From a momma’s heart!
This app keeps my nerves calm and allows me to capture images of my child’s camp experience. Love, love, love this!
Letters can’t be send
The keyboard suggestion words cover the send button. This is total lack of testing
Good app to watch your camper having fun & communicate with them
This is a pretty good app for keeping in touch while your camper is away from home. The facial recognition is pretty neat, and uncannily accurate. If I had only one complaint about the app, it would be the inability to view pics in landscape mode - as it is now, if you are even slightly zoomed in on portrait mode, you cannot advance to the next picture.
Difficult with multiple camps
It’s been very glitchy lately and signs me out constantly. When it works it’s great, it has great facial recognition. One issue is if you have kids at multiple camps it’s very cumbersome to switch back and forth.
Face recognition
The system is having trouble Finding one of my kiddos
Great app
What a cool app
Keeps crashing
Just downloaded to see my kids at camp and it keeps crashing. I’ve had to delete and reinstall 4 times now. It also won’t let me buy a season pass. Very frustrating. The camp used to use Bunk1, which was fine.

Tags most pics, but you can’t untag pics where the tagged is just in the background.
Best APP ever.
So wonderful to pick up my phone and see how happy my child is through pictures. ❤️
Coping of missing my child
Great- truly helped with my coping of my missing child. Recommended 👍
Buggy and won’t even open!
I used to love this app to check out my kids’ photos while they have been away at camp, and for the last week it has been too buggy to open, it completely crashes, it won’t get past the splash screen with logo. Extremely frustrated. I also feel as though the facial recognition quality has gone done. Last summer, the app could spot my child a mile away in the largest of crowds. This summer, I’m getting tagged in pics of other people’s kids, and many of my own kids’ photo appearances are missed — despite using the camera to take a photo of their faces head on or changing out their profile photos with other pics. Lately I’ve had to go to my kids’ camp website photo gallery and sift through the old way, and I really miss the convenience and functionality of the Campanion app. I hope the app will work better soon!
App limitations vs website
Not sure why the app limits visibility to some things. For example, I have 2 kids and niece and nephew in camp. I was granted permissions to write emails to my niece/nephew, and view pictures they were tagged in. I can do all this in the website (although it’s very slow to load). But in the app, I can only email and see tagged pictures of MY kids. This is annoying for myself, as well as other friends/family members. The app is worthless for grandparents or anyone that is not a DIRECT parent. They would not have access to email or see tagged pictures. Please update the permissions/visibility to mimic the website! This has been the case for the past 5 years, since I started using the app
High quality downloads
The images downloaded are much higher resolution than the other apps I’ve used. Probably the most important feature for me!
Update fail
I just updated the latest version of this app and now I cannot open it. My kids have been at camp for one week - with 2 to go!! - and now I cannot see any pictures of them. I’m very unhappy.
Good in theory, leaves something to be desired
The AI photo search isn’t really that great. Also, the app should just have the email updates within it, instead of making you leave the app to sign into a different website
Great app
This app is great to use, very user friendly and I love the facial recognition. That is for sure the best part. Amazing how accurate it is.
Slow and Glitchy
Love the concept and it’s great with the facial recognition, but it spins too long and it signs me out randomly.
Amazing app!!!
This app was so easy to use! It did an amazing job recognizing my child’s face to find her photos. I had 0 issues with navigating, starring, and downloading my child’s camp photos!!
Great App, But Flawed
I am grateful for this app keeping me in touch with my daughter while she is away at camp. I don’t think I could’ve survived like my parents had to with no pictures and barely communication. That being said, it is extremely aggravating. It takes a few moments for the app to even open, it doesn’t refresh well, and the videos don’t load, if you want to skip ahead. The face recognition is pretty cool, but don’t rely on it! I would’ve missed so many photos of my daughter had I trusted the face recognition. So it’s a great app. It just needs work. I should mention that it was a lot better last summer for some reason.
My heart has been joyful
While my kids have been in camp I’ve felt 100% connected through Campanion. I’ve read blog posts, daily updates, seen hundreds of photos and my kids get tagged because it recognizes their faces. So it’s the first thing I see before navigating the full posted albums. Total awesomeness! Don’t hesitate to get the best out of this app!
Great…When it Works
The app is wonderful, it’s lovely to have camper email and photos in one place, and the facial recognition is a game changer. That said, it feels a bit buggy. It does not seem to work at all when the phone is in low power mode. It has been slowing down lately, and crashing. I haven’t even been able to get past the splash screen for the past two days. Prior to that, I noticed the following issues: The photo stream isn’t very useful, and feels like a less good version of the photos tab, that doesn’t let you scroll easily from photo to photo. Usually, it stops communicating correctly with autocorrect about half way through an email, making touch screen typing very difficult. Additionally, when you tap on a notification to see a photo or letter, it doesn’t always go to the right place, and sometimes you get stuck or the app crashes.
Love Campanion!
It enabled us to follow our grandson’s adventures at Camp Ridgecrest!
Letters from Camper
We didn’t receive the written letters of our daughter. We called camp and the problem was with the app. Not with them. We were waiting to get some news and they told us that actually she had written two letters but the app didn’t uploaded them. The had to send them via mail attachment
Great App
This app is wonderful. Being able to get notifications and see pictures of all the fun going on keeps me connected. The letter-writing function is really nice.
Amazing platform
Love the ease of use of this app! Finally one not overly complicated and or at least very well run!
