Not buyer friendly/agile
I would say my only issue is the lack of agility and buyer-friendly features. I bought a piece and realized the sizing wouldn’t work for the wall, client, etc., in the end. To cancel the offer, I have to email Artsy over and over. They say 24 hours which I emailed about 5 times in 24 hours to make sure. Instead of an easy, cancel here.
Однообразный виджет
Нельзя выбрать картину на виджет, или хотя бы желательный стиль предложения на виджет
Problem with Algorithms
The emails I receive supposedly feature my interests, but in actuality have nothing to do with the style, subject, or quality of artwork that I want to purchase.
Sadly Unresponsive
I’ve sent the company several emails about their algo, which seems to keep showing me work that is not of interest but which persists forever. I never followed these artists nor am interested in the style or medium, some are sold already, yet they persist in my feed forever. Similarly, unfollowing artists should signal you’re not interested in their work and you want to see the work of others in your feed, but yet again, there they are showing up every day. If the app is truly built to connect artists with collectors, they need to get this right. A simple thumbs down to teach the algo would go a long way. Also I wouldn’t be leaving this public review, if they had responded to my private attempts at providing feedback.
new to art collecting
Luv the app many talented artists, various price ranges
Crashing
Very interesting website but it crashes constantly on my new iPad!,,,,,,Otherwise I love it.
Lacking dark mode
No dark mode on the app but the website?? 👎👎
Useful but buggy
Its a great platform to access art and galleries, but there’s a few issues that hinder efficiency and effectiveness. This includes the glitchy inbox, which you cant organize or clear out. The app crashes as well and can be inconsistent with its function
Inspiring
As a pretty jaded working artist, I was curious to see what this app looked like for artist, not consumers and I am pleased. It feels like a refreshing sip from a fire hose! The app is visually simple and allows me to view hundreds of artworks at a time, find who I wanna follow, and reach out if I wanna buy. Well done app people!!!
Not for artists
They don’t support independent artists. Have to be part of a gallery.
Good but....
Would really like better access to account settings and easier access to group artists I follow.
Good Size, Bad Quality
If you’re looking for artists who sniff their own farts or glue to get high; you’ve found the application. It takes forever to find something that is just decent in terms of fine art. Everything is overpriced. You can buy better art off of a comission on Fiverr. Better off doing something else with your time. The interface is slick and there is art actually on there. But, if you’re looking for something to actually buy and put in your home: Pass this app.
Crashing problem
Useful app, but crashes frequently
Fantastic Art!
Great art buying site!!
you really don’t want for me to review this terrible app
you can’t work with this app you can’t download your pictures and the site is set up weird
Very educational
I love how Artsy makes art accessible to neophytes like me. Not pretentious or elitist. Just helpful and welcoming. App works great.
Used to like it but currently not working.
I can’t seem to do anything and have updated the app. Nothing seems to work. Does it need to work off WiFi ?
Issues with search
Overall, I love the app, but lately, I get stuck after searching for an artist just once. It gets stuck and I have to swipe out of it. It appeared to have been fixed in the last update and I was excited, but just tried attempted a new search and can’t even scroll through the list of artists once I have put anything on the search bar. Help!

Not even close to a decent App
I cannot believe you even put this out there. Half the text is chopped off, searches show tiny thumbnails and overlap….
The Art app
Great app, enable you to store your artists. Few elements still need to be developed, such as sharing your favourite or artists list, option to suggest new artist does not exist, etc!
Surprisingly feeble
No way to get to account settings so when they got hacked and advised password change it had to be done on the website and then delete and re-download the app to login with new password.
Compression is annoying
When I try to save a particular piece to my photos using the “share” feature, it becomes awfully compressed/blurry and it’s pretty onnoxious
Hmm
How do you sell art?
SCAM PLATFORM
I was registered for an auction on Artsy with a client auction house. Next time I will deal with an auction house directly rather than use Artsy as a platform. This is because Artsy does not verify that an auction will actually take place on their platform. I was using their live auction feature and I thought it was very intuitive, however 7 lots from the time I was interested in, the auction mysteriously ended and I was sent an email from Artsy saying I missed out on the item I was attempting to bid on. The problem is, the item never went live on the app! and also the supposed “sale” price was 100 dollars above my highest bid. Very suspicious if you ask me. I emailed support and they would just lie to me and refuse to take any sort of action towards this situation. They continuously told me that the sale did go live, and I simply was “outbid at the last second.” This is ridiculous because that auction didn’t have a timer that was a set countdown, the time would fluxate on bid interest. I think this platform is very shady, and I think they had a technical issue which didn’t sync up to their client site, and they refuse to acknowledge and take accountability for their mistake. It’s crazy I missed out on an item over 100 Euros. Absolutely insane. Don’t use this service if you want to be treated like an adult.
Awesome
Love this app, but do wish it featured a search and find art containing specific words.
Meh
App looks good, but it won’t let you add artists they don’t have in their database so for me the app is useless..
Available artwork not kept up to date, filtering by subject type very basic
Don’t be surprised if the listed art work isn’t available.

Impossible to reach
I used Artsy for a year with many serious problems No help with shipping and lost many sales as a result of no phone contact and non-supportive staff who seem to appear and disappear randomly and rarely respond promptly to eMail. But the worst is trying to close your account Artsy ignores e-mail so I have to send a legal registered letter to stop them from renewing my account Over $10,000 to use for a year slim to none customer service One of the worst online sites I have ever dealt with. I had to add a phone number in code just to continue discussing a sale that Artsy would offer no help with. I agreed to continue discussion after I ended my account. The buyer received no support on his end and explained that he felt badly that Artsy was near impossible to deal with. Closing my AC count has caused me to eMail CEO and send c opines of my email to legal council.
Auction Results
Auction results are a bit of a hodgepodge otherwise excellent app
Bad location?
Artsy you’re doing it somehow wrong :x
Where did the ‘works by artist you follow’?
It was a greta app, but looks like the section works by artist you follow is nonlonger there in the phone app
Obsessed
My daily dose of inspiration — this app is addictive. I have learned so much about contemporary art and my own taste, and have purchased multiple pieces — always seamless.
?????
Why can’t I sell my own art on here?
Tool indispensabile per gli appassionati
Peccato manchino una serie di filtri ulteriori per ricercare le opere presenti...
Paul kostabi e frank denota
App discreta ma i quadri di paul kostabi e frank denota dove sono?tra qualche anno se non addirittura prima varranno davvero tantissimo...inseriteli e di corsa
Response poor
Sometimes doesn’t respond on downloading messages. Therefor they appear unanswered which is frustrating for both parties...
Great Research Tool!
I use Artsy to deepen my appreciation for artists whose work I see for sale in n online auctions. I love having a second site!
Be careful!
I ordered a painting via the app and it arrived damaged. The insurance the app offered is basically not worth much and the customer service is terrible. Next time I’m going to order straight from the gallery.
Artsy review
What a great way to discover new artists and galleries! Keep up the good work guys!
Lots to improve
Following the galleries button never works. And once you follow them nothing happens. All I need is a feed of updates from the galleries to keep up to date with shows/ discover new artists. Can't save/ favourite any shows you're interested in - so can't go back to it at a later date. Too much info about American exhibitions which I don't need. Lots to improve on.

Democratizing Art?
Such a dull app.
Great App
Great to discover new artist and to list your favourites.
Good idea but slow as hell
Good looking nice idea but slow as hell!
Great up until recent update
Begging you guys to please put back the articles feature on the app. It was really useful for people like me who want to find something to read rather than hanging on social media sites. So please for the sake of humanity put it back
