It’s not just cleaning and tidying - it’s that little voice in your head (I wear earphones) that just gives you that extra boost or tells you not to give up, or to take it easy today - the Tom rocks add on is just amazing - guided cleans ,specific cleans, cleans for when you have 5 minutes, cleans for when you just don’t want to do anything. Just try the free 7 day trial - I was a massive sceptic and I am now an absolute convert.Gemmas funny she’s relatable , this isn’t insta house perfection, it’s your laundry bins overflowing, that bin needs to be taken out and clear away the table. And it works !
Patronising
There is not much focus on cleaning in new sessions. It is more about casual chatter, more like a radio than a cleaning app.
Love it!
I’ve been a long time follower on instagram and the blog, so far I’m loving the app! One little bit of feedback I have, is that I would like to be able to back fill past days if I haven’t had a chance to tick off the jobs on that day.
Bad login experience
I have to login EVERY DAY. After paying for the app, of course… I don’t like that. At all. Please fix this.
I like the method, but the app sometimes freezes
As above - the house looks great. But sometimes when I’m navigating between tasks in the main screen the app just freezes and I need to to quit it to be able to do anything at all.
Changed my life!
I was super lazy and overwhelmed and I let things pile on top of me every day. I would have piles of washing to put away and wash, and I just didn’t know where to start with anything, I felt really lost. I seen this app promoted on TikTok and I had to give it ago not really having high hopes because I’d tried loads of stuff before like cleaning books etc and none helped. However I was pleasantly surprised that after 3 weeks in I’d been sticking to my tasks and keeping on top of my housework. I no longer have piles of washing to wash and I am in a good routine now! It’s helped me so so much ☺️going to recommend this to anyone struggling as I’m super impressed with my progress and change of mindset!
Doesn’t Work now
Requires updated iOS and you now just get a blank screen. No good for people like me without the space to update phone.
Great product, app driving me spare
Love the product but the app isn’t working - it won’t open the tasks for the day despite clicking. Sometimes when I force a restart it does but I’ve just redownloaded and it won’t. So it’s unusable
Content is 5star, app is less
It is far more intuitive and easier to access via patreon than this app. When playing a Tom Rocks session if you want to pause you have to go onto the app. I used to access via patreon and you could pause on the Home Screen of iPhone or watch. It seems clunky using this app but I love the Tom Rocks sessions
Such a motivator
This app has been such a help. I can’t say I follow the method religiously. However, when I’m stuck on the couch experiencing inertia, Gemma is the help I need to get up and get moving. I mostly use the pre-recorded guides. Gemma is motivating and relatable. As a neurodivergent parent with a full time job, I would be without this app.
Constant bugs and minimal responses
I’ve had so many issues with the app, which is extra infuriating as the whole premise of it is to save time, not waste it! I email again and again to the support team but all I’m told is “this is still with the developers”. It’s beyond frustrating.
Nice idea but not practical in everyday use
Love the idea, but the app needs some tweaks to make it more useable. I changed my focus day but the app won’t update my daily tasks for the day and is still showing the focus tasks on the tick list, but showing other tasks in the edit function. Meaning I’m unable to tick off my days list as what I’m doing isn’t listed in the checklist. Also my app keeps crashing on the main page. I have to restart my phone everytime. Would’ve liked a bit more options for the price, but like I say the idea is very good at giving you things to do everyday and then a focus day.
Poor customer support
The actual premise and obvious objective of this app is fabulous and I cannot fault it. However, over the past year or two of using it, I have run into several issues which I have contacted support about. I have not once received a reply - even when I went to the trouble of updating them when I accidentally replicated an error as I know this is key in bug fixing. I asked on their Instagram why I don't get replies and they just told me to email the same address I'd been using. In all honesty, I gave up! As I said, a great premise and the current app is a great improvement on the old design, but their customer support really lets them down.

Never works
Can never click on the checklists, just freezes
I enjoy the app but…..
I have been using the app for a while now. But when customising my cleaning task it doesn’t save it. For example I want to add in my level one task each day load dish washer. I save it however it doesn’t come onto my level 1 tasks. It’s very frustrating. Can this be looked into please.
Widgets?
Waiting till the weekend is over to start the actual clean, however I feel like I need home screen widgets to remind me what I need to do when I go on my phone ready to doom scroll. Even if it just reminds me the area I need to clean and maybe the next days area too so I’m mentally prepared.
Genuinely changed my life
I wish I had started using this app years ago! I have a toddler and I find it difficult to do the daily tasks right now, but the vault full of guided audios has genuinely changed my life. I have undiagnosed ADHD and I have spent almost 15 years trying and failing to get a handle on the housework. I have tried probably hundreds of different strategies by now, with varying degrees of success, but this is the thing that has finally broken through. I love doing my housework now! I am so excited to select an audio and just get going, it honestly feels like a treat. Thank you so so much for making this app and recording these audios, you have genuinely changed mine and my family’s lives for the better ❤️
Poor customer service
It’s ok until something goes wrong and then they aren’t interested. I haven’t been able to access the app or the TOM Rocks sessions for nearly a week since they did the latest update which made it incompatible with tablets. I only use the app on my iPad because it’s not convenient to use it on my phone. Two emails have been sent and I still cannot access the content I have paid for. All I got back after my first email was a very curt and short response saying they are working on it and it should be back to normal very soon. That was 48 hours ago. No apology for the inconvenience, no explanation. I have asked them to refund the money they took by direct debit on 25th May because I cannot access the app and they have not replied. I have cancelled my subscription now because I have no faith in the so-called “support team.” It is unacceptable to take money from customers and then not supply what they have paid for. As regards the guided sessions, they are fine but quite repetitive and most of it consists of telling you how much time you have got left to complete a certain task. You could just set your own timer for this and save yourself £3.59 a month and a whole lot of stress when it comes to deal with the ‘support’ team.
Disappointed
Great idea ‘on paper’ but I’m so disappointed that after downloading the app this evening, and spending a couple of hours excitedly editing my lists, I’ve just gone back and most of my edits haven’t saved. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Think I’ll contact my bank for a chargeback :(
Still an issue with timer
While I find the app useful, there is still an issue which I reported previously, when my phones Home Screen locks it stops the timer. Very frustrating. However, I like the easy to use layout and customisation options.

Wasted my money
It was a god app..
Looks like there was a major update and refresh on this app and since then it had been much less useful. I see the daily list option but it doesn’t specify rooms the way it used to and now there is another feature in app that is of course paid for. Kinda bummed about the new update.. feels less organized than before
Can’t get past first screen
Looks like the app will be good but as someone without children, it doesn’t accept “None” as an answer for How Many Children do you have? Just something to be mindful of as not everyone using this app has children and there is no way of it accepting this answer without choosing to “skip this section”. I know it is called the Organised Mum but for its apparently for anyone trying to get organised.
Guided Cleanings are a gamechanger!
This might be the dopamine talking but the guided cleaning audios set this cleaning app apart from the rest. I did a two hour session today, as my home really needed a once over after my latest adhd burnout. I am sloooooow at cleaning and I constantly get sidetracked or not moving around efficiently from task to task. honestly didn’t think I was gonna sign up after the trial because of the book but I think I will now, for as long as it gets my dopamine going at least. I hope she has more two hours cleans or maybe room by room deep cleans.
Not worth the money
You pay £5.99 for some lists but if you ea t anything more you have to pay a subscription. This wasn’t really clear. Contact customer support and they say about replies will be slow due to the holidays. The holidays were over 44 days ago. That’s not very organised!! Would like my money back please!
Expensive for what it does.
The app is ok. But not worth £5 because it is essentially a list and one that is not as customisable as one would hope. It’s not possible to switch for example Tuesday - bedrooms task to Thursday without having to write it out again in full. I’m regularly locked out and struggle to get back in. The music isn’t to my taste and the “motivation” is just tacky. It’s a 99p app for £5 It’s recently been updated, but still doesn’t do what it ought. I supported another mum, but I still want value for my money.
Notifications please
I love this app however one thing I struggle with is there isn’t any notifications. That’s one of the reasons I got this app, to have that nudge. I’ve checked my settings, as someone that needs reminding it’s annoying as then it’s days until I remember to log in.
Best app ever bought & love the add on subscription too
I have been using this app for so long. I genuinely can’t remember what life was like without it! I first came across it when my soon to be 16 year old was small and it was my game changer. I think the one of the for the app is well worth it, for those lower reviews complaining that it’s just a load of lists, well they are missing the point and the beauty of it all. It’s not just a load of lists, it’s a really well thought out tried and tested method which has been beautifully grouped together in highly satisfying tickle lists. On top of that I pay for, and absolutely love, the Tom Rocks guided cleans. There are keep me company sessions too for all of your day-to-day tasks such as unpacking shopping, clearing your inbox, even pottering in the garden. As well as doing the thinking so you don’t have to, they are full of compassion and camaraderie. I am so very thankful to Gemma and the team for this app, because it genuinely makes my life easier, and when there’s a lot of stuff out there that seems to be trying to make it harder, it’s nice to find a little yellow square of peace to help me keep the housework under control. Because as Gemma herself will say, there’s more to life than housework!
App not working
I love this app but last few weeks every time I click on something to tick off it tells me something went wrong + I can’t get into boot camp or any of the other things on app
New version problem
The new version looks great and is much more user friendly and looks more professional than the old version. Unfortunately, it is glitchy. Sometimes the app won’t open and other times it takes so long for it to register a tick (chore completed) I have to give up and close the app.
Not working for me
I downloaded & paid for the upgrade app a couple of years ago and was doing great. I lost my phone and didn’t download the app again. Recently I’ve realise I need this organisation in my life. Gone to download again and I can’t customise any of my tasks or days…
Great Customer Service
Had a problem with accessing TomRocks of my own making (for me the best bit) and Jenny was really patient with me and talked me through what I needed to do. Everything now works as it should. Thank you! Great Customer Service!
Wouldn’t recommend
I purchased this app at £5.99 thinking it would offer me some help with housework, unfortunately what you get for the app isn’t that helpful, 3 suggestions for a to do list and then a timer, well I’ve already got that on my phone. The TOMS that I was interested in and are repeatedly advertised are not included you have to pay extra and I didn’t know this. Unsure how to get a refund?
Long overdue updates needed
Reminders aren’t synced to your location so I get cleaning reminders at about 9pm each night which of course isn’t helpful. And as much as I like the detail under each area of the house, the cost of this app is not justified at all. Way overpriced for what you receive.
Work needed
This app has potential but needs more work. I’m finding it just hard to use - changing the tasks could be so much more functional and useable. It feels like a chore in itself setting it all up, why not do a walkthrough on first download where you allocate the rooms to the days to suit your preferences, and rule out tasks that don’t apply? Plus, housework is a team effort, why is there no options for collaboration with a partner or child? I just want this concept but as a shared to-do with my partner that we can each tick off together.
Life-changer
This has changed my life. I have a terrible memory and no time perception, so I struggle to do tasks for reasonable lengths of time. I would either spend all day hoovering the stairs or go two weeks without remembering to do anything. This app has changed my life. The TOM rocks recordings measure my time for me and keep me motivated. This enables me to do a little bit of cleaning everyday and, as a result, my house is sparkling. I can’t believe what a difference it has made. I look forward to my TOM rocks sessions and get quite excited to do them everyday. That’s quite an achievement for someone who hated, and was terrible at, housework. The only negative for me is that the name is unnecessarily gendered and anti-childless. I’d prefer it to be retitled to something that makes it feel like it’s for everyone.
Pay to then have to pay more!
Disappointed. My friend recommended the app to me after she had used it. When I paid and downloaded the app I realised that to use most of the features she found best you then have to pay a monthly fee on top of paying for the app! The daily tasks box is empty and can’t be populated, you can only do the boot camp rather than the daily clean. When she checked her app she said it had changed to the same, whereas these features used to be included in the cost of the app. Ridiculous, and a waste of money spent on buying the app now I won’t be using it as I refuse to pay a monthly fee as well!
Needs fixing

Was great but now it won’t work :(
Every time I open the app it says there is an error. My phone is updated as is my husband’s and the error is the same on both devices. It automatically puts a link (to who knows where!) into the password section on both devices and when we try to manually enter a password or reset it doesn’t work. It seems the app is a bit unstable now, hopefully that will change in time and maybe one day we will be able to use it again and not have it be $5 down the drain. When it was working it was wonderful and motivating! I have been a part of team TOMM for over a year now and it keep the chaos out of my house and makes cleaning so very manageable! I was so excited about the app.
