Card play is not following standard practice. Strange card is charged and hasn’t been playable since and no updates to fix bug

Not what it used to be.
This used to be a great app, but it no longer allows you to change your conventions, it doesn’t tell you vulnerability, and you can’t choose what category you want (NT hands, Slam, etc.). In addition, sometimes my robot partner goes crazy and bids like a maniac. Wish the original programmers still owned the app.

I have bought the bridge baron gold app previously for around $25. Supposedly for unlimited play. Now it's not working and a pop up says I have to buy it again! What's up with this Apple?? Fraud?
Game resets at Random
We have contacted support at bridge baron about the issue of coming back to the app and the previous game and score being lost. We have had no response from support.
Disappointed
Good game with TERRIBLE SERVICE. The price has gone up while the options go down. I used to be able to select conventions but no longer.

Can't see options at top with my new IPhone 17.
Some issues but a good game product
The bridge board does not fit on the new iPhone setup correctly. Some of the top words are covered. Also sometimes the game just “sticks” and you have to restart. And the option of “setting” the contract (changing partner’s bid) does not work anymore.
Used to be great
It was a great bridge app with all the features you could possibly want. Then they raised the price and started taking away features and the bidding and play got stupider. How could you go backwards when AI should lead to an even greater product.
Vulnerability not shown
vulnerability is never shown. Family sharing on Apple MAC doesn’t work.

This is an excellent bridge game. I’ve been playing for 43 years and I love the way Bridge Baron is designed to play.
Rotate when North is declarer
When will be it fixed? I been waiting over two years!!
Last upgrade faulty
After last upgrade, I can’t see two left-most cards of South’s hand because West hand is covering them. Please fix. Thanks
Order of play is wonky, can’t delete games
When North is declared, the app switches the player from South to North so you can play the hand, as it should do. However, this switch confuses the app so that the order of play in future hands is counterclockwise from then on, until the app is exited. Most distressing. ALSO cannot delete games played. We should expect more from a subscription-based game.
Unbelievable
Fun to play but not flexible. Cannot load biding rules. For example, it seems to be impossible to to play a convenient minor.
Can’t see the vulnerable hands on bidding screen
Removed one star! Please fix the display of the vulnerable team(s) on the bidding screen. It always shows W/E as vulnerable (displayed in red) on all the deals. The ‘Review’ screen does show the correct team vulnerability, buts it’s annoying that the ‘Table’ screen displays it wrong.
The old Bridge Baron was better
Since they upgrade BB the algorithm is really bad.
Cards are blocked in the South hand
The new version is not possible to play as the West hand overlays the front 3 cards of South’s hand With 3cards covered for South it is not possible to bid. I don’t understand why you changed the format. If it is not fixed soon I will need to stop my subscription. Please answer this review.
Update ruined app
I paid $20 years ago for unlimited access to this app. I made the mistake of updating it yesterday and not only is it now a HORRIBLE visual experience, it took away my paid access and is requiring I pay a monthly subscription in order to use the app. This was an excellent app that was destroyed by my poor choice to update.
A bug that needs fixing
After an opening lead, each player should play in order clockwise. But sometimes bridge Baron reverses this order where each player plays his or her card in a counter clockwise order. I have to fix this problem by shutting down the iPad and rebooting. For $6.90 a month, a bug like this should get a rapid fix. But this has been going on for many months now.

Great brain exercise and stimulating. Keeps me sharp for when I play in person.
Not working well
Still unable to play only “slam” games or “no Trump” games”. This site has known this glitch for ages and still does nothing to fix it! What should I do?

Graphics overlay issues
I have been using this app for five years and this problem recently popped up a few days ago. On my iPhone, I can’t see the far left thirteenth card in my hand because the West side player’s face down hand covers that card. I can’t play the game if I can’t see my whole hand!There are also some minor errors, such as the red copyright text covering the “settings” and “my deals” options when the phone is rotated horizontally.
Update convention card
Wonderful way to practice, especially when it tells you what the robots would have made with that hand, and will show you how they made it. What I like the most that it plays according to the convention card you select. what I miss is to updat the convention card for exactly how I play. Now it’s close, which is helpful. but it isn’t always correct. The declare Trump the second heart trick, but it had one more Trump. Also, I am still experiencing. Reverse of the screen cards played by South look like they’re played from the north.
Fake mixing of hands. Keep getting the same 20 over and over again. Where are those thousands? Crook
What did you do? Why is north now south?? Totally bizarre. FIX IT
They Lie
After update they stop me to play, I purchase the game before and now they want me to pay another subscription.
Do not like the new Bridge Baron
I am very disappointed with the latest BB. It is not user friendly and I would much prefer to go back to the older version. We were not advised you were changing the format and I want to know how I can either cancel the subscription or revert to the previous version. For some reason my husband has both versions on his mobile and he won’t use the new one. Regards Vivienne Cook
Bridge Baron
Sometimes change is not always for the best. The previous layout was much better and user friendly. The colouring of the cards is insipid and washed out. I am very disappointed and would like to believe that one day your designer might see the light and change back to the original. I also had no notification of pending changes.

I miss being able to easily review how the other table played the hand. In this version it is tedious

A new bug
I'm going to cancel my subscription unless this bug is fixed soon. I've loved Bridge Baron for years, but as as I complained here in May 2025.there's now an annoying bug in playing the hand on my iPad: sometimes it reverses the display of the cards played, so that the card played by North appears to have been played by South. Really irritating, and it's been happening for five months. It sometimes goes away if you close and then reopen the app, but not always. And after a few hands it always comes back. I've just about had it.
Don’t think you’re getting something that will be allowed to last
One cannot trust these people. One pays for the game and it works well. Then a couple of years later they automatically upgrade it and try and get you to subscribe to the new version having take away the one working well without your permission
What the?
I’ve already paid for this app. Now that way to charge a monthly fee. Can I downgrade to the previous version?
New issues and continuing disappointment
A new glitch has developed in the past week or so. When playing a hand, the card play rotates counterclockwise instead of clockwise. The arrows indicating who should play seem correct, but it is very disorienting and I need to reboot my iPad to (temporarily) correct the problem. It seems to occur on a daily basis. A continuing disappointment is the inability to replay a hand. In the former version, I enjoyed the opportunity to try to improve the play or see how a hand played with different bidding and contract. Although I love to use this app, I am now looking for an alternative…it is not worth the subscription price.
Great game
Absolutely the best bridge game! I play it for hours. Never had any problems with it. I play at the bridge center and this is a great way to practice. LOVE the game
Higher Price Lower Function
The price of this App keeps rising and we are losing function. For example you can no longer ask what your partner’s bid means by pressing a button on top. The old versions were better.
Wonderful app turned sour
Why only portrait ? I canceled my subscription as a result …
Disappointed
I was enjoying this app until it suddenly changed. It will only now work side on and is much less user friendly. Hard to see cards. No longer willing to pay for second rate app. Restore the previous version and I will come back.
What’s happened to my bridge game
I play for practice and to improve my game but having to do it counterclockwise is out of play-grade! The App is in reverse and top and bottom cards are reversed also. Not very helpful and confusing… I’ve had App for a few years. Never had this before.

Used to be good - now buggy
The game inexplicably changes direction of play from clockwise to counter clockwise now. Also, when I first started using years ago there was a reasonable purchase fee. Then it became $4.99 / month. Now going up to $6.99 / month. Look for alternatives.
Topclass is different
Bridge Baron kan alle kaarten onthouden maar denkwerk is nog ver weg. Veel beginners fouten zoals niet terugkomen als een singleton wordt uitgekomen. Als oefenpartner prima zolang ik speel
Settings function is broken
A vital part of playing bridge is the ability to agree conventions with your partner. Not sure what has happened, but the settings function that allows me to choose my conventions is no longer working; I make the changes but there is no “save” button so they revert to previous. Please fix this bug ASAP
March 2024 update is hideous!! Won’t be renewing!
I always play Bridge Baron on an iPad and now it looks like it should only be played on a phone as it’s permanently in portrait mode!! All the cards are squashed up so you can barely read them! I’ve played BB for over 10 years and I won’t be subscribing any more if you can’t fix this!! I suspect this is owned by Bridge Base Online and this is a ploy to force us to play that game instead!
