Frustrating
I have had BBO for quite awhile. But now I cannot get rid of the advertising. And I have the “no ad” version.
No fun playing against robots
We need only players games.

I’m paying for ad free and still having to fight through annoying unwanted ads. Don’t pay for it!

I can pull up on my iPad all of my apps except BBO… for some reason none of the games show up.. the lady with the cards on the homepage is visible for only a short time. So any thoughts?

Previous issue was resolved quickly, app is otherwise solid.
Too many long ads
I can’t take it anymore. The Kalshi and Polymarket keep going on and on and on. It really spoils the fun. I’m happy to have some ads for a free app, but this is ridiculous.
Great bridge page.
I play ACBL sanctioned games on BBO. They are well organized, easy to use, and well attended. The platform is excellent. The robot partners could use a brush up on some standard play and can be a bit unpredictable. There are casual play and teaching tables in addition to serious competition. I have not witnessed any cheating Bo other players. The directors are good and responsive to calls. I strongly recommend BBO to bridge players of all skill levels.
Used to be Great
This app WAS one of the best. It was definitely the best bridge app until ads were added. Now in the middle of every second or third game there will be a lengthy ad that often doesn’t return to the game so the player cannot finish playing or save the score scores of the previous games. The creators of this app can surely do better. Ads are fine if a stream of revenue is desired, but make them short and allow a return to the games!
Where’s the app version?
App version now looks and runs like browser version. Not an improvement. Harder to search Virtual Clubs for games. Can’t read list of pairs signed up without scrolling. Very small print even on an iPad. I updated from App Store, rather than walk through prompts on my app screen. Just wanted my purple 8+, but app disappeared instead.
Best BRIDGE app
I’ve played on BBO for many years. Great choices in play.
Ads Freeze Use
I find the app useless because almost immediately ads will start. There is no way to get out of them. I have to quit. I’ve never seen this in other apps.
Scoring dilemma
I’m amazed at the results and my percentages after what appears to be a very good game. I don’t think that a double by the opponents shows that the team is better than a bidder who correctly and makes it. I.e I bid 5 made it, the other team did four made one additional trick, but the bid was doubled so the percentage for this team was greater than the percentage for me. I calculated, figured and bidded 5 correctly.
Betrayed
The game was great. It was ad free, and then the ads started a few weeks in. Uninstalling.
Used to be good
I used to enjoy this format until the ads started popping up in the middle of a tourney. I’m busy counting cards and right in the middle of a hand an ad pops up. Sometimes when I try to get back into the bridge hand, I’m locked out of tourney I’m halfway through with. Utterly ridiculous!
My life with BBO
I enjoy playing on BBO every day except for Sundays. Sundays are a day of rest and contemplating my many blessings from God.
“Free” game but only for two weeks
After a couple of weeks the ads for other games come fast and furious. Not only do they interrupt an ongoing bridge game,but they NEVER LET YOU go back to BBO! SCAM ALERT!!
A really fun and educational app
You can practice against expert reviews of hands, play with robots on your own schedule and play in tournaments with partners. I would give a 5 star if the robots were easier to set to standard yellow card vs 2 over 1. And if you didn’t get dropped out of hands whenever you get a text or email. So fun!!

I understand having ads but they are so long and difficult to exit out of I couldn’t even play one game.
Robots’ bidding is inconsistent
In the same hand two robots will respond differently or put you into slam when you have no business there.
What An Amazing Site
Very innovatively designed Aap. It caters for all from experts to bigginners,, One could , on a clik of a button , play with anyone across the globe. Incredible experiance. Again!!!! Yesterday I complained about empty except for twirling loading. It was fixed for less than a day. Same problem. Help! I need BridgeBaseonline or will just keep playing Omar Shariff and otherbridge apps. Same problems over and over!!!!! Whirling stars but no web site. Can’t you fix this?

For Subscribers, recommend introducing tournament that provides BBO points Also with AI have dedicated BOTS either ML to customize Robots. Offer this option at higher cost.

The ads are so aggressive now that I’m compelled to shut down the app every few hands and start over. $1/week is way too expensive to go ad free.
Too expensive
I have plaed Bridge on this site for years and watched it go from 25 cents a game to over $2. It is a good place to play Bridge. Why so greedy?
Messy and not a good experience
This app changed dramatically, and it now has ads running all the time - slot machines at the top of the page when you are trying to play bridge- interruptions of the games with ads, and an inability to check your scores because of the ads. I went on this site to see if there is an update to the app because it use to be a good place to play. No longer much fun and I do not play games that I use to pay for -because of all the interruptions.

When it’s working, great, but it keeps crashing to two question marks in boxes, and either needs re-installing or switching the phone off and on.

Yes, I agree, the ads have ruined the app. I have tried paying for a tournament hoping that would get rid of ads but no luck. And I keep having to reinstall the app for access.
iOS 26 issues.
I unfortunately “upgraded” to iOS26. Now scrolling is hit or, mostly, miss. I cannot scroll in the ACBL world area to find games and scrolling in the history tab is problematic. The last time I tried, I couldn’t took beyond board 9. iOS26 has been a real downgrade in general and I suspect I’m not the only person with a problem.
Wonderful
BBO is terrific for both casual and virtual club games. I am disabled with MS and yet find it easy to play on both my Apple iPhone as well as my Amazon kindle. Yes, the recent introduction of advertising is a distraction, and many of us wonder if it is really necessary to keep the platform free or if they are simply looking to monetize it. Nevertheless, it really is nothing more than a distraction and the program itself is terrific!

Great app. What’s gone wrong?
I have used this app for about four years but recently, after I have been playing for about an hour, it loads an advert that doesn’t download properly and I have to completely reload the app and sign in again! Very frustrating as seems to happen when I have a good hand!!
Interference
Adds are awful. Constant ringing from hearing aid interference make it unusable. Terrible app

The ads lock up the game
I don’t mind ads. I get that they support the app financially, but your ads block access to the game. I can’t get past them.
‘Play’ featue not loading
I am a regular player and have been playing for very long, however I recently got a new iPad, and ever since then, half the time when I log in to my account, BBO says that there is an error and that I should check my internet connection. My wifi is perfectly fine, though. I have to reboot the app to make it woek. I even get booted out during tournaments and matches. Why is this? Is it a BBO issue or an Apple one? Please clarify as I spend a lot of my evenings playing Bridge. Thank you,,
Ads have no time limit
Ever since you started running Ads they have take over the screen! You can hear the sound that the game is on but can’t X out of the ads. Most other computer games have a 15-30 second Ad at which we can exit after that time. But the ads on your website stay on for a long time plus whatever game is advertised stays on the screen with an OPEN button (no X at this point) which takes you to the App store. I understand that Ads helps you with money, but I think you should be able to control the amount of time it runs. Thanks for listening.
Ads don’t go away.
I came here to update the app because I thought there must be an issue. Updating didn’t change anything. I can’t play Just Declare because there’s no way to get the ad off of the screen. I waited and waited. It’s not usable in this state. Thanks for listening. I’m an avid user of the computer version.

Best bridge site ever
Ads have made it impossible to play
You play for five minutes, then an ad comes up and won’t go away, freezing up the phone. The only solution is to close out the app, delete and reload. It is literally unplayable. I understand the need for revenue. But if you want to make it a pay site just make it a pay site. Don’t pretend there’s a choice but make the ad-supported experience so complete useless that people have to pay. It’s incredibly obnoxious and really alienates me from the whole community.

Trying to play using what’s app for talking but as the cards come it cuts out the whats app. This has been happening for the last couple of months but before that it was perfect. Is there anything that can be done? I also was playing solitaire bridge on your app and trying to listen to bbc sounds radio and it cut the radio out as soon as the cards came down. This doesn’t happen with anything else I have open with the bbc sounds on

Like other reviewers, I find the ads extremely irritating. Is there some reason you are unable to purchase BBO+ and do away with the ads on the app??
BBO advised changes to their address to bypass pop up issue.
