App not working
Tried a couple of times to verify email but failed. Poor App on log in and sign up.
Perfect Intro - Antique & Modern
At the right time 1stDibs had great value for antique jewelry to modern Jewelry. Sellers are responsive and honest (so far, so good. My experience has been good so far.
Don’t bother if outside US
Nice app with great functionality - but tried ordering three items on the app that all offered free international delivery and a ‘discounted’ offer. All three orders were cancelled or the seller wanted more money to ship to UK (even after taking payment). In the end I bought nothing and gave up.
Can’t create folders
I several thousand favorited items. I wanted to create folders, but you can only view about maybe about 100 items out of my 4,000+ items to put into folders. After the first 100 items that appear after you click “Edit” then “Move Into Folders,” the most recent 100 favorites start repeating, and near the bottom, you start getting blank spaces. I think that feature is just really buggy and demotivates me to use the app. I guess that’s good given that I have several thousand favorites, so I should be more selective. But that’s mainly why I wanted to organize them to narrow my preferences. I tried scrolling past the most recent 100, but after clicking the edit button to create a folder, it jumped back to the top of the list. So that didn’t work. I hope they fix this bug soon and create a better code to accommodate their more obsessive app users, lol! It’s a really fun app. I only gave it three stars to hopefully get the attention of the devs. Best of luck! Thanks!

Bad experience
I have had some good experiences with FirstDibs but recently had a very bad one - relating to an expensive item that was not at all as represented by the seller. As clear as the misrepresentation was, 1st Dibs provided no help & the seller insists on my paying expensive return freight + a restocking fee. No more purchases on 1st Dibs for me. (Would not have given 1 star if I didn’t have to.)

A shady version of The Real Real
The prices across the board on this site are set sky high! Indeed, you can assume they’re at least 20% above fair market value but more likely 80% to 100%. Exact duplicates I found on 1stDibs and TRR show asking prices of $800 and $200, respectively. Caveat emptor has never been so relevant as it is here.
High Quality
High quality items. Curated and presented well by dedicated store proprietors. My ‘go to’ when I’m looking for something for my home that is truly fine. And individual.
Worst
I’ve never encountered a more cumbersome off the mark program. Perhaps just incompatible with latest OS. Try buying and sending a gift to someone when your card address is your office not your home. Needsxoverhsul urgently.

Great Quality and Service
I’ve had great luck with the quality of the offerings and personalized service no matter how large or small the purchase.
You will NEVER get your refund !
I have spent more than two weeks and after more than a dozen calls and emails , despite the seller approving and then acknowledging that they have jewelry pieces I have only received a small portion of a more than 5.5K refund . 1stDibs should NOT be trusted to stand behind any advertised promises, if they withhold money that should be returned. I would highly recommend that you do not buy anything from this company, it is clearly too risky !
Ring sizes
Please make it “much easier” to find the ring size. Many can’t be sized and it’s frustrating.
Starts from the top every time…can’t continue where I left off
Love what they have, but dislike the fact that if you cannot look through thousands of items in one sitting, on the app when my phone locks or I have to put it down, it starts from the top of the selection when I take it up again and I cannot continue where I left off…! Totally frustrating and a waste of time!

Never received item
It’s been 3 weeks since I ordered an item for an event. The site said give the item 2 weeks to arrive. It’s been misery dealing with these people. They are zero help. I don’t know how they can feel they facilitate a sale. The item I purchased probably never existed. This is a fraudulent site with fraudulent products. I am extremely disappointed and they wasted a lot of my time for a very high value purchase. I do not recommend them to anyone.

Fabulous navigation. Love that prices are listed- even though they are exaggerated. These two strengths are the other “Art-focused” site’s weaknesses, and the reason we’ve given up on them.
Last resort!
Because they charge sellers so much the prices are high. And they are really slow to process any support…. Not a particularly pleasant experience. Sometimes it’s the only place that has what you want so you don’t have a choice but personally I’d avoid it unless i absolutely have no choice

To modern for my vintage tastes, I wouldn’t shop here, but I mean if you like modern and that’s fine but for me, I don’t really like modern. It’s too flashy for me.

Great source
Incredible marketplace for some 1st rate items. I particularly love the furniture, with enough variety to be useful as a research resource. The downside is that prices seem inflated, but you can always try an offer.
Disappointed
I signed up wondering when I would ever need luxury items like these. Then my mother passed. I found a lovely box for her ashes from a well known designer and got in touch. No answer, none. The box was great and the site says sellers are vetted. So I stopped reaching out (maybe they get a lot of dumb questions) and made my purchase. Time passes and the sale is canceled. I think I am deleting the app. I can get ignored at high-end retail stores just fine. At least I can raspberry and finger-fork in person. -Cheers for nothing but pretty pictures.
Force closes occasionally
I search for furniture and art, mostly. The filter options are pretty good. The app sometimes force closes on me if I’ve been using it for a while, which is annoying because it goes back to home when I reopen it.

1st Dibs Give Seller and Buyer different info
Beyond difficult to use. I made my first order and it’s says it waiting on the seller, so I contacted the seller and they said 1st dibs is requesting more in for me, but I never got an email. She confirmed with a screenshot on her end. Why do they make it so difficult to use and make order. I ended up cancelling don’t recommend, as it’s been 48 hours and no one from 1st dibs has gotten back to me.

I have always used 1stDibs when looking for antiques, but lately all my searches are pulling up art, and a lot of it contemporary and not of great quality. Think this is a bit much. Should be a separate search facility for art if you must, and I say this as an art lover.

I used to love this app and service. I thought it was an amazing way to be able to find an access unique treasures from all over the world. One of my favorite things I own came from this service. I was very disappointed to open the app today to look for more art only to find the opening page to be filled with base pornography! While I honor and treasure the incredible experience of being a human being and its beauty, I don’t celebrate base representations of men and women. This is incredibly disappointing smut‼️ I find this disrespectful, unprofessional, and de-evolutionary. You don’t even allow an option to turn this stuff off on your account. 1stdibs, you’ve lost my business‼️

Refunds are Impossible
I have had two terrible experiences with refunds from this highly unprofessional company. I get one story after another as to why the refund has not been processed. You can not reach a live person as the (646) area code phone 1st dibs provides doesn't work. Do not purchase anything through this company.

Lack of professional shipping
Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with 1stDibs after I purchased a very expensive piece of furniture and paid over $1K to have it shipped and delivered using a white glove service. The shipper refused to deliver the piece stating that they don’t deliver to homes with multiple stairs. They then proceeded to dump the furniture piece in my garage. I contacted 1stDibs for a refund of the white glove service since they only provided shipping service. After over a month of back and forth, they refused to even partially refund the delivery cost. I now have to hire movers for the delivery from my garage to my home. So unprofessional! I’ve received better customer service from Target! Deleting app, I will never use it again.

One issue I have is the inability to view the horizontally and maybe more thumbnails per page (or allow a function so the user can decide how many to view) - smaller photos allow for quicker viewing which is useful when even after filtering there are 1000+ results
