Great app but could be even better!
I love this app but there are a few things I wish could be added. I find that there’s a few hours of lag between something getting posted vs showing up in my search alerts. Unfortunately, this has led me to miss out on bucket list vintage pieces by a few hours. I also would love if a little side bar could be added to show how far through you are in a search. Thanks and cheers!
Messy and scarce
Search are not filtered an results are minimal ... not helpful at all

Why does this app take so much space? Otherwise, it’s perfect.
Never finds the results I find myself
The concept of this app is so great, and I was excited to try it. However, most things I search will pop up as “no results,” but when I search for them on each site individually, I find listings. Basically, I still have to search for everything manually, which completely defeats the purpose. I really really hope this gets fixed because I have been hoping for an app like this for years!
Add a suggestion box
Thrift sites pop-up all of the time and it would be great if you could add the ability to suggest new ones (ex: ThredUp).

App froze my phone
The app froze my phone on the screen where you have to enter your mail to upload a photo.
Click through to Poshmark has changed
I don’t see a feedback button on your app so placing this here. The flow has change when you click on an item from Poshmark and you’re unable to click through to the app. You have to buy directly from the pop up within Gem. Can’t even like an item. Not the best user experience anymore
Was perfect but sudden change
I have been a user of this app for many months, I use it to get notified on prices I can’t resist. But recently GEM has been logging me out of my own account, causing me to re-login numerous times with no long term success. Because of this bug It has caused me to miss out on all the things I first loved about the app. I hope this review brings attention to a fault in the application and by doing so, getting it fixed.
Advanced search fails
The advanced searching doesn’t work properly. Tested by keeping my old ones and then tried the Alternative terms search style and it misses stuff. Nice idea but not great execution
Best shopping app
This saves me a ton of time checking various sites. The search is better, too...just the right number of refinements and options. Also smart options on the notifications. Brilliant, easy-to-use design. Contacted them for support and got a speedy, helpful answer. Highly recommended.
Pushes specific sites and are not honest about it
I won’t use any company names in my review, but my results are always heavily from one site, even when I type in word-for-word the names of listings on sites that Gem claims to use in their database. Predatory and dishonest company.
Two Tweaks Would Perfect It
Great app! Could use the ability to sort saved listings by price. And the sizing filter is about 75% effective; it pulls in listings at the incorrect size quite frequently. Otherwise a great app, thank you!
Has similar search issues to other vintage apps
Great that it pulls in pieces from eBay and Etsy etc., but it has the same issues at Etsy’s search - it pulls up ‘[era] style’ or ‘[era you didn’t search for] does [era you searched for]’, or pulls up everything vaguely related to the term you searched for, e.g. searching for “1930s dress” pulls up all dresses of all eras, or searching for “orange mini dress” returns every orange dress or every mini dress. I’d hoped this would be an actual buy/sell app that would improve the situation for sellers compared to Etsy and eBay, and would as a search tool be much more functional for buyers, but disappointingly it’s just another inaccurate shopping search engine.
Great Platform, Can’t Log into App
The login link gets sent to my email but always opens in a browser. It doesn’t detect the app on my phone, so I can only use Gem on a desktop.
Amazing app
Absolutely love this app and am so appreciative that it exists. I've been using it for a little over a year now and it's found so many things for me. Their reverse image search is incredible - if the thing you're looking for is out there, and recently listed, their app will find it.
Useless
Write a search word here and get 2 results, enter same search word in EBay and get 452 results (exact match).

Gem has made my online search for vintage gems so much easier. I love how they’ve simplified and condensed a lot of different websites inventory into one long scroll.

Such an amazing app for vintage sourcing! It makes finding specific, hard-to-find deadstock pieces across multiple platforms effortless. Super clean interface and knowing my Etsy store's inventory is fully indexed makes it an absolute must-have for independent sellers. Highly recommend!
Love love love this app!
This is the best app to source vintage with! I LOVE the save search and notification features and really can't recommend it enough. It's a must for anyone who is looking for specific pieces, whether they're vintage or modern. I try to shop as sustainably as I can and this has been such a big help with that. Plus it saves so so much time when you only have to search one place instead of dozens! I found my white whale item with this app and will be a forever fan because of it! Thank you Gem!

My Favourite App of All Time!
Gem is incredible for so many reasons; the ease of use, wide range of search results and bookmark section are all great tools to help expand one’s secondhand collection while still being sustainable. I also learn so much while simply scrolling on this app- it can lead you to find things you never knew about before. I have told many people about it in my life but would also recommend this to anyone who loves fashion!!
Can’t live without it!
As both a secondhand/vintage buyer and seller - life is so much easier and better looking thanks to Gem! Such a time saver and convenience to easily search across platforms - and the filters are so helpful. Its works flawlessly and has become one of my top 5 most used apps!
