Intrusive ads
The ads are worse now than ever! There is an intrusive ad after every single game screen. The ads are longer than it takes to play a screen. One ad in particular (for Booking.com) goes like this: starts with loud music so you have to mute speaker symbol, then a countdown timer to X. Tap X…another countdown timer appears, do this at least 3 times, then on tapping X it brings up screen to take you to app store, tap “done”, another countdown timer, at the X tap and it brings up actual app store page, tap small blue arrow upper left to “back to Wordplay”, another timer then same taking you to app store, tap blue arrow again, another countdown timer then finally tapping X goes to game screen. Every ad does similar thing….tapping after timer always brings up another timer. About 80% of ads have unwanted music and are video types. Ads for other apps are equally as long. One ad touts an app claiming the camera on your phone could do your pulse, oxygen level and blood pressure….if you check out this app it ONLY does pulse rate…other data has to come from a pulse oximeter and BP machine (if you have these) and you just log data onto app. Out of interest, I checked some other of the advertised apps (like the one to tell you if your plants are sick, one to identify plants, one to identify if by photos of your jewelry if the stones are real gems)….none can do as claimed, misleading ads/apps! If we’re going to be INUNDATED by ads, please vet them for quality! I like word games and would rather pay a monthly fee to play game without interruption! During the regular weekend tournament it’s now very difficult to play properly because it’s 70% ad time and 30% game screen time! Please developers…make this game fun again! A few years ago you got sometimes 5 game screens between ads, and then the ads were simply a screen and an X, no timers. I’m more likely to see those than the current ads that make me so angry I’d NEVER consider those products.

Pretty good game, but what I don’t like, is how every game these days, likes to charge the earth 2 buy xtra chances of winning etc, and that rlly winds me up. Things are expensive enough, I would of thought 💭 there was a better way, to give pple, who play regularly. Otherwise, I am quite enjoying this, as a change from the hidden mystery games I also play.
Inzwischen ein Werbespiel mit Rätselunterbrechungen
Ich habe das Spiel geliebt, aber inzwischen kommt man vor lauter Werbung kaum mehr zum Spielen. Nach jedem 3. Level kommt eine dieser nervigen Werbungen. Das ist einfach unerträglich. Ich werde mich schweren Herzens leider nicht mehr auf dieses Spiel einlassen. Gäbe es einen Betrag zu Bezahlen, um werbefrei spielen zu können, dann wäre das für mich in Ordnung. Aber so kommt keine Spielfreude auf. Schade! ☹️

This used to be a fun game! Now it is beyond frustrating because every few games you have to watch an ad! These are sometimes two minutes long, you can’t bypass them, you try to x out and off to the Apple Store you go and they often freeze so that you have to restart the game. It’s bad enough that there are ads all over most games but the way this game stops every few minutes for an ad makes it virtually no fun anymore! I stopped playing awhile back but figured enough people would have complained by now that they would have changed the way it worked but alas this last weekend’s tournament was worse than ever!

Hi I was so chuffed to get to level 216 only to find that I now have to start over again, after sending you a e- mail saying that it wouldn’t recognize my e-mail address, can I retrieve my level somehow?

Great brain grower
I suffer with Multiple Sclerosis and I find this game not only helps me to relax but it helps me to get rid of some brain fog.

I downloaded game yesterday, it seems pretty good and I am enjoying it. It seems to get difficult fast. I enjoy the rewards and points. Overall I think it is good and challenging.

Une catastrophe en français
La sélection de mots français est catastrophique. Presque tous les mots avec accent manquent, et donc comptent pour une erreur à chaque fois. 20% des mots sont d’un usage inexistant pour 99,9% de la population. Au final, le jeu revient à taper des mots au hasard en espérant que l’un d’eux existe, même si l’on ne s’en servira jamais de toute sa vie.

Dreadful change to Friends section
If you change the friends screen back to the original instead of the disgustingly childish and difficult to use buggy version I will be happy to give a better rating. You have completely ruined this aspect of play across all G5 games since the friends section is common to all of them.

Got to level 1600, did update ad keeps asking me to play same level and not letting me move on. Over a week now, still chucking me off at level 1600 ... going to delete soon if not sorted. Game updated and IT STILL WONT LET ME PAST LEVEL 1600!!!!!!!

Seit Monaten passiert nichts
Spiele seit fast 1 Jahr. Bisher machte es auch Spaß. Nur leider gibt es seit Monaten keine Turniere mit anderen Spielern und leider ist seit Wochen kein Update mit neuen Leveln verfügbar. War es das jetzt? Spiele nur noch die obligaten Bonuslevel bzw. alle paar Tage die Herausforderungen. Langweilig, langweilig, langweilig und überhaupt keine Herausforderung mehr, daher nur noch 3*** Weiterer Kritikpunkt: wenn man Bonuswörter findet, gab es bisher für jedes gefundene Wort 1 Extrapunkt. Dieses System wurde überarbeitet. Ab dem dritten od vierten Wort schließt sich erst der Kreis u dann gibt es erst 1 Punkt. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass die Werbung seit meiner Nutzung extrem zugenommen hat und nun permanent Unterbrechungen folgen, hat das Spiel zusätzlich an Reiz verloren. Schade, obwohl großes Verständnis vorhanden ist, dass die App gratis läuft und die Erfinder Geld verdienen wollen und sollen, ist die zunehmende Werbung unerträglich geworden, wobei anfangs nur ab und zu Einblendungen kamen, knallt es nahezu permanent und unterbricht den Spielfluss. Insgesamt gutes Spiel, leider aber wenig reizvoll bei Dauerwerbung und mangelnden Herausforderungen!

Abgesehen davon, dass viele deutsche Wörter nicht vorhanden sind, dafür aber unbekannte Abkürzungen oder englische Wörter, lässt sich das Spiel jetzt gar nicht mehr starten, weder auf iPhone noch auf iPad mit jeweils aktuellen IOS... 😠 kann also wieder gelöscht werden...

Yet another update failed
Me again. Yet another update within a few days claiming to have fixed the “freezing” problem ... ... and yet another update that’s failed to do what it has claimed. This problem has now been apparent for many weeks and, despite many updates, it’s still occurring.

This has happened a few times. I played both days on the weekend and today it says the chain was broken. I know it wasn’t. Not a big deal to me, but it might be to some people.

Latest update
Your latest update introducing a ‘tournament’ is not working correctly. I played 15 times and the game then crashed. When I went back in I was down to 14 so I played 15 again and the game again crashed. This has now happened 6 times thoroughly spoiling my enjoyment of the game. Please fix this bug.

Fun and educational but an occasional frustration when real words or not recognised and I suspect American English rather than British English is the default setting.
