I love the game only problem I got is the first one should be free so people can try the game out first instead of buying the first one to see u gotta buy the second or vice verse lol
Trade Post menu will not open
Fun game so far but the trade menu has never opened for me. Clearly it’s a bug. I’ve uninstalled and started several new games. I’ve built ships, that I’ve ever only partially seen built in the dock, but the counter shows 5. Then build a Trade Post that only makes a click sound when I select it. I can’t finish the game without it. I’d like it to work or my $5 back. Thanks
Fun but needs
An update please. My lil peeps keep getting stuck and then dying of starvation or sleep deprivation. Please add more content so I can keep my city growing :) Thanks
Fun but with Critical Bug
The game is fun to play however as you advance and unlock the sailing function and start to clear the surround islands the game has a bug that doesn’t let you select the final 2 islands. It always redirects you either off world or to a totally different island. This bug prevents you from finishing the game and seeing how it ends. A true let down for what I would have given a 5 star game.
Good but buggy
I have a situation on day 195 where the enemies spawning are attack buildings and hurting my guard tower guards and they can’t fight back.
Wow
The graphics are absolutely stunning, and the game play is solid. I mean, it does lack in a couple minor areas. There is no animation for guards getting on/off of the guard tower. I also get relatively attached to the little guys that guard my little city, and I’m sad that they just land in the dirt face first, and their battle buddies don’t remove them from the battle field. I dunno. It’s a great game, I play it all the time and it very quickly became one of my favorites. I’d really love to see a couple animations added, but other than that, the game is a masterpiece for $5.
Wasted hours of playtime
Have spent the entire day trying to play this. The first time I put about 5 hours in and after a while noticed I couldn’t do anything with my trading dock. After some research it is a known bug and the only thing to do is to restart as you can’t even click on the trading dock to destroy it and try again. So I tried a second playthrough. And again the trading dock is inoperable. Complete waste of money, game does not function properly.

Ok, but no depth
This game is more of a light sim and less of a city building or defense strategy than I was hoping. Monsters are generic and defenses are very basic. You assign troops with one of three weapons but there’s no planning or strategy to it. Building your town, you can slightly optimize by your choice of building placement but again you can’t really do it wrong and either way you get basically the same result. No replay ability.
You get playtime, but also bugs and poor mobile design
Perks of this game is you’ll get plenty of playtime for your buck, with an ad free experience, no arcade token purchases, etc. My biggest frustration while sinking time into this game has been some poor design for mobile users. You are expected to nail really small icons in a crowded field to get to what you need, the macro-level views are limited, and there aren’t any macro-level adjustments you can make (redistribute weapons, auto assign optimal tools if available, etc). Combined with the need to reassign all of a villager’s tools again if you switch them between production jobs vs combat jobs and it becomes tedious. My second biggest complaint is obvious bugs/jank. There are more than a handful, and they all interfere with this being an enjoyable experience.

No real strategy. Just a lot of button pushing.
I played the game for about 5 to 6 hours. I found myself just equipping guards for the night and un-equipping them for the day. It got to the point where it was nighttime by the time I finished un-equipping guards and daytime the finished time I finished equipping them. This seemed to be a very effective strategy, and became very tedious after a while, and I got bored of the game.
Lots of potential
It is a great game but has a specific glitch that make it frustrating to play. The settlers get stuck and never enter their homes, causing lack of sleep as well as easy prey at night. Would like to see some decor. Options to change how some things look as they advance. I’m excited to see how this progresses.
The idea is good, but the execution is poor.
The game glitches a lot, characters get killed just because they get stuck in structures, it happens all the time, ruins the whole gaming experience. Deleting it.
Later-game bug?
Fun mechanics, but on IOS, the trading dock isn’t always selectable, making ships useless. Others have reported this as well, and the only solution appears to be reinstalling the game, which isn’t much of a bug-fix. What gives?

Don’t do it. Glitchy. Not worth the price. Wish it had more features to see what the villagers were lacking (tool or cart, etc) instead of clicking on every single one to see their statuses. Graphics are subpar. Copy paste job. I wish there were a few sentences about all the different things you can do in the game. It’s not intuitive.

Good game ruined by bugs
A fun, moody take on city building, but once the town starts getting dense, characters frequently get stuck in buildings (particularly after battles) where they’ll eventually starve to death if the building is not destroyed. Makes the game unplayable.
Faulty game dynamics
It’s cute, the visuals are indie and overall it’s a good variation on RTS. I love these types of games, but unfortunately there’s too many bugs with this one. At first it isn’t obvious but then you quickly start to see that things aren’t working as they should and the UI/UX is awful. A lot of tapping to opening tiny windows with difficult to ready text. Fabricating 10 armor but the guards never wear them. Fabricating a bow but you need bowmanship master skill, but there is not skill selection UI. Most of the game ends up managing the guards who patrol the area and die easily from various attacks. And mitigating those loses by using other workers (like blacksmith or hunter), which becomes tedious. I tried to play the game where I stayed indoors the whole time. I went 160 days before mega creatures appear and destroy my village. Even at 160 days, the best building was a trade shipyard. But there was no one trade with so it made no sense. Also there’s no obvious way to brew wine or forge steel. $4.99 is a bit high for this type of gameplay. I would have expected something more intuitive.

Honestly I really do love playing this game. It’s fun and I like the freedom you have in building everything. However, the game constantly crashes. I really want to play it but no point when I can only have it open for 2 minutes at a time. PLEASE FIX these bugs.
Game is currently seriously bugged
It’s impossible to finish the game due to issues with the island exploration screen. Sinking hours into a game that can’t be finished is so unsatisfying.
Worth buying but needs better explanations
This is a really cool game that starts off as a fun building and resource management sim. At higher levels, it gets confusing, though. For example, earlier in the game when you send your ships out, they’re all engaged in trading missions. Later, though, you suddenly find yourself in a dungeon without any way to retreat or better prepare your workers for those very different kinds of tasks. You *can* plow through blindly and learn by trial and error. However, more in-game documentation—like an info button for each building, resource or task, would make this game much, much better. The writing would also need to be made clearer at that point since what written info is available needs some significant editing. A very good effort overall with lots of replay value so definitely worth $5. To make it a truly great game, though, the devs need to give more clues to the player about how to actually play.
Glitchy
Game is quite fun until you get close to finishing it. Once there your ships will randomly go into the fog and never actually make it to the destination, and your guards at night will always run to the wood line (even with never run from a right and full solar equipped). All In all it’s not bad it’s just not good.

Disappointed
I greatly enjoyed the first one and completed it quickly because it was fun. I was looking forward to the sequel but quickly was disappointed. The second game is not fun at all and is quite boring. Wish I wouldn’t have wasted my money in the first place
Won’t stop crashing on me
I absolutely love this game, everything from the mechanics to the art style, but I find it really hard to enjoy it when I can’t go a single day in the game without massive lag spikes and an eventual crash. I know this might not be in the devs control but it seriously annoys me that I can’t play this masterpiece without being booted back to the Home Screen.

Great Game but too many crashes
I absolute love this game but as of lately the app has been crashing quite frequently Mali bf the playing experience a bit irritating. Otherwise this is amongst the best game I have ever played!
A prime example of success leading to disappointment
The Bonfire was a truly great game. Simple, but demanding and planning needed. The sequel is the single biggest example of the first games success ruining the second. Bigger doesn’t mean better. I’ll keep playing the original, thanks. You can keep this garbage.
Enjoyable but Unbalanced
Very fun and you can tell a lot of care was put into making this 2nd version. The camera can be frustrating at times since it seems to move at inappropriate times, however that is nowhere near as frustrating as the some difficulty balance shortly after hitting day 100. A large enemy can wipe out 8 armored guards in a blink and then new workers do not show up quickly enough to replenish them resulting in a downward spiral that you cannot pull out of. That said it is still a very fun game. I just don’t plan on making it too far past day 100 before having to start over.

Fun and Exciting Game but need More
I had tons of fun gathering resources and unlocking new buildings. I ended up beating the game after 2 days of playing which is where my problem arise. I didn’t have anything else to do after I beat the boss monster. If you can implement more ways of exploration or more random events or even adding diseases and such, it would make it more exciting.
Addictive game but lot to improve
Game is really fun and addictive. Some bugs there. Also need some improvements… can’t delete things from carpenter and blacksmith shop. Which makes thing critical. Also ability to save the game in cloud would be a great edition… Hope developers will check the game and make it better. Developers don’t look at the comments. There is no update for this game… there are lots of free game who maintains their games better… $5 is waste if they don’t release any update soon.

Junk
This game is Trash. I love strategy games, and this game started off fine. After numerous buildings proximity/selecting/managing became difficult. Then after 100 nights my food resources went to zero. I had many “manned” buildings that produced food, yet my production stayed at zero. I did what I could to mitigate the issue, but since the food store wouldn’t build back up Half of my population died of starvation, everything went down hill from there. Didn't make sense, maybe a glitch in game? Or designed to be lame who knows. But I deleted it Not worth my time.
Developers please read
Just got the game and grinded it out to day 60+ trying to build the rest of the archer towers and animal farms and more. I’ve had them placed to get built for a while. Builders only put the wood in and don’t finish it. Can’t seem to figure out why they won’t transfer iron or food into the buildings to finish it anymore. They just go to the loggers camp and say they are depositing resources all day. I am maxed out on iron and food so resources aren’t the problem. I can’t seem to find anyone else with this problem by reading other reviews or trying to look it up on google. Is there something I am missing? Please reach out or explain what I can do to try to fix the problem. Thank you
Great for a Week - then you’ll never play again
I really liked this game at first. Put a good 10 hours into or so, figuring out how the game worked and how to balance my villagers. But after a few hours you begin to realise how similar every single play through is. The same events happen, at almost the exact same time, every time. There’s not a lot of variety, and once you discover the most efficient methods the game becomes very linear and boring. With that said I loved the game up until that point. But the end game is so excruciatingly boring. Im usually the type of player to see how long my defenses could last etc - but in this game there’s really no point once you’ve built the temple. Im also hesitant to rate it higher since the devs haven’t even updated for over a year. Devs, please update this game!
Good but with a glaring issue.
Overall, it’s a fun, casual game. However, the problem with the guards running away as soon as certain enemies arrive makes Bonfire II unplayable past a certain point. Until the bug is fixed I probably will not play anymore.
Stuck at end
Great game with an amazing new update. But once you beat the final boss dungeon, nothing happens. Your troops are just stuck in a room and if you exit to city then you have to do the whole fight over again.
Broken glitchy mess
This game is awesome but is broken on the Ipad. The animations don’t t update correctly, things randomly disappear, the build screen is randomly missing structures and crafted items. Broken mess. Don’t waste your time. Unfortunate.
Fantastic game, slight bugs
Really enjoying playing this game, even on easy mode it can be a bit of a challenge. Rising and falling. Bit annoying that when an npc dies you can retrieve armour or weapons off them. So finally you get a good item you loose it straight away.
Unstable game. Crashes A LOT. 05/15/2022
When your town get larger, the game becomes so unstable that it crashes once every 2-3 minutes. With no updates in so long and the game unplayable, they should offer a refund. Buyer beware.
Ipad6 unplayable
Hopefully updates to the game will fix this but I can’t play beyond about day 40. The game constantly crashes even with the graphics turned to the lowest setting.
