Save your money, they cheat
Don’t bother playing this game….the user base is tiny so expect long wait times to play against the same people over and over and over again. Only a couple clans ever win family land wars and they do so by cheating the algorithms. If you do play be sure not to max out your rooms and Roger’s. Stay at level 85 max so you too can cheat the system. Unfortunately for many like me who upgraded to level 100 you will never compete with level 85 cheaters. Maybe if you spend thousands of dollars…..maybe…..the support is nonexistent, just robo letters in response. They will tell you it’s just how the game is….take your money and most importantly your time elsewhere. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Update June 6, 2023 The in game support is nonexistent…..the website support is pointless. If you have a problem they will say it’s not our fault. Constant game crashes, battle wins don’t count….unfair matchups galore….i have played for a long time but still lose to players with a quarter of my power…..no rhyme or reason to anything….biggest ripoff game ever! Avoid like Ebola.
The ads are a bit difficult to navigate
The game is fun, but the ads take some time to figure out how to navigate. They hide x’s and you have to know the pattern. Once you get that the game is worth playing
Daily Rewards Glitch
Huge American Dad fan, but this game is kinda in the middle for me. Like other reviews mentioned, this game is NOT for those who lack patience. Seriously heavy grinding is involved…and in this game that means logging in frequently to make sure you can collect rewards and advance your characters by tapping. If you can afford the cheaper packs in the beginning, like Reginald the Koala, that would be super helpful. I might start over just to be able to purchase. I made it to level 30 fighters, and have not been able to collect a few of the free daily rewards. Starting from the Roger and that sweet looking gear. I checked outside and my inbox and I’ve got NOTHING! It was working in the beginning. I might continue playing until the last day rewards to see if I actually get it. A 5 star Roger seems very much worth it.

some more free to play friendly events have rolled around, another big issue ignored is the trophy system, i am at the same amount i had at sr6 as an sr11. need to do a hard reset on trophy's get those inactive ones out that make no sense in top 100

Not what I expected
I thought this game would be like Simpson Tapped Out or a town building game but it was not. Very boring couldn’t play it for longer 20 minutes. If I could I’d leave a half star review.

3 day upgrades
I’ve downloaded and deleted this app twice already. You need to upgrade your rooms and it eventually takes 12 hours to 3 DAYS to upgrade. I don’t understand. Don’t you want your users to play the game? Why such a long wait? Will not download again, it’s not worth the wait or headache.
Good game just a cash grab of course
Game quality graphics idea everything‘s really good top-notch even a lot of stuff that’s interactive in the background. It’s just the fact that it’s not a game that you hop on and play for an hour. It’s a game you hop on and play about like 1015 minutes a day and it’s also like so worth it to get the premium and buy this and buy that to the point where it’s almost not worth it to play free but I’m just gonna keep playing free and see how it goes cause I’m having fun, but I have to keep on hopping off for an hour hop back on for 10 minutes stuff like that.
Love this game
I downloaded this game a year ago or so and it was my favorite game for a while. I spammed played it for months on end until my old phone shut off long story short I have a new one and I recently downloaded the game back but I want to start over. I feel like switching accounts or even just being able to delete your account and start from the beginning should be a easier option in the settings instead of waiting up to 30 day for you guys to approve it. This game is absolutely amazingg and one of the best games I’ve played mobile and I’ll wait I hope you guys put this into consideration though😞

Ok game but….
Its an ok game but it defiantly feels like its pay to progress literally, like the labyrinth you can never find players make it solo labyrinth, 5star rogers extremely rare with a good skill you basically have to buy them, creating stickers like damage and stuff overly expensive i cant lie it puts you off playing like its a mobile game like no one wants to do any of that!
Fun but money hungry
The prices for things are outrageous. These are digital items that are not real world goods. I love the show, but I'm not paying $20 for a single weapon

such a fun game
i love this game so much, yes you have the usual money grabs that every game has and sometimes yes i’ll fall for it and give in but in the end it ends up being worth it. With all the events and games they have within the game itself you’re always gaining gear, weapons, power up etc which gives you advantages when you need them. The game is just also fun if you love the show, being able to give all the rogers their own names and outfits is so fun. Along with having different jobs for certain rogers. All in all if you love the show and want a fun phone game i recommend this one, it takes a bit to get your house going and build up your squad but once you do i promise it’s worth it
Drowning in ads
The game is okay but it pops up ad after ad after ad. I get they want to make money but the whole game is a cash grab. The pop ups to buy golden turds and all other misc. items aren’t rewarded ads and sure there is an x button but they pop up like viruses back to back they aren’t on occasion they ruin the game.
Bugs
I don’t know what is happening but I’m not getting any war notification after the war is over an I’m not receiving rewards after watching ads it’s happened a couple time now
Pay to win
Sadly, much as I was drawn to this game by the fact that I really like American Dad, this IS a pay-to win game. Sure, you can grind your life away and slowly plod up the ladder at a greatly reduced rate…. But in order to actually get anywhere you need to buy (with real money)…. Faster healing times and bonuses - money. Better combat items - money. Upgrades to rooms - money… There are regular updates where new angles are added to the game, and the only way to get involved is to spend real money to get a foothold. Once you get into this game and grasp the mechanics, it’s pretty plain to see how this all works. You earn bonuses and in-game money when you take part in various combat games; you save these up and use them for upgrading rooms and making your characters stronger….but once you hit a certain point you become a target for attacks by other players and robbed of what you have earned…. You can retaliate but it’s highly likely that the attackers are considerably higher level than yourself and you’ll stand no chance whatsoever. This is a game where only the whales win. There is absolutely no chance for genuine advancement through honest grinding. Think long and hard before investing time and money into this trap. I question those who are phenomenally high ranking players and maxed out to the hilt…. That would involve not only a huge amount of realtime hours, but an equal level of financial investment that most ordinary wouldn’t (and more than likely couldn’t) afford to do.

First of all I love this game it’s amazing I jsut wish it didn’t take so long to build and upgrade things because I feel like I can’t even play the game and I jsut wish it was a little shorter to build and upgrade things overall. Second I want to say please make more campaigns because the campaigns are great and challenging jsut wish there were more because I finished the campaign in like 5 or 6 days so please jsut add for campaign. Third I want to say that the time for tournaments is really long so maybe shorten the wait time between rounds. Finally I want to say this game is awesome again these are jsut some suggestions I’d really like to see in the game please keep adding updates and I will suggest things game to other people. Please respond if you can.

More bugs than what’s in your back garden
I do enjoy this game, yet the developers refuse to acknowledge the bugs in it. Draws in wars, bugs when you attack people in pvp, bugs in malls. I could go on and on. Yet they want you to spend 100s on in game items. Fix your bugs first and then it’s considerable
I’ve played the game since it has come out, but
this game has turned into the most pay-to-play game ever. This event has got to be one of the worst, I got the quantum tower two days in a row. I’m not spending money to play an event or play a piece of the game. The squad power matching is so trash that my clan just disbanded, despite being 45 on the leaderboard. I’m overall just disappointed at what this game has become.
Why am I so addicted?
Here’s the premise of the game: Update your bunker to generate more resources to update your Rogers to win more battles so you can update your bunker to generate more resources to update your Rogers to win more battles so you can… It sounds like a tedious grind, but I’m hooked anyway. They regularly introduce new gameplay modes and new gear that keep things interesting. Watching ads gets you extra perks, but it’s always optional. It’s not pay-to-play because you can still enjoy the game without spending money, though you do reach a point where a premium membership definitely becomes worth it. The game is a little bit play-to-win though, since it gets a lot harder when you reach the upper levels and are up against players who clearly have a LOT of money to spend on special gear. But you can still enjoy it as long as you don’t mind not being at the top of the leaderboards. Only two complaints: One, there are some parts of the game you can only access if you’re part of a sizable clan, so if you don’t want to play it as a social game, you miss out. And two, some of the ads are obnoxiously long. Many of them are ads that will loop four or five times before you can close it. Also, my Reginald the Koala keeps getting stuck. I’ll find him just standing still in a random room while all my resources are piling up. Is that a glitch or is he just being a jerk?

This is not like that one game that you have to use your BRAIN for the Apocalypse. This game is just PAY TO WIN game. I wish you only have to pay for is are the skins. American Dad's characters got a lot of different versions when they are looking different or wearing other clothes. But it's impossible not to pay for what should already be a given. Cool game but not the GAMEPLAY.

I love the game but ever since the last updates the ads are messed up. Yall keep giving ads that give no rewards. When it’s fixed I’ll give 5 stars but for now 3 stars. It was a great game until the update. Everything is buggy and it’s made the experience pretty bad. I’m genuinely upset that I’ve watched 6 ads back to back that give no rewards. FIX THIS BUG!

If that’s the case this button should “show map” :( thanks for ruining the game with an useless update Edit: the war that goes through 2~4AM eastern time is over and the button keeps broken, it doesn’t apply to the next war, says it’s been already applied
A game to get teeth into
5 stars for game play, creativity, laughs, connecting with other players. Dev response is quick, helpful and friendly when (rare) bugs are on the loose. Big step up from Fallout Shelter, many more options to expand your Roger’s. Got a great clan to be part of with a community happy to help with top tips. However, 2 stars for the profiteering. I am in the ‘developers need to be paid’ camp, I am also happy to invest in such a well thought out game with plenty of new events to keep game playing fresh. Not keen on how frequently players are encouraged to spend and how much. Adverts are optional, but to advance the game quickly they are a great option. But the cost of some of the in game offers that would give you an advantage can be wild.
Ripoff in both ways
I have read the reviews and played the game and all it is is just a ripoff of FALLOUT SHELTER which is a much better game and you can’t argue when you level up Roger’s it is literally the same animation from shelter.Its annoying and makes me think that this was just a cash grab.ALSO the in game purchases are insane the second you start you are bombarded with bundles and saving for premium or some other thing like a companion costing ten real dollars.if anyone reads this do NOT get this game and just get fallout shelter

I bought the pass and 2 boosters so I can try to get all the rewards but after completing the whole pass I got a total of 9 boxes but only 1 special reward, I thought this was a joke since I spend money just to get common stuff, I really liked this game but after this I don’t think I want to spend any more money, please give me a refund 😂
Love the game and details
this has been my fav show since 2016 some episodes are best little house of horrors, bush comes to dinner, the missing kink, b12, hot water, and for whom the sleigh bells toll i can go on and on! hopefully the creators of The show see this and know how much we are excited for the 20th season! this updates remind me of the Obamas come to swim. But yes i’m so glad i came upon this game been playing since last year august!
This game rips you off
The rating system for rating an opponent’s team is completely broken and makes no sense. You might think you are high level, but you keep getting matched with low level teams that wipe you even though they are rated LOW. No matter how much money you spend on this game, you will always get wiped. I WISH I NEVER DOWNLOADED THIS.

At A Certain Point You Have To Pay To Play
This American Dad game gets to a point where you almost have to pay for premium to enjoy it. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to upgrade rooms, soldiers, and powers. Without premium you will quickly get to a point where it will take you days to upgrade anything or even get through one level on the story mode. I understand you don’t want us to run through the game too quickly but it shouldn’t take so long to make so little progress in the game. By the time a 3 day upgrade is complete you will just have to upgrade another part of the game that will take 3 more days. People are going to step away from the game the longer we have to wait to make progress. Don’t make it too easy, just lower the upgrade times.
Unbearable Gameplay in Free Mode
I love this game— but I wish that in order to actually have fun you didn’t have to pay $5-$6/month for the Premium account. I would ask just at least make a few tweaks to the free experience to make it actually bearable. Biggest discouragers in the free version are that every battle only lets you watch it in 1x speed which feels like 0.25x. And then after the battle your guys take 25 million light years to regenerate to full health to do another one. If they at least allowed 2x speed and faster regeneration after battle it would be playable for free. Then when you do pay for premium the 4x speed makes sense and is nice— but what doesn’t is that it STILL takes time to regenerate your squads health. It should be instant healing after every battle. Doesn’t seem like much to ask for when you’re paying them $60+/year if you’re consistently buying premium.

⭐⭐ A Great Game Being Held Back by Pay-to-Win Decisions
I’m writing this out of genuine concern because American Dad! Apocalypse Soon has the potential to be one of the best mobile games out there. The humor, the art style, the base-building, the combat—everything is incredibly well-done. That’s why it’s so frustrating to see the game held back by how aggressively pay-to-win it has become. Progressing through the campaign or keeping up in events shouldn’t require players to spend money just to keep pace. But right now, it feels almost impossible to move forward without buying whatever the game is selling at that moment. When core gameplay is locked behind purchases, it stops being fun and starts feeling like a paywall. I’m not against supporting a game I enjoy—far from it. I just think the balance is way off. The game pushes purchases so hard that it overshadows the creativity and effort the developers clearly put into it. If the team adjusted the progression system, offered more fair ways to earn power, and reduced the pressure to buy packs, I truly believe this game would thrive and the player base would grow. I’m leaving this review because I care about the game. It deserves better than to be remembered as “great, but ruined by pay-to-win.” I hope the developers take this feedback seriously, because the foundation is amazing—now it just needs a fair and enjoyable path forward for all players.

As per title stats, I do love the game but for me the unbalanced combat wether it is down to a cheaters account or pay to win gems is absurd, i've spent hours + my hard earned money on this game which is fine, but i refuse to spend any more simply due to the above. A bit more context, how does a 4.7m player(ME) lose to a 2m(them) player when each and every stat of my 4.7m squad is higher, armour is better, I have stickers an they don't, I also have a hero and they do not, oh and not to mention I have an extra roger. Yet i still lose when they're attacking my house so all those house defence upgrades are useless too, then i try to revenge with combat powers and i lose once again. I think it's a joke personally unfortunately. Sad thing is, maybe you will look into this case/figjt but honestly this isn't the first time, this has happened multiple times over and over again. Not only with myself but with clan members too, there is a clear problem which is going noticed/unnoticed. Reading the reviews i'm leaning more towards noticed/ignored. I have a screen recording of the 2m player which i mentioned above but I do think it's irrelevant due to so many people stating the same, perhaps it's time to start looking into the problem rather than asking people to reach out? Though me personally is looking for you to reach out. Also not to mention that we have 25m players showing up in invasions how am I suppose to defeat those heaven knows when i'm 4.7m , but I understand, some are needed for balance. However had this been fair game i'd of probably kept paying, I'd like to state that I don't often try to reach out on games, I normally walk away but because i enjoy this a bit more than others is why i'm trying before the walking away. To note i'm very reluctant as it seems this is persistent and not a one time thing. Perhaps i'll come back and add to this review on conclusion.
