App does not work on IPhoneX
App does not work on IPhoneX with IOS 16.7.16 (as per 27 Aug 2026), developer need to change the compatibility list of devices.
Long registration
I already paid and took care of booking . When checking in I had to manually input all of the information for my family (6 of us) into their downloadable app. All other hotel require the person paying to do it. Ridiculous truly! Then it asked my family members to enter their visa number. They don’t have visa numbers because they are visiting from America. I couldn’t submit their info until I came up with a visa number. Frustrating
Umständliche App
Umständliche App.
>500 MB
Great Hub
My stay was great, from cordial receptionist to meeting great and polite guest.
4 Bettzimmer im a&o Hostel in Aachen
It’s perfectly fine
The hostel/ hotel is completely fine. I stayed in a single room and it was good, nothing special. The toilet has been through some stuff but for that price, it’s fine. The staff was very helpful and friendly tho!! Amazing service.
Bitte !!!! Wieso wurde dieser entfernt ???
To retrieve booking option not working
Can’t you the retrieve booking option. When I click to it to insert the booking, it just closes all together
Argentinian customer/guest
Liza has helped me since the first day, thanks god you have her in this place.
Kosten
Horror Show
Stayed at the Copenhagen hotel for 3 nights from Monday to Wednesday with my wife and 2 children 6 and 9. We arrived at 1am, Rooms are clean but we had to make beds ourselves. Staff were great, I had a hypo and one was a great help. 3rd night was a horror movie. People constantly running up and down the halls screaming, banging doors constantly. I can only assume they were a big group who knew each other and trying to wind each other up. This went on from 8pm to 3pm. Might have continued beyond then but we had a 6am flight to catch. This meant we had no sleep all night and unfortunately I wouldn’t reccomend staying in an A&O hostel to anyone. I know it’s a hostel and I can accept noise up until around 10/11pm or on weekends but this was a midweek on a Wednesday. Sure it’s great if you’re a student.
Great hostel
Great for the price

Super godt
Buggy & stressful
Refuses to accept valid email addresses, generally a stressful experience when trying to book into your accommodation.
Spam
36 Nachrichten innerhalb weniger Minuten. Nervig
Schnell gebucht
Einfach, gut strukturiert und leicht zu buchen.
Misery
Clunky, weird UI, and a ridiculous check-in experience. Wrestle all your personal info into the app to check in, then wait for an eternity while staff members manually do everything you did on the app anyways. Ultimate example of just making everything worse by poorly implementing a digital solution and calling it modern. Just start over
steals your money
I booked a room via booking.com and got messages via that from a&o asking me to check-in via the a&o app, so I got the app, went through the check-in process which asked me to pay in full, was taken to a blank page with no confirmation after I paid, but the payment was pending on my credit card app. I explained this to the hotel reception staff who called head office or someone and since the app never put a payment confirmation on their system they took payment from my card via booking.com. So I was charged twice for the same room, and twice for late check out. The app just steals your money! I’m trying to get a refund (and having to get a&o support emails translated from German)
Mega mies
Love to stay in A & O
It is great experience live in dorms or private room. Safe and clean environment. I prefer to stay in a&o instead of hotels unless required .
Can’t login
Would not allow me login with my email address that ended in .co.uk. They seem to assume all email address should ended in .com
Sehr verschlechtert
Naja.
Very Good
It is a good and simple app to use.
App Is Awful
One star because they want you to check in via the app but it won’t let you if your email address isn’t a a.com or .de email address. A fundamental flaw with the app. Absolutely useless app and a really useless support system too. They tell you just to check in at the hostel. That’s all well and good when you don’t have 20 people doing the same thing
Good
Well worth for the money
Waste of time
Trying to check in- app just gives spinning timers and the occasional unhelpful error message. Useless - avoid.
So slowww
jfc, the info on the app is fine, but the number of screens required to check in and the speed at which they open is ridiculous!
