Perfect. Simple and classic.
10/10 game, no annoying ads or popups, only ads are optional ones to get a hint etc. Lots of well organised levels with different difficulties, friendly user interface and really easy to navigate. Doesn’t eat your battery, ask for purchases or need Wi-Fi. Does what it says, and it does it very well!
Annoying
I’m not sure if it’s a bug or intentional but I struggle to delete a letter, in some cases it allows it, but not all the time. And it’s really annoying. It feels like I’m being used to test the app.

Using iPhone 14 Pro Max, yet have to wait at least one second when pressing keyboard for key to be entered.
Just new
Just installed this game. Have seen 1 advert and I’m on level 16 or so. That’s great…so far. The colour change didn’t work for me sadly. Overall, I’m happy so far. If my experience changes for the better as I move along, of course I’ll give more stars. Early yet 😉

The clues do not always correspond to the answers. Eg Clue; Alleviate or cure. Answer: medicine. I would have expected another verb, not a noun. I have deleted this & am searching for a better one.

I love this crossword app it really is the best I’ve tried I only wish they will add more puzzle to the easy category that I’ve completed.
Too few puzzles
After just a few weeks I have completed all the puzzles available. It would be great if there were more frequent updates with new puzzles.
PLEASE UPDATE!
The fact that it’s free and ad-free is brilliant, it’s hard to find a decent puzzle app that doesn’t bombard you with ads that ruin the flow of your game. But it loses stars based on the lack of updates regarding new puzzles. I’ve finished half of the difficulty levels but no new crosswords have been added which has been disappointing.

Review
Best crossword app I’ve tried. App doesn’t seem to automatically login to Game Center if the app is force quit and restarted though. It does retain login if it is relaunched from recent phone memory. Keep the puzzles coming.
Very Slow
It takes forever to verify each correct word. Half the time is wasted on waiting for the app to verify your correct answer. Frustrating

Answers often “far fetched” to the clue
Answers often are far-fetched from the clues. Has large variety of puzzles: easy, hard, themes, all starting with one letter. Deleting because Im tired of searching for obscure or barely related answers.
Too repetitive
Found after a time the words repeat in the crosswords and the clues are sometimes way too vague or nonsensical
Best crosswords app
Annoying ads kept to a minimum, loads of crosswords in many difficulty levels, it goes on to the next word when you guess right, so you don’t have to keep wondering if it’s the right word or not, and I have yet to receive a request for payment to keep playing, so it’s a no brainer
Rubbish hints
EG: “the time between dawn and noon” is apparently “morning,” but in actual fact, it’s the entirety of [am] that is referred to as morning, as well as the fact that some people say ‘morning, afternoon, evening and night. Hints need to be universally useful and accurate. There were a couple of others which were poor hints too. These were in the first 3 easy puzzles. I’m not going to spend hours staring at more difficult crosswords because creators can’t figure out good hints.

Frustratingly inaccurate.
The clues are frequently incorrect. The app in general shows a lack of understanding of the English language. The levels of difficulty are only more difficult due to increasingly bazaar, inaccurate and inappropriate clues.

I love this crossword game and play it every day. You get a few letters each day to help you, and a few when you complete a crossword. The themed crosswords are good too. Please can we have another set of themed puzzles.

Quite good
So far so good, puzzles are quite easy but get more challenging at the hard level. Only a couple of annoying ads have popped so far and I don’t really mind that as someone has to pay for the game just so long as they don’t get too frequent the game and I might get along well
To many ads
I love the game and would play it longer if it wasn’t for the ads and how long they are. There have been times when I thought something was wrong because the ad took so long to allow me to close it. Also on some of the ads when you finally have the x pop up to close the ad and you tap the x it take you straight to (on mine) the Apple Store to download whatever the ad was for. I know this is how you make money but this is beyond extreme please less ads and shorter time ad is displayed.

Good game 4/5
This game is really fun and is a great way to relieve stress. Totally recommend. But the thing is, most of this is really hard to solve, even easy. So if you could lower the difficulty a bit more, that would be perfect. Also, why are there ads in a game like this.
Frustrating
It’s reasonably good, but too often the answer bears no resemblance to the clue. Too many really obscure words. Sometimes they put in brackets US or UK when in fact the word is universal, for example, policeman ( US ) the answer is cop, police all over the world are known as cops, not just America.

Very good crossword app keeps you going back for more. Easy to use

Love this Crossword app, the best one I have tried. However I’ve completed a lot of the levels and would love them to update and add more otherwise the app becomes pointless
