Must use app for your band!
GroupSpot has been a game changer for the Marching Tar Heels. Everything is so organized and in one place for the students & staff to find. All the little details from calendar events with reminder notifications to building forms and RSVP lists and having shared photo albums for each event within the app has made our lives so much easier and given us more space to do other student-focused work. Thank you, GroupSpot, for understanding what we need and giving us a platform to make it happen so easily!
Great Alternative to Standard Team Management Tools
We’ve been using GroupSpot now for a couple years now across no fewer than 10 of our sports programs. The nature of those groups includes a range of overlapping purposes and target audiences including straight team / roster management, player camp management, coach management, and fan / supporter management. In our experience, GroupSpot has served us extremely well on all fronts in no small part to the integrated nature of the communication and roster management features. In addition, GroupSpot allows us to better manage our members, our communications, and therefore, our brand. We were really just hoping for a more flexible communication platform that was also a little less expensive than the alternatives. As a free app, obviously the price cannot be best but the real bonus is that GroupSpot does a good job of communicating their roadmap and so we are really excited about future features right on the horizon that will further enhance the experience for our teams. Last but not least, the support is excellent! We’ve never had a glitch with the app per se, but when assistance is needed understanding a feature or best-practice configuration, GroupSpot is extremely responsive - same-day responsive. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because no app is perfect but really, that’s almost a philosophical position. Nothing is perfect but these guys are definitely on the right track.
Be able to send longer videos
Groupspot has been an amazing app for me, the only thing is that the max a video you can send is 30 seconds. Please make it so the max is like 5 minutes. I think that would be more reasonable and helpful for sharing things with friends. Thanks!
Too many notifications
Would like to see less notifications. I enjoy getting the notification for a new event, but I don’t need everyone’s comment on said event. Is there anyway to eliminate?
Crew helper
This app has been great with getting info to parents from coaches and volunteers for Regatta’s ! College crew you have to rely on your kids for info and it does not always get to you ! So having this app has made it easy for me to communicate with parents as the volunteer! Set up places to meet , food directions ect. The app is user friendly and always someone to help if not sure ! Marching Band Game-Changer!
GroupSpot has been a total game-changer for the University of Delaware Marching Band. Before, we were juggling group texts, email chains, and random apps. Now everything (schedules, announcements, rehearsal plans) lives in one place! My students have never once complained about using it, which honestly might be a first for any app I’ve made them download. Highly recommend for anyone running a large group organization!!
Best App for sports teams!
I managed the Bridgewater Raritan high school lacrosse program parent group. This app replaced multiple email chain as well as text threads. We made my life so much easier in planning and communicating, and received nothing but positive feedback from users. Using the payment option for our end-of-the-year banquet saved me A tremendous amount of time and was so easy to use! Highly recommend

Great Team Management Tool
We use GroupSpot to manage our high school football team. Being able to run our team calendar, send real time updates and have chat all under one central platform is huge for us. Having separate chats by position groups, individuals or the team as a whole cuts down on redundant emails which many times go unread. Being able to upload photo and video clips are a huge help during game week prep. I’ve used other apps and GroupSpot by far has been the best option for us!
