Not as reliable. Not capturing records soon enough. The subject will be well into the field before recording starts. Also False labeling of subjects. With every update the app gets worse. Now you try to delete files and they don’t go away.

Arlo sucks
Arlo is the WORST system. I can’t even delete a useless video. I have to format the USB drive to erase things. They say go to the “Library” screen…. There is NO LIBRARY SCREEN. And every page has advertisements… buy more buy more buy more. I try to look at a camera to see who is breaking in to kill my family and I get dragged to the internet to buy more buy more buy. No technical support.

It’s very annoying seeing on the app advertisements on top of your camera’s view. There’s no way to at least re-arrange.

Gute Bedienbarkeit
Leider fehlt oft bei 1 Kamera der Aufnahmeknopf, Feed unvollständig, App muss oft neu gestartet werde bei Feed-Bearbeitung und Ansicht mehrerer Videos.
Wonderfully brilliant
This has been an amazing security system works great catches everything cameras will zoom in and follow objects and do so many other things you can create privacy zones depending on where you are putting your cameras truly a great system would recommend
Complicated
This was an ok app but to customize your system is like solving the most complex crime. Shouldn’t be this hard to set up a system. I will be looking for a new system this year because the cost has gone up for a yearly subscription.
Ok but needs improvement
Overall it’s good, it could do with adopting the apple design guidelines. One annoyance is that the badges don’t clear when you’ve viewed the feed unless you force quit the app and open the feed again. Could be so much better
Camera quality is great, everything else no
I think the Camera quality is great, but I do have several issues. It seems to always want to be on night vision unless I have this turned off even during the middle of the day. It would constantly toggle in and out of night vision when the camera would move around. It creates quite a loud clicking sound that is rather annoying when it happens every 2-3 minutes for 30 plus minutes till I can’t stand it anymore and turn that feature off. I don’t want to have to remember to turn this feature on and off. Again it should even be on when it’s the middle of the day with bright sunshine. The other issue I have is you cannot send videos via text message even if you download them to your phone. Yes you can use the share feature but it requires 2-3 extra steps for the person receiving the video. I should be able to send a video that I downloaded onto my phone to anyone and it show up in the text message just like any other video you send. That was the deal breaker for me. I will say again the video quality itself is perfect and even in the night vision is great. I love that I didn’t have to click into the camera itself to see a live view of what is happening at that moment. If the 2 issues were corrected I would go back to using them.
Mostly great
NEED an option to force quit any other device streaming. The “live streaming is currently in use by another device” comes up far too often for a single user household. I’m the only one with access so if I want to see the feed on my computer and I don’t even have the app open on my phone, the computer should be the only feed streaming. I get that it’s constantly monitoring and updating notifications on my phone, but being locked out of my computer stream because of that with no way to navigate that other than constantly refreshing is stressful. My account as the sole user should have admin status to force close any other streaming that’s happening because I’m the only one doing the streaming. Anyone else streaming would just open up a whole nother security issue

This company has gone downhill and fast. They are running a whole ad campaign and are putting their promotional ads up to block your local stored videos so you pay into their subscription. They’ve been knowing about this for months from comments in the community on their Reddit group and they don’t even care we have been flying blind… they’ve come up allegedly with three different updates and still can’t figure out a way to remove their own ads. Do not purchase any of their products.

Glitchy system that lags hard…
The system lags terribly and misses events constantly. Looses connection while viewing. While some cameras connect better than others. Some simply can’t or won’t stay connected at all. Poor WiFi. Better in some models. I have them all. High cost for poor surveillance system.
Local videos back after Aug 24 update
Thanks for bringing back the local videos! It took around 1 month to fix, but they seem back now. Other than that, the app works ok, I can see my local recordings, which why bought this camera system in the first place. I would still want the team to give us a way to disable notifications completely without passing by the iOS settings. Right now I get notifications every time the schedule arms or disarms the cameras, but it becomes noise. And what makes it even worse is that the schedule time slots cannot be contiguous. I have to set a slot from 0:00 to 8:59 instead of 0:00 to 9:00… otherwise I get an error. Also, replacement batteries for Arlo 3 Pro are nowhere to be found in Canada. I bought some on Amazon that die after 15 minutes if not plugged in. So I think I’ll have to switch to another system. My system is not even 5 years old…

Front door camera doorbell
I’m disappointed in the front door camera system. It works for about a year and then the LED night light stops working, it doesn’t record events, the door bell stops working. Then after spending 3 hrs on the phone with Arlo— still problems aren’t resolved.
Review update
Update to 1 star review: I had to delete the app off my phone and redownload it, log back in again and it began to work again. With the latest update, the app gets stuck on the loading screen. Just the logo and nothing else. Please fix asap!
Very buggy
Started out great two years ago and the app gets worse with each upgrade. For the last two months it logs me out constantly so I NEVER get alerts when someone shows up or a package is delivered. Very upset about this!!

Go Back to Old System
The new updated system is awful. Geofencing does not work. Go back to the old interface where it was easy to use the platform. I might switch camera companies with how difficult you have made it.
Lost Feed options
Hi. After last update the Feed tab doesn’t allow access to the Cloud and Local Options which have moved to behind the time/signal icons at top of screen. Otherwise been a great app.

App Features Disappearing
Don’t buy Arlo cameras. The latest is that Arlo blocked the Feed settings on the app. Used to work just fine. Now feed features are behind a paywall. Lousy company. Disabling features one-by-one and hiding them behind an incredibly expensive paywall.

Je n’ai pas trouvé mieux, il y a bien sûr des caméras avec une gestion gratuite mais difficile de trouver un environnement qui accepte et gère 7 caméra en même temps. Arlo y parvient très bien. Depuis la dernière mise à jour un bug sur la bibliothèque et une caméra qui disparaît sans raison…
New update is terrible
Ever since the latest update installed (6.41.0) with the Liquid Glass and other features my feed never loads. I have to force close the app constantly to get the feed to update with new recording. On top of that they added ads everywhere! Never seen an add in my life with Arlo until recent and my account status never changed.

Auf dem iPhone 16 ist die Cloud/Lokal-Auswahl nicht richtig bedienbar. Der Reiter oben ist zu klein und wird teilweise vom Akku-/Statussymbol verdeckt. Dadurch kann man nicht zuverlässig zwischen „Cloud“ und „Lokal“ wechseln. Bitte die Darstellung für das iPhone 16 anpassen.

Appen är jättebra. Förr hade jag två pro3 kameror och gjorde hela installationen instabil med tappade kameror (pro4, pro5, essential). Allt funkar jättebra efter att jag tog bort pro3. Inspelningen av händelser är väldigt värdefull. Önskar att den utökas med 1) konfigurerbart larm där ljud och den tid som larmet låter kan anpassas per kamera. 2) avbrott i kommunikationen med kamerorna larmas, tex om internet går ner.

Do not buy
Glitchy and keeps disconnecting. Very hard to initially set up, repeat the set up steps a dozen times and it might work. Then when finally set up, it disconnects every few minutes while watching your baby on the monitor. Super frustrating and unreliable.

When you open the app, the camera, sometimes they take too long more than usual to to upload . need improvement, unloading the live feed, also a better way to erase in bulk amount not day by day, it has bugs that need to be patched and update better in the system! Please fix! I rely on this system a lot!

For that extra level of confidence
It’s the AI that makes Arlo a good choice for security. I’m still learning how to best use it, but as I build more routines and schedules, this and the cameras it watches are reliable and unintrusive. And when it works, it’s great…there are added features now that identify people and vehicles as well as a beta of recognizing certain events. When it works, that is, I still have issues with the automation when it fails to notice our departure or arrival, which is supposed to change what’s monitored.
Just my opinion
I think the camera part works well… but it doesn’t start recording soon enough. You miss a lot and it’s will stop recording every when the moment is still happening so you will miss chunks of time when it should be continuously recording. Wish it was a little bit more intuitive as well… to lean the difference between not recording when the wind blows the branch but recording when a car comes down the driveway.
New revised app
The new app is confusing, difficult to navigate. I’ve deleted all the recordings and been through the app 10x’s & it still shows 25 notifications on my Home Screen! I don’t know who designed this mess! They took something simple and easy to use and over engineered it! Completely messed it up……an absolute train wreck! Even trying to get the automation to work is a train wreck. It works one time for one camera and not the other. Train whistlers everywhere….
