Where are my videos?!
I recorded many videos with this app and suddenly they are missing from my phone. They’re never saved automatically to the gallery, but this app shows them in IT’S LIBRARY but when I select to view the apps gallery, the app Crashes! EVERYTIME! Someone out there on Hohem’s staff has my media and I want it!
Hohem app for iSteady Pro4
Works well, but the motion lapse feature loses all your waypoints upon completion of the task. If you want to run it again you must re-enter all the waypoints again. Time consuming and annoying.

This is a love and hate kind of relationship with this app. What works good works Great but what doesn’t work is what I hate about it. There is 2 apps with the same name but they have the opposite problems. Hopefully some updates will make it happen 👍😅
Worked just fine
Was put off by the poor star rating but the app paired seamlessly with my gimbal and works wonderfully.

This is by far the only thing I've ever wanted to return and get my money back. I was so hyped when i first bought it and then the app never worked ever. So disappointed more than anything. I still have it no wants to buy it
Drains phone battery
Recorded my sons basketball game and the app drained the battery. I looked up the battery history and it took 48% of my battery strength. Big disappointment especially when recording longer games. Also takes forever to save videos so I miss out on plays.
The App is TRASH
Takes forever to save videos longer than 5-6 minutes out of may not save at all. I’ve lost valuable footage on two different occasions either waiting for the darn video to save to start my next recording, or later finding out the video didn’t actually save at all. Extremely disappointing!! Worried I’d lose more footage, I ended up just manually recording and holding my phone in my hand. 23 minute video saved instantly. Its a average gimbal purchase without the additional app features. Either update the app or I will be returning and getting my$80 back!!!

Won’t recognize my IPhone 15 Pro
I keep trying and no luck. The App won’t connect to my phone. I’ve followed the tips not to have the phone connect to the app, but have the app connect, and it still won’t work!!
Well thought out and easy to use
This is a powerful app with many options and controls. Installing and setup was easy with no type of issues involved. Everything worked and continues to work. I’m using a Akaso V50 Elite camera and unfortunately there is no camera connection and the camera controls on the Hohem iSteady Pro 4 are useless. Fingers crossed for a 5 star firmware upgrade to get this issue solved. Thanks for the quality app and a great product in the Pro4 gimbal.
App Fails to save videos
After recording a 3 minute video of a moment that won’t ever happen again. The app displayed the saving video spinning icon and but did not saved. Happened several times. Really needs a fix.
Face Tracking Doesn’t Work Right
V1.0.7 of the App - Face Tracking is broken. Only takes photos every few seconds. Will not allow you to take video in that Face Tracking mode. Moreover, once Face Tracking is started, the app is locked into a weird “recording” mode that you can’t get out of without force quitting the app. It looks like it’s recoding video but the video record button is gone. Pan/tilt direction settings (in the app) on the joystick do not get saved. Have had to reset those many times just in the first two days of owning the gimbal.
Very good app
Just purchased an iSteady mobile plus and this app. works perfectly with no problems and makes using the gimbal a lot easier. I don’t understand all the negative reviews but they are quite old and the app has now had time to improve so that it working so well today
Run away (this is garbage)
The functionality of this app is misleading and baseline at best. You Will not find any remote control functions because the app is all about facial recognition functions which are finicky and practically useless. Any other company’s gimbal phone app will provide a remote control function. This gimbal, this app is advertising but not delivering. As far as the gimbal go’s, any other brands will yield better results. Hohem has NO business selling any product under a “pro” banner. They don’t make any real pro models. cheap parts, basic functions to mask the lack of Pro features. Pro features like, remote monitoring remote control, fixed positioning, and let’s not forget that these products are just an attempt to recreate successful products made by companies that actually develop these devices. This company brings nothing to the table but bad knockoffs. And still manages to be unable to deliver a functional product.

Non riesco a trovare l’opzione per aggiornare il firmware del isteady pro 4. Il resto funziona tutto abbastanza bene. Sarebbe comunque bello poter aggiornare il firmware.
Live function not working
RTMP screen won’t allow me to click “sure” to push stream. I double checked and triple checked my RTMP… it looks like it’s not registering my click. Super frustrating as I’m trying to go live using my gimbal mobile+ tonight 🙃tried to find an email to email support but couldn’t find one so I’ve resorted to a review 😬
Gimbal Top | Software Flop
Grundsolide Gimbal für Einsteiger und Privatpersonen. Spaß und Qualität garantiert. Die Software brauch allerdings dringend ein Update, um das oben Genannte auch im vollen Maße zu gewährleisten. Ein Handygewicht von 280g preisen, aber die Software gibt meinem 13pro max keine Chance. Dort nochmal ansetzen und dann gibt es 5⭐️, denn Preis/Leistung top.
Works perfectly
Don’t freak out on that pinned review I don’t know why it’s the top review. Just download it April 20 22. Bluetooth connected very quickly photos in videos download directly to photo app on iOS. Works great!
Broken on IOS
Moon allow you to do motion labs with time greater than 30 seconds. The other time options are grayed out, which makes the gimbal unusable for my purposes.
What’s the problem?
Got my Hohem gimbal yesterday and spent time with it and the app last night and today. I have to say that all the problems being reported below must have been fixed with one of the numerous updates that have come out. The videos saved directly into my phone (not the app), it didn’t crash once, and the directions and interface is fairly intuitive. Two slight issues that kept me from giving it 5 stars: 1) every time I powered it up I had to calibrate the gimbal, which may or may not be normal? The directions don’t say. 2) sometimes the “double tap” to record didn’t work, so I had to tap the record icon on the phone’s screen. The longest video I took was about 2 1/2 minutes so I don’t know if long videos cause a problem. Stabilization was good, maybe not great but what do you expect out of a $90 gimbal? Anyway, I like it.

Sometimes if a video is over 3 minutes the app will say error saving and you lose the footage without it attempting to even try to save it again.
Motion time lapse not working
Motion time laps wasn’t working and was the only thing that let this gimbal down. I only gave it one star review but after I removed the App and reloaded it. Now it works fine. Now the Gimbal is FAB 👍

Application mise à jour aujourd’hui
Ayant reçu mon isteady mobile plus il y a quelques jours, j’étais très déçu de voir que l’application n’était pas fonctionnelle sur mon iPhone 11. Mais que surprise de voir une mise à jour arrivée ce jour!!! Elle corrige le beug d’association en Bluetooth. Maintenant, toutes les fonctionnalités sont opérationnelles. Merci pour cette mise à jour.
Great features, terrible saving
The app overall, for my liking, is great. Does everything I would like it to. Though, aside from facial and object tracking, the standard camera app exceeds it. This app would have received at least a 4 stars from me if the save feature wasn’t terrible. The app can save photos, panoramas and videos up to 4 minutes just fine for me. Anything past that and I get the “insufficient memory” issue. I have well over 30GB of free storage on my device. So this may be allotted storage for the app itself? According to the quick pop-up that is visible for a second (at most), it suggests that you go into your files app or connect your phone to a computer to obtain the video. Good luck finding it in your files; so you’re best off plugging it into your computer and dragging it off iTunes (if you’re a Microsoft user). I was able to successfully download my video that way (I needed to get a HEVC extension software to play it). ***A word of warning, it seems the app saves the video in a temporary storage location. Meaning, if you “reload” the app, the video goes “poof.” So be careful of that.

Just got the Gimbal and App. So far so Good but, please Add 25Fps and 50Fps in All Resolutions!

I assume the bad reviews were because of an earlier release, but for me it works just great! Nice app with some fun options, works great with the isteady!

A me non va malissimo, quasi tutte le funzioni vanno bene. L’unica cosa è il time lapse con rotazione che non va bene, e l’algoritmo per le panoramiche non è proprio il top. Comunque i produttori mi hanno scritto che la stanno aggiornando. Speriamo.

L’app è utilizzabile, per ora non ho riscontrato nessun tipo di bug (provata con iPhone XR). Potrebbe essere sicuramente lanciato un aggiornamento che renda l’applicazione più chiara e intuitiva, in modo da poter scoprire anche le modalità di registrazione più nascoste, senza dover vedere tutorial su youtube guidi l’utente all’utilizzo. Il cambiamento da una modalità ad un’altra è piuttosto macchinoso. In conclusione l’app è sufficiente, priva di bug. Sfruttabile e senz’altro indispensabile per chi possiede uno stabilizzatore Hohem iSteady Mobile+.

I just received my Hohenzollern gimbal and no problem setting it up as I have familiarise with this on YouTube. I’m in the process of downloading the app and just decided to see what earlier users feel about app. It’s scary as it seems app is a failure , not allowing the best from the use of gimbal. All the reviews had 1*, except an accidental 5*. This should be a worry to the app developer and move to rectify the common faults experienced . Seit dem Neusten Update, ist eine BluetoothVerbindung nicht mehr möglich. Das Hohem iSteady Mobile Plus lässt sich nur unter iOS bei Bluetooth verbinden und die App zeigt das Gerät ohne Verbindung an. So ist zwar die App als Camera benutzbar, jedoch haben die Tasten für Zoom/Auslöser/Video keine Funktion. Das ist inakzeptable. Von anderen Herstellern der gleichen Preisklasse, funktioniert es doch, warum hier nicht?

No problems connecting Bluetooth on this app if you are coming from the other app called Hohem Gimset and having difficulty establishing a Bluetooth connection with the app, this one will work!
Gimbal doesn’t work
Ok. Many of the app features are useless when the phone is spinning freely. A gimbal should smooth out motion, not increase it. As for the app, I couldn’t control features from the gimbal. So, useless as far as I am concerned. I hope the store will let me return and upgrade …

Abstürze und Fehlfunktion
Die App stürzt gern mal ab und die Funktion „ Motionlaps“ funktioniert nur teilweise, da die gewählten Punkte nicht immer angefahren werden, oder das gimbal einfach still steht! Bitte um neues Update

TERRIBLE. Better off using iPhone camera
I got the stabilizer that goes with their app and decided to test it out, so I could do zooming and whatnot during an interview I was conducting. Well, it turns out that the file was “too big” to save in the app and never saved in my videos. It instead saved to a folder in files on my iPhone. I though, ok that’s fine, it’s safe there. Well I was wrong, because the next time I opened the app it deleted the files from my iPhone. Poof, gone. Not in recently deleted folder, just completely gone. This is an awful app, with an awful design and may well cause you to lose precious work. This app has cost me more time and money that the whole gimbal cost in the first place. I’d avoid this app at all costs.

Ich würde gerne schreiben „macht was sie soll“. Leider stürzt die App auch in der Version 1.0.29 immer wieder ab. Die Steuerung (Aufnahme starten/stoppen) funktioniert nicht. Interessanterweise hat alles vor ca. 6 Wochen noch gut funktioniert. Aber dann kamen updates sowohl für iOS als auch App und seitdem gibt es mit der App Probleme.
IOS13 support on iPhone 11
Looking forward to trying this out but app crashes when trying to connect via BT. I see the unit available but when I press it to connect - crash, and back to the home screen. Gimbal works fine but the BT connectivity is a must to truly get the most out of this unit.
