How to decide if so little time to?
I know it is understandable that when trying the free trial, I won’t get all the perks, I understand it wouldn’t be better than buying the full game, but I feel as though they could’ve at least given another scenario and the timeframe be extended by 30 years at least, as a free trial at least is a short, one map, one scenario, & little to adjust. I feel as though if said things were to happen, it would help me further contemplate and decide if I should buy the game or not. As the short pacific coast map and short timeframe does not. not like they’re actually gonna listen, I’m just expressing how I feel
AI players stop playing
Even on the hardest difficulty setting, the AI players stop upgrading trains after a few years (if they upgrade at all), so that winning a game can seem slightly hollow. If you can make it past 20-30 years, the opponent effectively gives up.

Fun railway simulator
Complex and fun, this gives a lot to focus on building rails, routes and businesses. I wish the track tool was better at explaining why connected depots are unavailable for train routes… many factors can cause this and it typically doesn’t explain which reason applies
No tutorial
Sadly this game no longer provides a tutorial and unlike other games does not have a pop up advisor to explain as you go. So I have no idea if it is a good game or not.
Restricted rail stations
The game controls were you can place your stations. I would like more freedom to choose.
If you love the original from 2006
Very faithful port of the original one. Basically identical as someone who still occasionally plays the PC version. Controls take a little bit to get used to as it is touch screen. Do try it before you buy.
Poor not worth your time if you’re a die hard fan.
This game is lacking basic abilities to convert resources to goods, a poor iteration of the original rail rod tycoon.
Great game small world
Love this game, only issue is the world is small. After taking over other barons there really is no “next step” in which I could expand the rail world

Having to connect train lines is annoying on touch screen. It’s confusing and then you are demolishing lines and wasting money because it wasn’t lined up correctly. For beginners, instructions are not clear as to what to focus on. Objectives are somewhat random and don’t focus you on building an empire. I can see why folks may enjoy it but it was far from enjoyable for me.
Good game not without flaws
Really enjoying this game, played it many times. Building the tracks is frustrating though, merging tracks or joining tunnels often results in a lack of connection. Build a fishery station and it thinks you trying to build it over water and won’t let you. Despite that it is a very good game and enjoyable.

The game is great but you have to purchase to play the hole game. It is unfair in my opinion.But other than that it’s pretty good (5 stars)
This app sucks😡
Why? Make the full game 13 bucks Lower the price😡 why not just use ads or something? that would’ve been better. and the 20 years the game promised us. that only felt like one minute.

Would like to see more difficult, or larger / custom maps. It would be cool to also have longer playtime in terms of years or infinite (2000s+)

I have the Mac version of the game, shame I don’t get the same game for my phone. Some things are better and some more awkward to rapidly grow.

I love strategy games but needed to watch the YouTube tutorial just to be able to lay a track because tapping and holding wasn't doing anything basically not intuitive at all

Spiel macht Spass, stürzt insbesondere bei fortgeschrittenen Spielständen dann aber häufig ab. Scheint ein Problem zu sein, dass die Entwickler leider nicht in Griff bekommen. Wurde schon häufiger von berichtet. Schade

For some reason I keep losing money every time my trains stop at a depot. Why does it do this? I quit with somehow -200,000$!

Nett, aber noch viel zu verbessern
Das Spielprinzip ist gut, aber großes Verbesserungspotenzial: 1) es gibt keine Anzeige, die dabei helfen würde festzustellen, ob eine Strecke einen Ort tatsächlich berührt (und ein Depot platziert werden könnte) oder nur nah dran vorbeiführt. Der aufleuchtende grüne Kreis ist manchmal da obwohl man kein Depot setzen kann nach dem Abschluss der Strecke. 2) manchmal wird ein Depot angezeigt zum setzen, aber beim Versuch, es tatsächlich zu tun, heißt es "kann nicht im Wasser platziert werden". Ja was denn nun? 3) wenn eine Strecke im Tunnel endet, ist es sehr sehr schwierig, später ihr Ende zu erwischen zum Verlängern. Es muss eine Option geben, das Terrain auszublenden. 4) Abstürze 5) Abstürze 6) habe ich schon Abstürze erwähnt? 7) manchmal bleiben Züge vor einem Depot einfach stehen. Sie warten nicht auf einen anderen Zug, da es keine weiteren Züge zu diesem Depot gibt, sie bleiben einfach stehen. 8) manche Ziele sind fehlerhaft: so ist z.B. "kaufe 20% von jeder anderen Linie" nicht mehr erfüllbar wenn ein Konkurrent den anderen vorher aus dem Markt kauft. 9) warum muss ich mir jedes Mal die Startanimation ansehen, und ca. 27 mal tippen, bis alle Animationen übersprungen sind? Reicht es nicht, dies beim 1. Start anzuzeigen? Fürs Konzept gibt es 2 Sterne, den Rest - wenn die obigen Punkte behoben sind. Diese sind für ein teures Spiel nicht hinnehmbar.

This game is good overall. For the most part it’s fully featured and has many nice touches. However there are few things holding it back from being truly great. - One way track or better yet signals would be very helpful - Better track / depot connections - An option for longer games - More complex buyout mechanics, it should be more complex / fun to architect a buyout of a larger company rather than just saving up money - Above all else, far more complex supply chains, up to something similar to Steel Town FIRS in OpenTTD (Transport Tycoon) - Multiplayer lobbies - A wider variety of trains including high speed - A campaign - A few more maps / scenarios (Asia?) - More messages from the other AIs in game These would easily add significantly more gameplay to the game. I’d easily pay $15-$20 for these features. A good game sure, especially with all the small charming touches, but not quite great.

Ein ganz tolles Spiel, leider kommt es immer wieder zu Problemen bei der Darstellung. Auch die Skalierung kann einen zum Wahnsinn treiben. Gelegentliche Totalabstürze inklusive. Das kann man sicherlich deutlich verbessern !!

Reliving my younger days!
This is one of my all time favorite games. The depth of play is fantastic. I used to play it on my PC, now on the Apple tablet. Can play for hours…. or at least until I’m asked if I’m going to play that game all night. Well worth the $12.99 for the full version👌
More like stressful tycoon game
You have to have sharp practice to play this game, and I don’t like that.

Fun premise. Great graphics and physics. Somewhat one-note once played a few times. I still like it!
Good when it doesn’t crash
I was looking forward to playing this on iPad. When it works it’s great, but crashes too often. Screen goes blank and iPad has to be rebooted, whist plugged in. Very disappointing for a game at this price.

I was charged $34.15 for the full game in app purchase instead of the $13 I agreed to.
Overall Great
Really a great game overall. Extremely playable, very challenging at higher difficulty settings. Not sure it’s totally worth the money—for an app it’s pricey. Will there be updates coming, or seasonal levels available throughout the coming year? I will certainly keep playing to find out.
Not as good as it could be......
Played the old game and this is pretty but without challenges and senirios (which I remember from the old version) everything is a bit samey. The maps get into an absolute mess as the trains get stuck and the AI build over you.... It's just a bit disappointing.

The game is good and all but for some reason, when I purchased the full game I was tricked into buying a subscription for privacy protection.
You need a mouse.
Bought this since it is the same company that makes the 10/10 Xcom2 port. While this game functionally works fine on my iphone (15 pro/max), I found it too frustrating using my finger to draw the rails. Phone screen is too small for this, perhaps if you have an Ipad that might be a better way to play this game. The demo cut off "just before" things got technical enough in-game to really show how using your finger is more frustrating than fun. Requested a refund.
