for making friends
Customer service
I ordered a book online, tried to cancel the next day and could not get ahold of anyone. I emailed the help line twice which said they’d get back with me in 4-7 business days. I never heard a word. No way to get in touch with anyone.
Amazing Book Community App 🌸
I’ve had a great experience with the app since downloading it!
Goodreads
It’s new to me so far. It would be great to link to other apps such as Goodreads
Free Version very limited
And paid version is very expensive. Will be on the lookout for price point change.
Bookclubs
The best way to connect with friends
Too many layers
I am a Pro Plus member and I cannot create a link to my next club meeting without the dang system asking me to reenroll in the Pro Plus plan. Good grief!
Great app
Love it
Book Club
I like this app. It’s simple easy to use and makes communication easier. I like the ability to add the book, notes, polls and food sign up. My only cons are that I reached out to customer service twice about a need and even though an automatic response said my message would be read and responded to, I never heard back from anyone. Additionally, our book club thinks outside of the box and it would be nice to have more flexibility with some of the features.
Great
Easy to use. Cross content from meetings to polls. Suggest talking points for certain books. Easy to invite others to join.
Overpriced and Unresponsive
Initially I saw the utility in this app for a book club but, Discord, or any other online community hub would be just as good. Their customer support is nonexistent and their upgrades aren’t worth it.
Great app with one minor annoyance
This app is easy to use, well organized, and makes it very easy to see upcoming meetings to help prioritize what to read, which is harder to see on the website. There is one small but frequent annoyance that kept me from giving 5 stars: for some reason, whenever I open this app, it mutes or greatly lowers the volume of any podcast or music I have playing. I’m not sure why this happens since the Bookclubs app doesn’t have any sounds that I’ve noticed, but if this could be fixed, I’d give it 5 stars.
Enjoying but limited
Love the app and the ease of use. Only downside is the multiple levels of payment. Lots of restrictions for free version.
Great app
This app has worked great for my book club. Even the free version has enough perks to well run a club, but the cheapest paid version does so much more to effectively manage my little group. It’s very useful for polls and meetings.
interrupts media if you open it
it almost seems like when you play media while in a call…?
Thanks
It’s a nice app, has some potentially nice features however, could not get the poll to work. The push to upgrade to premium is a little forceful. The free version won’t even let us upload a background photo. It would be nice to use for a few months before upgrading but the free version is very limited.
okay, glitchy at times
sometimes glitchy pls fix
Great for my book club!
Has cool and convenient features that have been helpful in my book club
Was great!
Used this for two book clubs in the past. The poll option was included and now it’s 12$ a month for the most basic! Finding a new one. Lame!!!!
Pretty good
Features I wish it had: ability to easily see the page count of books listed in a book club’s polls, tags on comments by book club admins
Cost prohibitive
Like the app very much but not the cost . We have opted for another app - free.
Keeps us organized and inspired!
Love it.
App stops music
Please fix this issue! It’s been going on for months now. My music will cut off every time I open this. FIX IT!!
A little awkward at first, but alright.
This book club app was chosen in a hurry as our ‘blue hearts’, m/m romance book lover’s group sort of came together on the fly. It’s alright. The free version is a little awkward , and I have yet to try the paid version. I was surprised to see that the heading of ‘book recommendations’ , is taken up by the app’s general book recs, instead of allowing our member’s to recommend books to each other, which is what I had expected … but we solved that by enabling each other to view our ‘ favourite books’, in settings. When we want to chat in real time, we just hop into discord anyway. It’s been nice for choosing our reads and for seeing when the group discussions are appointed. It’s nice to be able to post book links with the covers. I like that we can reply on threads re: the chosen book we read, We haven’t attempted to use different book club apps yet, and a suggestion I would like to make to this app is perhaps allowing wallpapers and offering different backgrounds. Still figuring it out along the way, and curious to see what features would entice me to pay monthly for it.
More to come later
I haven’t used this enough to give a proper overall rating. But I love that members can message in the app for all to see. This saves us from emailing, which is a huge plus. I wish that I could add “date read” to books that have already been added (past reads). But it appears that I can only add date read when I add the book, not afterwards. The profile feature is great because members numbers & address are there for all to see.
Love this app!
It makes organizing and communicating with my club members so easy. I love it here.
Great
Great app connecting you with others to talk about your favourite thing!!
Requires constant updating
I’m not sure if this is normal or not for an app but literally every second time I open it, it has to be updated.
Tamara Gray
Best book club app. We use it for the Khadija collective and it is just awesome. It’s accessible too!
Mostly good
Everything is good except the chat function
Does have any books in its library????
Asks me to select my favourite books but when I search sharp objects by Gillian Flynn it doesn’t come up?? Annoyinggggggg I don’t want to select the 3 novel package because I don’t want people thinking I like gone girl 😩
