Awesome app
I am loving it
Be careful when using this company
Be very careful if using this company. I was charged to the card attached to my account without prior notification when I believed I had cancelled my account prior. I contacted the company immediately and was refused a full refund, despite not having accessed or utilised any of their information or signed into their app. I found this extremely disappointing, very sneaky and would not recommend this company. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.
Best meal plan guide EVER
I am absolutely loving this apps meal plans and guidance on macros and calories! I was super worried that I’d be restricted on eating things I’d like or eating hardly anything. BUT, the apps weekly plans are so great. I feel like I’m eating huge amounts, the yummiest foods, I’ve opted for easy meals - so they’re easy recipes to prepare and have prepped for the week so I’m not thinking/stressing about it. I’ve already lost over 4kg in 11 days and I’m eating 3 big meals, plus three snacks a day! It’s not restrictive and I’ve learned so so so much already! I’m so excited to see where the rest of this journey takes me, how much more I learn, and to see the transformation continue. Highly recommend this app for anyone interested in getting top notch meal plans with plenty of options, and all while getting in shape!
So many mistakes
So many mistakes in recipes and in the macros 😞
Check in and recipes
I wish there was a part of the app to access all recipes not just the week provided under the weekly plan. Also there’s only the option to complete check in on a Monday which is hard when working..
2 weeks in and loving it.
I’m 2 weeks in to the equ meal plan and down 2.8kg already. There is plenty of variety on the menu each week. The meals are easy to prepare and cook also they’re not boring and bland. I signed on for 12 months and so far I’m loving it. It takes the pressure off working out what to eat. I highly recommend it.
Overpriced and hard to use
For the monthly cost, I would expect the app to be easy to use. It felt like a testing platform, hard to navigate and could not find recipes or eating plan, so never engaged with it. Overpriced and won’t be renewing after month.
Forever grateful
I have never found something that allows me the flexibility to eat the foods I love while also assisting me achieve my weight loss goals. I have been using Equ loosely to lose weight postpartum for several months now and so far I’m 7kgs down. I say loosely as weekends tend to let me down sometimes, but that’s on me, not the app. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars and not 5 is because I wish I could add two lots of meal preferences each week for each meal. I find setting myself up each day at the start of the week really helps me succeed, though don’t like how it’s the same meal breakfast, lunch and dinner for 7 days, then sometimes I go off track towards end of week. You can manually enter additional meals but would just be a lot more streamline if you had the option when submitting check in details each week. Cannot recommend this app enough though, it’s crazy to believe just from eating well, your weight drops off. Thanks again Equ Team. I will be forever grateful Mari
New Apps Bugs make it not worth it
Loved equalution prior to the newest rebrand, the new apps bugs make it almost unusable some days and I really dislike the new layout for meals compared to the old one. Won’t be renewing my subscription at this rate
Happy customer
I have been using Equ for less than a month love it so far, the meal plan makes it so easy to stay on track. The only issue I find so far is that when it is check in day you can’t just log your weight you have to log measurements, some days I don’t have enough time to measure everything.
Can’t cancel subscription
Don’t sign up unless you set a reminder to cancel before the next subscription renewal. They don’t give any warning about the next payment due date and if you try to cancel on the first day of the next billing cycle and there’s not enough in York account to pay the subscription, they remove the cancel subscription functionality until you’ve paid. And their terms and conditions say they can recover debts however they want.
V good
Have had great personalised programs, great feedback and advice from coach, and great recipes. The app can be a bit clunky a times, but it can be overlooked for how good the program is! I can also see in their Facebook group that they’re doing usability testing and we’re asking about new features, so it appears they are investing into the app as well.
Disappointed
The new ‘upgrade’ to the app is terrible. I’ve been using Equalution for a couple years, at the start lost weight , I haven’t lost weight in over 6 months now. You spend ages swapping meals to something you might actually like only for the next time you go on for it to be reverted back to the original plan. Do not like the new app one bit the old version was way more user friendly. The staff leave plenty to be desired. Not very helpful and can get a feeling of judgment and are very short like your bothering them. Seems the more popular they get the less helpful, less understanding and unwilling to help. Dissapointed.
Life changing!
After multiple attempts at trying to loose weight by different methods and trying to find the motivation to actually stick to anything I tried Equalution. I can easily say that Equalution allowed me to reach my weight goal over a healthy amount of time without restricting the food I loved. The app was extremely easy to use and the recipes provided are absolutely delicious. After reaching my weight goal I have continued to adapt the healthy eating habits I learnt with this app into my daily life to help maintain my weight. I love that I was still able to go out and enjoy takeaway meals with my family and easily track what I was eating. I feel so much healthier and happier now!
Disappointed
So disappointed with the company. Signed up for 3 months with a discount which I thought was a once off payment and didn’t realise I would automatically be put on reoccurring payments after the 3 months. No reminder to say they would be charging me another 3 months. Asked for a refund as I didn’t even use the first 3 months but they declined and offered me 25% back. Just be aware they put you on reoccurring payments.
Honest review
I am really enjoying the Equalution program. The meals are so enjoyable and I am actually sticking to the program because I don’t feel like I am missing out of enjoying food. I love that you can request meals to be put in my plan. The only thing I wish was like an area to look at all the meals so I could get more of an idea of foods that I could request in my plans. Overall I’m loving it and can see myself sticking to this long term
Idea great, app and design not so great
I have had a lot of success so I don’t want this to take away from how good this idea/program is. However, I have a few irks. Firstly, the pictures. I choose recipes based on the look. So when I make my meal and realise the photo was actually really different I’m bitterly disappointed. No, it’s not my cooking skills hah. It’s the actual false images of the recipes. I don’t get it. Is it too hard to get accurate images of the meals? If there’s no onion in the recipes why are their onion pieces throughout the photo? Surely, your recipe tasting, can’t you take a pic? Secondly, it’s difficult to find some ingredients between stores and I can easily find alternatives. But sometimes the ingredient is kinda vague. The coleslaw lettuce mix. Does that mean just coleslaw or is it a blend of coleslaw and lettuce. I don’t know and I get confused. I only am writing this in hopes maybe these tiny changes could be made. But otherwise you guys are killing it and I’ve learnt so so much. Thank you.
Loving the meals
The meals are easy, delicious and my family loves it as well
Tacky cash grab
Did an 8 week challenge, unaware that they automatically put you on a subscription and direct debit you, extremely difficult to find where to cancel it on the app they are deliberately being deceptive and making it difficult to cancel
It’s ok
There isn’t much to say but it’s ok. The app is super glitchy and the coaching support upgrade is pretty lame.
Great results
For the first time in my life I have lost weight without feeling like I’m on a diet. The meals are so delicious and easy to make and I still get to enjoy all the foods I love.
Cancel
I’ve looked absolutely everywhere multiple times and for the life of me cannot find the settings bar to cancel my subscription. It shouldn’t be this difficult.
Hmmmn
Great app for the rich!
Super easy and motivating
Love it! Very user friendly app. I like the accountability of the weekly check in reminders and the flexibility of following the meal plan or adding my own meal to track the macros / calories. It’s slowly teaching me how to cope with unexpected occasions/dining experiences etc.
Don’t signup to promos
I am trying to cancel after doing a promotion offer but now can’t cancel the thing. Next step is to get my bank to stop payment.
Idk
Seems interesting and helpful but it’s crraazzzzzyyyy expensive! Just go get a personal trainer for less.
Game Changer
Amazing love the conscience and ease of not thinking about meals and what to meal prep. I’ve been meal prepping for a few years and was tired of thinking and calculating everything myself. Not only are the meals yummy but they are super easy and family friendly
Exceptionally sneaky auto renewal
I cancelled my account 1 year ago and was still charged with an annual renewal. am now fighting the company for my money back.
Best app I have ever used!!
Equalution is so easy when it comes to the meals, I was only disappointed with 1 recipe and all l had to do was simply swap it for another meal. I legit save at least $100 on my weekly groceries. I have been using Equalution for 4 weeks now and have paired my routine with the ‘30 30 30 Weight Loss’ routine, which is; 30grams of protein, ingested within 30 minutes of waking up, followed by 20 minutes of STEADY CARDIO. I have lost 2.5kg with these 2 things. I am not a promoter, I’m not a salesman. I am simply a person who has struggled with weight loss my entire life. I thrive on helping people with the same struggles as me so my name is Maggie Sier, message me or find me on WhatsApp, Facebook and instagram.
Extremely expensive and too many barriers to cancel
A glorified calorie counter app! Not worth the money. Plus I have never had so many notifications when trying to cancel a subscription! Poor form! Do not recommend.
Worth it!
Love this app!! As a busy mum of 3 kids working shift work I love the simplicity of having meals decided for me and it’s motivated be to become fitter and healthier ☺️
Auto renewal
Auto renewal of app in 6 monthly period without notice is not ideal. No longer use the app as lack flexibility in adjusting calories.
