Great app ✅
Needed to get from Southern Cross to Tullamarine quickly, download the app, bought a return ticket, found the departure point at the western end (need better signs!) and was easy as from there 👍
Apple Pay failed
I downloaded the app because I wanted to use Apple Pay and not be forced to do phone verification. Well, the payment failed every single time no matter the card I chose. Bravo!
Needs wallet support!
Great app to use, easy to get a ticket quickly for a trip. It would be perfect if there was the ability to add a ticket to Apple Wallet! I’d much rather have my ticket in there alongside everything else, like my boarding passes etc.

Ticket wallet needs work
Easy to use app, but tickets remain visible in the wallet years after they’ve been used. Would be better if they disappeared as soon as all trips were taken, to avoid confusion and clutter.

So easy to use, clear information re timetables etc. best thing is we can buy transport for Australia and New Zealand meaning we can organise the full trip when visiting either country.

Not a bad setup, but a few amendments are requested: - The Velocity Frequent Flyer option should be added after the quantity of tickets to be purchased is filled out. - After the purchase of a ticket on the app, an email notification should be sent directly to the customer’s email address to confirm ticket purchase detailing the important information pertaining to said purchase. At the moment, it only notifies you that an email account has been created. - Other than screenshots of the actual ticket at the time of purchase, what about offline access to the ticket wallet which displays the ticket purchase is advisable? Ticket wallet is embedded in the app (as opposed to the mobile wallet function), and requires mobile data to access and open the actual wallet.
Don’t bother
Purchased tickets from Skybus website, but can’t add them to their own digital wallet! Don’t waste your time.
Why Payment postcode 5 digits?
You have to type 5 digits postcode, otherwise payment not came through.

The app experience is excellent, navigation, layout of page. And when I found no cellular connection, the ticket info is offline, wow. Thanks for the devs.
Literally Cannot buy ticket

Ticket wallet has MAJOR ticket update issues
I have been caught trying to use a ticket in my wallet that was used weeks ago but still showing as valid, and also buying tickets in the app for them not to be there when I try to board. FIX IT!!!!
No Apple Pay
Say whaaaat!? It’s an iPhone app. Don’t make me login to PayPal or get my wallet out. I’m tired.
Unable to register
So far I’ve been unable to both register and even services. Consistently getting both error messages and blank pages for services.

So many steps just to buy a ticket, and available payment methods are difficult — they don’t even offer Apple Pay!
Half-finished App
This is the app you build when you have the market tied up and know your customers have few other choices. It’s not useless but you wouldn’t use it by choice.

Hi. On the app icon can you place a number of how many rides are available on the top right? Like if you have 6 in your ticket wallet, to indicate 6. As an alternative to create a widget with this information?
Still an awful app
Where is Apple Pay? It’s 2026, should be able to add tickets to wallet. Can’t book a time slot for bus tickets I just purchased, how do I know that the bus won’t be full when it or I turn up?? Why have a timetable that doesn’t allow user to book seat for specific time. Given all the feedback going back 5 years, this company doesn’t have any interest in improving their product, only gave 1 star so feedback could be posted
Issues signing up
Having issues currently signing up cannot choose my own password it just lags and exits the app. but may be due to my phone iOS upgrade to 17, might need to update the app.
Okay but needs Apple Pay
Good to have this on an app instead of carrying around the paper tickets around and risking losing them while travelling. But needs integration with Apple Pay so one doesn’t have to dig out and juggle credit cards while travelling. The credit card scan never works and I’ve always had to put details in twice before it is accepted by the app. I’ve also realised that this has never been updated in 3yrs despite responses to requests for Apple Pay around that time. Not sure why Skybus developed an app then completely ignored it.
Waste of my time
What a useless app. I don’t travel to Melbourne much but as they don’t have a rail connection (yes really; it’s 2025 and there is no rail connection from the airport the city!) I chose the bus service. I bought a ticket and got the confirmation and an invitation to download their app. Can I see my ticket when I register? Haha no. Waste of time.
Can’t even process payments
Payments won’t process despite multiple cards saying payment in successful. Annoying as now I have to pay on the website which won’t support digital tickets 🤦🏻♀️
Can do better
Apps not had in a basic way. Three years ago people were commenting about the lack of Apple Pay and iPhone wallet integration. Three years later and still no progress.

Lacks Apple Pay and Login
I would much prefer to Apple Wallet integration for both payment and ticket integration. Also, allowing login with Apple or Google would smooth the sign up process
App doesn’t work
App doesn’t work. Bought a return ticket, but QR code vanished after the outward trip. No receipts provided for business travellers. Cannot save SkyBus tickets in Apple/Google wallet, can only view in the app. App is not fit for purpose.
Needs to do better
Bought tickets on website. Download app and register - no tickets show. To get tickets in the app, you need to buy in the app. It’s 2023 and no Apple Wallet integration. Bare minimum feature for a ticketed service. Apple Pay would be useful to pay with. Feels like the dev team haven’t been given enough time or budget to care about making the basics smoother for regular customers. Also - no refunds no matter what. Change of plans even weeks from flying? No refund for you. About time Melbourne ditched SkyBus for a publicly run service that uses Myki or contactless upon boarding to stop rewarding this company.
It’s alright, but missing ability to download invoices
App works as expected, but the only thing that is annoying is the fact that I cannot download the invoices. It’s all stored in the app, but because I can’t download it and save it on my phone - it makes it harder to get said invoices for tax or reimbursement purposes. So if you’re a businessman, don’t download this app and opt to go to the website to get an invoice.
Useless
Still no apple wallet integration in 2024. Then after digging my wallet out of my suitcase there was an error and my payment couldn’t be processed. Also the timetables don’t recognize the date to know it’s a public holiday. If you can’t rely on the timetables or purchase tickets, what is the actual point of the app?
Your database has been hacked
Every time I type my phone number into this app, I get Spam messages, every time I delete those, I don’t get them anymore. You need check why the phone numbers got leaked.
Wallet and Apple Pay
The App is ok … but you need two things to make it really usable and convenient.. 1) no one uses PayPal, no one wants to sing in to any third party service to pay, neither to enter credit card details … come on just implement ApplePay 2) No one wants to open the app just to show the tickets .. let the users save it to Apple Wallet …
Worst app out there
Tried to buy a ticket keeps saying cart invalid. How tf are we supposed to buy off your app if it doesnt let you? Wha cart? Whats invalid??? Just a one way city express to tullamarine. Frustrating. Ended up giving my money to Uber instead for same cost. Morons.
No way of adding purchased tickets to app
I bought tickets on website on my computer. Then I downloaded the app to make it easier for travelling. There seems to be no way to connect my tickets to the app to use them…
Needs Apple Pay, Wallet, and keychain support
Functional and arguably better than just using the SkyBus website, however missing some important features that would make it much more useable: Most important - ability to use iOS keychain that already stores all the credit card data securely. Instead, this app presents a non-standard keyboard that has a redundant option of using a camera to scan a credit card (only really useful if this is the first time you are going to use your brand new credit card), or the user can enter a credit card from scratch. There is no option to just auto fill credit cards from keychain like every other iOS app. Additionally, the app offers to store your credit card details “securely” in their cloud if you sign up for account. This is of course less than ideal, and ability to auto fill credit card details from iOS keychain is both more convenient and more secure. Ability to use Apple Pay would make this even more convenient. And last, the Wallet integration. The amount of time it takes to unlock the phone, start this app, get some sort of network connection, then fiddle with this app to bring up the skybus ticket is about to take people behind you in the bus queue a little annoyed. Bringing up the Wallet from the control centre even while the phone is locked is much faster. All in all, a good app that does what it promises, but needs some improvements.
